Negative experience
I am deeply disappointed by the quality and safety of care I received through this platform.
I consulted with two different dermatologists for hyperpigmentation and clearly stated in my intake forms that I am actively trying to conceive and undergoing IVF treatment.
Despite this critical information, the first dermatologist recommended oral antibiotics and topical antibiotics for a condition I explicitly noted was not active acne, but residual post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This recommendation was inappropriate, excessive, and poorly aligned with both my clinical presentation and reproductive goals.
I then sought a second opinion through the same platform, only to be prescribed a compounded cream containing tretinoin and hydroquinone, again despite my documented TTC/IVF status. When I followed up to clarify whether tretinoin is appropriate while trying to conceive, the response narrowly stated that tretinoin is contraindicated “when pregnant,” failing to address peri-conception exposure, early unrecognized pregnancy, or risk–benefit judgment for a non-urgent cosmetic condition.
Taken together, these experiences raise serious concerns about whether patient intake information is being meaningfully reviewed before prescriptions are issued, and whether care is being delivered via protocol rather than individualized clinical judgment.
Patients, especially those navigating fertility treatment, should not have to repeatedly protect themselves from inappropriate or poorly considered prescriptions. I would strongly caution anyone who is trying to conceive or who requires nuanced medical decision-making to proceed very carefully and to question recommendations thoroughly before filling any prescriptions from this service.
