A beacon of hope for anyone struggling with overwhelming debt. They took my complex financial situation and simplified it into a manageable plan. Their Communication was excellent, keeping me informed at every step of the process. I am eternally grateful for their expertise and guidance.

Nic Gaddin made my experience to go ahead with the debt proposal very easy, wasn’t pushy and explained everything I needed to know in order to make an educated decision to consent to the proposal. He responded quickly and professionally to any of my texts and messages. This has taken a huge weight off my shoulders and Nic was there every step of the way. I highly recommend him to assist others to lower their debts and breathe a little easier in these very trying times.

The total cost for my consumer proposal was just over $2,500. From what I can tell, all that Debt Review did was collect my information and pass it along to an Insolvency Trustee.

All of the communication from them stated that they would communicate with my creditors and collectors, organize meetings with relevant parties, collect information, and assist with budgeting.

At the end of the day, they asked for the information that an insolvency trustee would have asked me for and gave it to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. In my opinion, $2,500 is quite an expense for something that an Insolvency Trustee would have asked me to begin with, especially for someone who is in a tough financial position.

Debit Review may be helpful for some, according to the reviews here, however in my opinion, their business model is that of vultures preying on people who are in a tough position and offer a solution for a handsome sum of money.

Luckily I am a "read the fine print" person, and although the fine print at DR looked good, while reviewing my actual insolvency proposal there is a section in there that states "I am not required to make any additional payments for financial advice already received. Any obligation for future payments to the provider of financial advice can be discharged".

Since debt review has only provided financial advice and have no actual value in my insolvency proposal, I will not be continuing my payments to them (they have already received nearly $1,000 from me).

Hopefully as per their "Agreement" they will terminate my agreement with me for me stopping my payments.

Still allowing for 2 stars as if you don't know where to look, maybe the $2,500 fee is worth it to you to have them find an insolvency trustee for you. But if you just google search Licensed Insolvency Trustee, you can save $2,500.

My experience with debt review has left me hopeless. The least I can say is they are “not to be trusted”

This company is a middle man business for insolvency lawyers and they’re trying to pocket your money off the most desperate and vulnerable just like any payday loan creditor. I dealt specially with Milos Popov and Mohdeep Kular.

There was only one specific time where conversation became hostile over the phone with Milos when he made a promise he couldn’t keep and I questioned him on it he raised his voice at me. Other than that they are well versed in verbal manipulation and will sweet talk solutions. Sadly they’re “solutions” they don’t actually know they can provide. I would be warned that they use kindness and big promises to convince you to buy into them.

With my story I provided my debts to which Milos gave me a guarantee (he confirmed this over and over before I agreed) that my debts would be reduced with a solution he presented.

However since debt review is not actually licensed to give this advice, they have to refer out to real lawyers. I had already submitted a $300 payment to Milos for a solution he promised but when he double checked with a real lawyer he found out I was not eligible for this solution…however he continued to ask for next months payment? In fact his advice was all wrong and the solution he provided was not possible, yet he wanted me to keep buying into him. It was fishy so I searched a second opinion with a company that had real lawyers

I got in contact with a real insolvency lawyer because Milos was now suggesting bankruptcy as an alternative to his failed suggestion and to keep me paying into debt review. The insolvency lawyer told me details about bankruptcy, details that milos never disclosed or intentionally left out that would change my mind.

Milos and debt review was leading me down a path that was not in my best interest and would have derailed me for almost a decade. I decided to cancel my involvement with debt review but when I asked for my money back (since the solution they promised was never an option) they refused to refund me?

They said I was paying into a program I agreed to even though what I agreed to was impossible because milos couldn’t actually back the promise of debt review.

I have played phone tag for days with their supervisor Mohdeep trying to get my $300 for groceries and rent back since my company is going on strike and Moe has zero empathy. Milos has ghosted after promising to “be there through this whole thing”.

Moe even wanted me to sign a form saying I would not speak badly of debt review but since that form did not promise to return my funds. (Screen shot below) I declined and decided to write a review to protect other trusting humans.

instead I told debt review to keep my $300 and I’ll write a review to hopefully save someone from the mistake I made with this professional scam.

This company is just another business that takes advantage of trusting, poor, desperate and disabled people of today. I have 6 years post secondary, came from domestic abuse and homelessness all of which Milos knew and he still treated me like a paycheck and not a person. I feel financially raped

This company is not insolvency lawyers so any advice they give is not reliable. I suggest going to any of the other dozens of debt consolidation companies that actually use real lawyers

I just hope to steer anyone from these people. They’re not a safe company trust.

The recorded conversation will show I was never aware I was in a program that would prevent DR suggestions. I was told that Milos had my credits on screen and could see my account, leaving me to assume the promises made were 100% possible.

The recordings will show milos convincing me of his promise to replace my debts based on my information provided. I assumed that since you had my SIN and all account access you could see my account just like an insolvency lawyer.

However your company pretends they can do things but actually has no real basis of authority, nor full access to the files you say you do. milos says on the phone “yes I can see your student loans”I can see this I can see that but missed the proposal? He makes a plan for my finances, assumed he was using the correct knowledge based on the information I provided and DR asked for. It was only after DR dug deeper and after refering out & taking payment you realize that one of the credits in my account was a consumer proposal and not a loan. DR had “full access” to my files and gave improper advice because at the end of the day DR can’t do anything until asking a real lawyer. When I realized DR was not adding up I called a lawyer. They used my same information that DR used & somehow had no problem seeing the consumer proposal DR didn’t. The lawyer said that “debt review should have never made that offer” yall lie

Hi I contacted debt review because I was at my last bus stop and did not know where to turn where my bills are concerned, every end of the month am running around looking for money, paying and reloaning to pay bills. Then I saw debt review online and decided to take a change with them and is an experience I would never forget, the staff is amazing starting with David then onto Noel, after him it was Anna, am telling you guys they make you feel like you had known them for a very long time. Please don't suffer in silence because this company is here to help.

This is not a scam!! They call you and ask you about your recent situation. They truly help without selling you anything. No pressure nor judgement.

Every point of communication with the staff at the Debt Review office has been professional and efficient. More specifically, the direction and kind reassurance from Tahir in getting me organized and set-up has been wonderful. I've never been in a financial mess before, and was feeling confused and concerned. Tahir helped to alleviate my worries and provided great tips to help me get my financial rating back up. I'm very appreciative of his approach to supporting clients, and his tips to help improve my credit rating.

Tahir, he was so kind and efficient in explaining everything to me. I was in a financial disaster but with Tahir's help I will be able to breath a little easier. Love this debt review took a big load off my shoulders took a bit of time but I have less to worry about and it’s easy to get it done

I really felt very confidential and comfortable in the conversation I had with Noel Cabrera, it was very professional both in English and Spanish, I hope that in the future I can maintain communication with Noel, if I decide to enter the program
