Designer Travel Anmeldelser 

We requested Fiona of Designertravel to plan and book a holiday to Zambia in southern Africa to see family in the second half of August 2026. We requested a flight plan, 4 star hotel accommodation near to the family and car hire for urban use.
All were organised for us efficiently and satisfactorily and Fiona was particularly attentive to our requirements as senior citizens travelling to a hard to reach long haul destination involving three plane journeys. We thank Fiona and Designertravel for their service.

Would never use this company again tin pot company.
Paid deposit for a cruise and they told me pwy within 3 montgs of departure then they r chasing me four months before departure then i had a family issie where a family member was diagonosed with camcer and needed treatment and had to be around in the event or them needing me i asked of i coukd move the deposit to another holiday or cruise i was told.no and tgey cancelled.my cruise so please never book holiday with this company stay clear of tjese people and company thieves is a under statement.

It aint just me that complai s about your two bob company woukd never use your compnay angain and im telling evetybody i speak to never use you avoid at every possible expense

Our experience has not been great at all. Went through the process to book a holiday via Designer Travel (won’t mention the name of the rep, but begins with A) and the cost was astronomically bad. It turns out, compared to making the package ourselves (identical, in every way), they have the price £5000 higher, which is of course commission, reinforced by the fact they will not provide a transparent breakdown should any changes need to be made.

Upon contesting the price, we were then told lies complete lies:

‘You aren’t ATOL protected if you book elsewhere’ - a lie. Many platforms are ATOL protected on many packages. And our bank also has travel insurance, which when mentioned, led to them telling the next lie:

‘The Iran conflict voids your insurance if you change through Abu Dhabi’ - a lie. There was an amber alert to say not to stay over in Abu Dhabi, but changing there was fine and there was zero effect on travel insurance.

Really disappointed and not a great way to build trust. Due to being told pure lies (which I have screenshotted), it has to be a 1 star instead of 2. The commission led to a quote of £11,000 for a £6000 holiday, with everything identical.

Ive used Lindy a few times now and the service is always second to none.
She took on board all of my requirements, of which there are many and even managed to secure a late check out on the day of departure as we have a late flight home.
Booking with Lindy I am confident we will have a stress free holiday.

Sheila is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for her,we have been booking holidays with her for years now. She always goes the extra mile!

Amanda takes the time to explore exactly what you want and only recommends places she can vouch for personally, every little detail is taken care of to ensure your bucket list is better than you can imagine, she never fails to answer the phone and is always available to answer questions. They were recommended to me by a friend and I would never use anyone else for long haul complex travel arrangements with a company and individual you can trust. We have priced up the same itineraries they plan for us with other specialist long haul companies and they were a third more expensive for the same holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend. Holidays taken with this company include Canada, America, Cruises.
