I joined TSD in October 2024 after years of yo-yo dieting. I had tried everything and reached a very low point with my weight and was struggling with food anxiety must of the time. Id had a negative experience with a PT but after doing my research thought I'd give this a go.
After nearly 6 months I've lost just over a stone and settling 23cm's. My weight is slowly coming down but my body has really changed shape and my clothes feel a lot better on me. I'm not where I want to be yet, but I will get there.
The support you get us great, the inner circle is just the best thing to help get you through the harder days. Everyone in that group is so supportive and it helps keep me focused when I give others support.
Changing your relationship with food or exercise or even just yourself is hard, but it's really worth it.
If you're struggling with weight, you should try this, it might just change your life(as well as your dress size!)

My Journey with Alex Neilan Tsd
So I joined AlexNeilan sustainable change back in Jan 23 ,feeling lost,low,grieving and generally low .
My confidence was low and was frightened to exercise post TIA for fear of it recurring.
So help was needed and that's exactly what I got .
With my own coach ,nutrition plan for me my needs ,exercise plan ,mindset coaching ,lives on every topic you can think of and lots of support .
I progressed well and lost 20lbs in 4 months ,then I was diagnosised with breast cancer June 23 ,after lots of scans I had a 12 and half hour op on October 23 ,I recieved support from every corner of tsd ,counselling, help with sleep lots of messages from the ladies in our inner circle. Had further surgery in Dec 23 then spent 2024 recovering ,walking miles ,doing weights ,cross trainer ,wild water swimming ,mindset work reading attending lives getting stronger mentally,physically, and emotionally ,set small and big goals for myself and achieved them .
This group isn't only about losing weight it's so much more yes I've lost 2st 6 lbs ,46 cms off of my waist,hips thighs and back but Jackie is back and more ,no stopping me.
My greatest achievements are organising a charity event to raise money for plastic surgery team, I walked 23miles one day and 14 the next raised £10,000 it was overwhelming to give back and the support I got was immense ,still makes me emotional. I've climbed old man of Coniston and 4 further peaks at same time excillerating x
I've survived cancer and have never felt so grateful to be here and my resilience is back thanks to this group .
I'm setting more goals achieving my bucketlists too living life to the full .
One of my hardest challenges when I started was putting myself first ,I had never done it ,but wow when I did and still am sky's the limit. Anyone not sure of committing to this programme, JUST Do IT it will change your life in every way ,embrace it just for you and live life to the full .Jackie

TSD is so much more than just a way to loose some weight
If you had told me 10 weeks ago that I would be carving out some 'ME' time to exercise I would have laughed at you. But joining TSD has shown me that to be around in later life for my family it is so so important to put myself first.
10 weeks ago I was in a rut, I was overweight and unfit . I had resigned myself to being like that for the rest of my life. I couldn't walk up the stairs without my knees complaining and running around after my 3yr old granddaughter left me out of breath and exhausted. To the outside world I was happy and contact but inside I was miserable, unhappy and not myself.
Since joining TSD I am walking at least 7,000 steps a day. I have set aside 30mins 3xtimes a week to follow the exercise program that my lovely coach Andy has created for me, I have even sent him videos of me doing those exercise, unheard of for me to be in front of the camera. He has sent me a whole list of recipes I can follow in order to stay within my macro's and calories for the day. We touch base several times a week and if I'm having a bad day he is always at the end of the phone to cheer me on and cheer me up.
I have tried all the other leading 'diet' companies over the years and don't get me wrong they have worked for a while but the weight has soon gone back on. With TSD my weight loss has been slow and steady, nothing drastic like some of the others promised, and I have lost inches and started to feel toned. I can definitely get to my goals this time around with the help of Alex and his team, it will take me a while but I am getting there. I'm not in a rush like the Hare but happy with my slow steady progress like the Tortoise.
TSD has a whole raft of qualified health professionals, I get access to weekly mindset classes, nutritional classes and a daily live session with Alex every morning. These set me up for the day and on days when I can't log into the live they are recorded so I can watch them back later
It can be daunting to take the first step towards a better you and a better future but I am truly grateful that I found TSD via an Instagram post. I would say to anyone who is unsure about taking the plunge to join the TSD family just go for it, do it, and trust in the process. This isn't one of those get thin quick schemes this is so much more. You will rediscover your true self, become more confident, get fitter and learn to love yourself again, just like I have.

Life changing and sustainable
I initially signed up with TSD for 12 weeks and learnt so much in that time that I decided to continue my journey as I wanted to develop and grow myself further. My journey with TSD has been the best investment I have made in myself as well as the best experience, as I have not only lost weight and gained the body composition I had in my younger years (I am now fast approaching 60!) but its also been the mindset changes. In the past I have worked with many PT's and although I did get results at the time, they went out the window as soon as soon as I stopped. The difference with this is that not only is it sustainable but you actually get to learn to understand what you need to do and why you are doing it, something I have found important to set me up for life. You are given personal advice/guidance by a Coach. My coach Fra is absolutely brilliant, even if I haven't made contact with him, he always checks up on me, on hand with encouragement and advice.
Not only have I been given the tools, support and knowledge to maintain a healthier and happier lifestyle but I have access to Qualified Health Professionals who give weekly mindset classes. As the classes are taped I have not felt under any pressure to attend the lives, due to my now study time and home life and can watch in my own free time. I cant stress enough that its not just another diet plan, it really has been and still is a life changing experience so much so that TSD inspired me in quitting my Business of 29 years and re training to become a PT and Nutritionist, a dream I held for many years and is now becoming my reality.
Alex is very passionate in his profession and my experience is that he genuinely is kind and caring, likes to help and support people, so much so that if it wasn't for him and my lovely coach Fra I would have struggled to get over the loss of my mum and nan within weeks of one another as well as enduring a year long illness. They truly provided the support and encouragement I needed to stay on track and not give up on myself.
I now wake up feeling positive and look forward to my day's ahead.

