Our son had previously been assessed for Autism at 8 years old by the local NHS / CAMHS team in our area. We also believed that he had ADHD but this not been picked up in the single assessment offered by the NHS at that time.

We visited the Dawn Practice because it was essential to us that any assessment and diagnosis was carried out by consultants who had experience working with the NHS. This gave us piece of mind that any diagnosis would be robust and would be accepted by the NHS and other appropriate bodies.

We met Dr Raghu Krishnasamy for an initial consultation and subsequently a full ADHD assessment. The level of rigour in working with us as a family, contacting our son's school, etc was at the same level as we experienced previously with the NHS / CAMHS team for our son's Autism assessment.

After confirming the ADHD diagnosis, we went through the process of titration to assess an appropriate type and level of medication to support our son. Dr Raghu was always very supportive to explain the process of setting up the medication, potential side effects, and alternatives.

The biggest compliments that I can pay to the Dawn Practice are that:
(i) Our now 13 year old son has contributed and been listened to in the decision making that the current medication is working for him to support his studies at high school; and
(ii) that we have recently been discharged from the practice as the NHS has agreed to take over our son's medication and treatment. The assessment and prescription from the Dawn Practice was accepted by the local CAMHS team in full and without question.

We're very grateful to the support that we received from the Dawn Practice and know that we made the right choice on going here.

I contacted The Dawn Practice following a late ADHD diagnosis, seeking support to process the impact of living for decades with undiagnosed ADHD. I had a great experience with using the resources that the dawn practice offer highly recommend it if you and or your child is is seeking a diagnosis of adhd or autism or if your need counselling there great also for that too.

We looked very carefully at several clinics before choosing this clinic to assess our son for Autism and ADHD. From the very first chat over the telephone before our appointment, to the final discussion the staff were fabulous. Vicki was so kind caring and professional and it was obvious that her knowledge of ASD/ADHD was second to none. Both the GP and school commented that the report was the best they had seen for this type of assessment.

I have had a few years of really great experiences here. Firstly with my two audhd childrens assesments and diagnosis that has led onto them getting the educational and health support that they need.
Laterly I have been assesed and diagnosed in 2024 with Dr Roy for my own adhd and finally with Dr Laura Brougham this month for my ASD assesment and diagnosis.
All of the team are very thorough and proffesional, experienced and very kind.

Its a daunting journey made all the better with their care and attention.

Dr Brougham has went on to provide an in depth anyalisis of me that will help me understand why certain things are very hard for me.. she has also recommened a specialist therapist who specilaises in the areas of support that will benefit me the most in months and years to come.

I would highly recommend Dawn Practise and all of the team there.
