Yuki, John and the team are incredible. From our first email exchange they were warm, friendly and so helpful.

They took care of every little detail and the whole thing was sorted in a few emails. They were so responsive, making recommendations, handling dealings with the authorities for the relevant permissions, it was all seamless.

Upon arrival on the beautiful island we were blown away. From Yuki greeting us like we were long lost relatives and escorting us to collect the paperwork to loaning our photographer her car to get us to the wedding when our hire car broke down, the team could not have done more for us.

And as for the lighthouse and the ceremony, it was perfect, so romantic and so beautiful. It was so intimate and despite being with people we had only met the day before, the team were so very warm and being in their presence felt like being with family.

We can not thank Yuki and the team enough for the lengths they went to - to
make our day perfect, they are so professional and how much they care shone through in everything they do. It’s also clear how much they enjoy working with Neli, and Dorte to put together a complete package for their customers.

We’re so glad we stumbled across their website and we can not recommend them highly enough.

From start to finish Danish Island Weddings made sure our wedding was magical and stress free. They organized everything and made it very easy to get married. They provided details and resources from everything on how to book the ferry to the best places to stay on the island to venues descriptions to advice on dates for the wedding. We married at the lighthouse and it was spectacular. The flowers, grown and arranged by Danish Island Weddings, were beautiful and perfectly fit with my dress and our colors. They organized my hair and makeup as well and Augusta was fantastic. Also, the photographer they recommend - Neli - is outstanding and provided pictures we will cherish. We were impressed with everything. And Yuki is so kind and thoughtful. If you are thinking of getting married, Aero is beautiful and Danish Island Weddings is amazing. I highly, highly recommend them.

Highly recommended! We had the most beautiful wedding day with Danish Island Weddings. The team is absolutely amazing - from the first contact until the wedding itself they immediately understood and included our wishes, kept us updated, and made everything suit to us 100%.
The email exchange and also the final meeting were absolutely warm and familiar, so that we felt really comfortable and welcomed! Everything was perfect! I can't imagine better wedding — everyone was so open, friendly and involved. What's especially valuable is our shared vision of what we consider cozy, and the attention to the details. Beautiful decanter for elderflower drink, playlist, flowers for the flower crown from own garden, cake, candles. I am incredibly happy that we were able to come to Ærø and that our wedding was done by the girls and John from Danish Island Wedding.

The Old Merchant’s House in Ærøskøbing was the most magical setting we could have dreamed of – full of history, charm, and romance. The flowers were simply perfect, and every little detail reflected so much love and thoughtfulness.

It was always a true team effort, and we are deeply grateful to John, Neli, Camilla, Anna, Louise, and Yuki for guiding us through the process and making everything so easy and stress-free. Your warmth and dedication made us feel completely at ease, so we could focus on the most important thing – each other.

We recently had a wedding that was organised with DIW.
We actually decided to have our wedding planned by DIW because of some of these reviews online. I wrote them an email and booked a date even without having visited Ærø.
Then we visited the island during off season and while we still loved everyone at DIW, we were a bit concerned that it might not be what we expected.
Oh, we were soo wrong! It was the most amazing wedding! And yes, I'm biased since it's my own wedding, but it really was an amazing wedding!
Since we spoke with multiple people while planning this wedding, our final verdict is this — if you're planning to get married in Ærø, DIW gives the best advice. Need a DJ? Catering? Location? They know all the right people. And for us the people who supported us throughout the process made our wedding special. They all actually cared. And they all wanted us to have the best day. That means a lot! Thank you for our special day and we hope that others get to enjoy their wedding as much as we loved ours!

The team of DIW did made our wedding on Ærø so incredibly special. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt completely supported, warmly welcomed, and genuinely cared for.

Every detail was taken care of with such grace and professionalism, and it meant the world to us to know that we were in such capable hands. Yuki and everyone involved from Danish Island Weddings made our wedding one of the most beautiful experience of our lives. It was extremely intimate and nice, Yuki’s support was endless and we can’t be enough grateful for what they offered to us. A peaceful event, where I felt they are there for us. Location is great, the support given and the kindness, it is simply a blessing. I can only recommend, for a wonderful experience!

Yuki, Louise and the whole team at DIW did a fantastic job organizing our wedding on top of the beautiful lighthouse on the island Arero.

They were very responsive during the planning phase and took their time to adjust to our whishes and requests. We were happy that they did not try to "sell" any additional services.

Upon our arrival on the island the date before our wedding we had a lovely pre-meeting and felt very welcome in their little office in the heart of Aeroskobing. We really felt that they shared our joy during the ceremony, even though they are so professional when it comes to organizing wedding ceremonies. They are very well connected around the island and had fantastic recommendations regarding hotels, restaurants and photographers (shoutout to Neli!).

