When I first heard about it I just wanted to know more and take part and I am so so glad I did. I love it. Every week is different, brilliant and professional dance instructor and so glad Dance Yourself Fit came into my life. Simply the best.

Sooooo frustrating……she can’t even see what we’re all doing behind her!!! No, there’s no mirror for her to see us behind her. I was wondering if it was just this instructor but we had a different one this week and guess what…..the exact same thing. They talk into a headset but it’s hard to hear over the loud music sometimes.
More frustrating than enjoyable. Will definitely not be joining for another term!
I would definitely recommend Dance Yourself Fit. I’m 60, a bit overweight and had done little exercise apart from walking for quite a while. My sister sent me a DYF ad & I could see there were plenty of people like me in the class. I decided to give it a go even though I felt quite anxious about it and I’m so glad I did. It’s a lot of fun! The teacher is great and signals everything clearly but we still go wrong at times - everyone’s the same & we just laugh about it. It’s a friendly non-judgmental space and it’s very much up to you to decide how hard to push yourself. At the beginning I sometimes left out the arm movements or marched on the spot a bit to catch my breath but I find I can keep up now. About half way through the class I find I’ve got a big grin on my face - that doesn’t happen at the gym! On Fridays they release practice videos so you get a heads up on the steps for the next week. I sometimes find these are not quite broken down enough for me but they definitely help me keep up in the class. There’s also a dance workout video each week you can do at home. When I hurt my knee and had to skip a week I was really disappointed so I’m confident I’ve found something I will keep up. I took photos at the beginning and end of the first term and could see improvement in my shape. I’ve got more energy. It helps with stress too - it’s good head space because you’re just concentrating on the steps and enjoying the music. For my area it’s excellent value for money too.
Dance Yourself Fit classes are a weekly highlight for me! The classes are so energetic, the dance routines are easy to follow with the guidance of the instructor (who is so professional and supportive) and from the weekly breakdown videos sent at the beginning of each week. Even without practising the steps before a class, it is always enjoyable, no dread, no pressure to perform, just do your best, stay involved and enjoy the music. Joining has raised my energy and fitness level, I have made new friends, renewed old acquaintences - everybody is so encouraging and down to earth. I catch myself smiling all through the class and that feels good - my mood is elevated and I feel I could move a mountain afterwards! Thank you to the DYF Team!

I think the communication is very good about class times etc. I like the classes to varying degrees depending on the music choice, but that is a me problem! I give 4 out of 5 as I think the videos could be improved. I used to do Irish dancing as an adult beginner and their videos would focus on the feet both slowed down version and normal speed. I have no dance experience bar this so saying rondo or cucharacha and expecting me
To know what I am doing with my feet is not as helpful as maybe having a second video showing that move

DYF..Calderstones, wow, such a fantastic class for all ages and abilities, I went alone and was nervous as an older woman not at all fit and my dancing skills are questionable 😅.. but I love it, such a fun way to excerise, no judgement, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, the instructor is so energetic warm and helpful its my favourite time of the week , highly recommend to all , and I've even lost inches 😀 after just 5 weeks, loving DYF ❤️

I absolutely luv my Dance Fit class
I look forward to it every week, my class is Monday evenings , so after a 10 hour day in work it helps me unwind, loosen up and smile.... its so envigorating.... its such fun...there is no pressure to keep up, or be the best, its great for the mind and body....
For anyone thinking of joining up,..STOP thinking.... and DO IT... your worth it....
You know the saying "feel the fear, and do it anyway"
Go on.... try it....ya know you want to....!!!

I have always enjoyed dancing. Now I need the exercise! So exercising to music under the guidance and direction of our inspirational instructor, Natasha Cappola fits the bill. Our class is on a Thursday so towards the end of the week, I might drag my heels a bit but after the tonic of the DYF class, the smile is on the endorphins are up and I feel great .But of course when you sign up for classes, you can avail of so much more...steps break down videos, online fitness classes, fitness tracker, meal plans and community support included.

From the minute I walked in the door when I joined up 3 years ago I went in as an stranger not knowing anyone but it was fine ,
My friend Marian couldn't make that term , I don't mind doing anything once & I'm not shy about going places on my own . 3 years in We have our little group that has kept up the dancing from Term 1 to now .
And new faces joining up all the time some drop off but come back on another term .
Three years in & still loving it .
Now lets talk about Nicky Kelly well she is an bundle of fresh air . Great Energy , Good Fun , The dance Session are just Electric , like the air guitar , We should add in the hands for the drums next time , like for something new ??
And the music is great just sing along .
I LOVE this hour away from the house ,It's my time to push myslef & honestly I do ,by the time the third song is on , i'm sweating buckets & red face , never mind when the class is over & the t shirt is stuck to me & Nicky pipes up come on Ladies , We'll take an photo .
What a buzz that session is , it sets you up for the week .
Don't forget your water & even throw in an small face cloth but the trick is make sure it goes into the freezer that day ,when you take it out , put cold water over it & squeeze it out & pop it into an lunch bag , Trust me LADIES ye will Thank Me for that tip never mind when the summer starts .
I had surgery yesterday so i cant go back to dance class till 4 to 6 weeks , I will climb the wall's as i LOVE this class .
I'm paid up for next term & it will be by the 3rd week ill be back , You will see me again Nicky , it all depends on the healing process as I type this I should be at 6.30pm class in Tuam this evening but as they say , I'll be back as this is not my first rodeo
August 2024 I fell & torn ligaments in the right ankle & September 2024 i popped out the other ankle as they say I don't do things by half .
