Southsea Deckchairs was founded by Stephen Davies, a deckchair attendant working on Southsea beach during the 1980s and this is where Stephen’s love of deckchairs began. The Southsea Deckchair workshop was established in 1991, and the first batch was ready in the same year. The Southsea deckchair was developed from life-cycle testing and continuous improvement over the next 15 years with the three essential ingredients capable of withstanding a seaside environment: quality, strength and durability.

In pursuit of Balliu sunloungers!
After a holiday in Jersey I was in pursuit of Balliu sunloungers for the garden and looked for a UK supplier. On finding Southsea Deckchairs this looked a definite choice. The website was clear and precise and they clearly had a good choice so after ordering we took delivery 4-5 working days later and wasn't disappointed. They were very well packaged and now take pride of place on our patio. I would definitely order from them again and wish them every success.

The best windbreaks on the market!
We have been stocking Southsea Deckchairs' windbreaks in all 17 of the beach huts we manage, and we genuinely couldn't recommend them more highly.
The quality of their windbreaks is outstanding. They are exceptionally well made, incredibly durable, and have stood up brilliantly to the demands of a busy beach environment. They continue to look great season after season, making them a fantastic investment.
What really sets Southsea Deckchairs apart is their customer service. From ordering to delivery, everything is handled professionally and efficiently, and nothing is ever too much trouble. A special mention has to go to Grant, whose friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful approach makes dealing with the company an absolute pleasure.
If you're looking for high-quality beach equipment backed by first-class customer service, Southsea Deckchairs are simply the best. We wouldn't use anyone else.

Incredible quality
Super easy to order, fast delivery and the deckchair is amazing quality. It is far more robust than I expected and actually makes you want to care for it, since so much care has clearly gone in to the design and quality. Will definitely be ordering a second chair!

I loved the back story and UK…
I loved the back story and UK construction. My Dad was from Portsmouth and we used to holiday every summer around Hayling Island Southsea, Portsmouth so buying something from this area made it even more special. The deckchairs were a gift for my husbands 60th birthday he wanted quality ones to last. I loved the website it was easy to use the choice was excellent and they arrived really quickly. The quality is great I am overall very pleased and impressed.

The delivery was super quick
The delivery was super quick, and the colours were so beautiful to choose from! We ended up going with the green sling for our replacement, and it's just amazing! Our deck chair is still fantastic, though it's been nearly 15 years since we bought it!

Packaging not great first time around…
Packaging not great first time around and lounger arrived broken. However, problem dealt with very swiftly by customer service with new one delivered intact and old one removed within 2 days. Very pleased with product.