We are really happy with our decision to work with DIW for our wedding. Everything went really smooth and we were able to sololey focus on us and our ceremony :)

Wir haben von einem unvergesslichen Tag geträumt und dieses Team hat es möglich gemacht! Wir wurden von Anfang an toll von Yuki unterstützt. Mit den Dokumenten bis hin zu Hilfe bei der Suche nach der besten Fotografin Neli Garnet und der Visagistin Augusta.Bereits das erste Treffen war warm und herzlich. Am Tag der Hochzeit wurde ich im Haus selbst betreut und so unglaublich nett betreut und vorbereitet. Die Trauung selbst war auf dem Leuchtturm. Ich hatte zuvor viele Bilder gesehen, aber DanishIslandWedding hat dort eine Atmosphäre gezaubert, die einmalig ist! Und ganz persönliche Wünsche meinerseits-als Überraschung für meinen Mann- wurden so diskret und liebevoll umgesetzt, dass es mich immer wieder zu Tränen rührte. Danke, danke, danke. Wir kommen gerne nach Ærø zurück!

What a perfect day, the beach wedding exceeded our expectations. Yuki and the team at Danish Island Weddings were absolutely fantastic and planned the perfect day for us on the beautiful Island of Aero. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Als wir im Jahr 2024 begonnen haben, uns Gedanken über unsere Hochzeit zu machen, kam der Fernsehbericht über die Hochzeitsinsel und Danish-Island-Weddings genau richtig. Eine Woche nach der Ausstrahlung im Mai 24 haben wir beschlossen die Insel zu besuchen. Yuki hat sich spontan Zeit für uns genommen, so dass wir einen ersten persönlichen Eindruck bekommen haben. Wir waren beide sofort begeistert, da es sich alles so „hygge“ angefühlt hat, genau das, was wir uns gewünscht hatten. Am gleichen Tag haben wir noch entschieden, dass Yuki und ihr Team unsere Hochzeit im Juni 2025 begleiten sollen. Im Januar diesen Jahres begann Yuki dann mit uns zusammen die Planung. Es war alles so unkompliziert und fühlte sich einfach nur gut an. Yuki war für uns jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns alle Fragen beantwortet und uns auch unsere Nervosität genommen. Es ist einfach schön, dass es möglich ist, eine Hochzeit auch entspannt zu organisieren. Die Hochzeit selbst fand genau so statt, wie wir uns das vorgestellt hatten. Yuki und ihr Team haben alles gut organisiert. Auch unsere liebevolle Hochzeitsfotografin Neli war ein unvergesslicher Teil. Alles war perfekt und auch entspannt, obwohl wir alle, auch unsere Gäste, sehr nervös waren. Am Vormittag konnte ich mich als Braut im Ankleidezimmer zusammen mit meiner Tochter in Ruhe vorbereiten. Die sehr herzliche Friseurin Augusta bereitete meine Frisur sehr liebevoll vor. Ich kann Augusta als Friseurin nur empfehlen. Als beim anziehen meines Brautkleides am Reißverschluss ein kleines Malheur passierte, war ich sehr erstaunt, wie entspannt und schnell das Team von Yuki eine Alternative gefunden hatten. Yuki, Louise, ihre Mutter und auch Neli haben zusammen eine grossartige Lösung gefunden. Die Mutter kam als Näherin spontan vorbei, obwohl sie gerade in ihrem Garten entspannte. Hierfür unsererseits noch mal ein ganz großes Dankeschön. Die Hochzeit selbst im Hochzeitszimmer war perfekt. Das Zimmer war sehr liebevoll dekoriert, die Blumensträuße waren einfach nur schön. Der Hochzeitskuchen war sehr lecker und ebenfalls sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Bis heute fehlen uns die Worte, diesen unvergesslichen Tag zu beschreiben. Wir können einfach nur Danke sagen, auch in Namen unserer Gäste. Wir danken Yuki und ihrem Team sehr dafür, dass sie einen sehr großen Teil dazu beigetragen haben, dass es ein perfekter und unvergesslicher Tag für uns gewesen ist.

As an international couple, we chose Denmark because of the straightforward bureaucracy. Furthermore, we are so glad we decided to get married with DIW on Ærø. The communication in advance, as well as the assistance with submitting documents, was easy and clear. The island is unbelievably beautiful, and Yuki and Louise have an amazing ability to enhance the charm of the place with their decorations. We love DIW’s story and that even the beautiful flowers are sourced locally. Everything was simply beautiful, tasteful, and friendly. We wouldn’t have wanted anything different; it was exactly as we wished. We also recommend booking Neli Garnet as the photographer. She is wonderful too! Amazing experience from start to end. The whole process is so smooth and well-organized that we had very little work ourselves before the weeding. Whenever we had a question we received almost instant feedback.