Empowerment. Transformed Regrets, to Control and actions.
Before starting the program with TSD, I was in that grey area between the urge to do something to improve my image and health or accept that being overweight was going to be my norm. As soon as I pay attention to what I was accepting in resignation, I decided to give a try to this program. Why? because it looked real, with added information and suggestions that made sense to me, and because I was able to relate to most of the testimonials. So, I decided to try it.
After 10 weeks into the program, I am amazed with all my achievements. I reduce weight/centimeters. I moved from zero physical activity to early visits to the gym to complete my trainings with enthusiasm. From unstructured meals to healthy meal cooking (recipes are good). From deep regret when eating a desert, to understand that real life also includes deserts, and I allow them in my life by committing to extra training. Is not easy or magical, but worth every effort, and the satisfaction is huge!
All these achievements were unimaginable for me 10 weeks ago, and the difference is in the TSD team. The support you get from your trainer is constant. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kathyn, she is simply amazing! She follows up on my progress on a regular basis, and in those moments when I felt vulnerable, I reached out to her, and she answer all my questions in a way that made me feel reassured. Kathryn many thanks for your support, I know I would not get this far without it.
For those of you starting the program or thinking if this is a good fit for you, all I can say is, go ahead because it works! You are safe surrounded by experts that will help you to achieve your goals. I was there weeks ago, and I gave a lot of thinking before enrolling, I was not sure what to expect, but I did it, and the wins from doing so are much more that a number on the scale. Is a mindset reset that will help you comprehend with facts, how to put yourself first and be in control of your health; and by doing this, you can give to your loved ones, the best version of you.

The sports dietitian. Great value and many free resources
Having tried many online and in person diet/training programmes without consistent success, I noticed thesportsdietitian on Facebook. I was pleased to find something with a one off payment as I don't want to be charged any more after the first payment. I specifically did not want to have to pay out a monthly or yearly amount as I had tried many programmes where this was the only option. The one-off payment to the sports dietician was money well spent and I was immediately asked about my needs in relation to weight loss, nutrition and mindset etc. after giving my responses, I was delighted to be sent a heap of free resources which have already been so useful to me. I would definitely recommend. I am now working through the courses and am pleased that I will not have no further charges. Very grateful for the free resources.

10kg loss, rebuilding confidence and more to come
I have read some of the reviews of TSD and thought I would give my experience. Before I go too far yes this is not a cheap option but it works for me. And to be fair Alex TSD does give regular promotions for discounts and 2 for 1 offers to help people out. There are also free resources available including a four days a week live talk on the Sustainable Change Facebook group and supporting resources. To be clear I do pay for the programme.
Back in May 2023 I was on holiday felling terrible about myself - I felt fat, unhealthy, depressed and had lost confidence. My mother died at the age I am now so I could see that being a possibility if I didn’t do something.
I reached out to Alex and agreed to pay for the initial 12 week programme and then immediately panicked about what I had done. I was worried about the cost and whether I would actually achieve anything. And like a lot of us over the years I have tried various methods and spent a lot of money trying to keep my weight under control and failed miserably so if anything the cost was an incentive to make sure I made the most of it this time. I have since moved into later stages of the programme.
I have lost 10kg despite spending most of 2024 with limited mobility on strong pain killers. When all I could do was rest and eat I did not put regain the weight when it would have been so easy to give up.
I have learnt about nutrition and exercise and have talked to and been supported by some fantastic coaches. To put it into perspective if I wanted to do everything on my programme this week I would have 10 hours of input including two exercises classes, three hours of mindset classes to build confidence and handle difficulties, at least one hour with a doctor talking through medical issues and how to prevent/handle them, a talk by a qualified physio and PT on exercise, muscles and the skeleton, as well as self defence and sleep and stress advice. Alex also does a talk four times a week (free) at 7.25am - an early morning 5 minutes which is in reality half an hour.
I also have a coach who I chat to over the week and have a phone catch up with every now and then. I have also had advice from the TSD psychologists not just on weight but on other life challenges as well. There is an enormous amount provided with this programme and you get out of it what you put in.
I don’t do everything in real time - but the talks are taped for catch up at your leisure. I have got a lot out of this programme apart from the weight loss. I have learnt to set boundaries (including with Alex) and put myself first.
Alex’s enthusiasm and passion for helping people is inspiring (and exhausting if you are just not up for it at that moment). There is a great range of expertise available - all you have to do is ask.
I am currently working with my coach on getting through this plateau and put 2024 behind me.
If this is for you then I can’t recommend this programme enough.

Passion with step-by-step guide.
Alex is highly passionate regards to his profession and his goal. He supports people who are happy to work with him. One proof of it is that he provides some of his programs for free how he has done it with me. His courses had been built up with a step-by-step guide regarding the diet and the excercises as well. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to those who haven't had, or have just a few knowledge in biochemistry, vitamins, minerals, metabolism, types of excercises.

Six weeks in and ….
I’ve only been with Alex, Jamie and the team for 6 weeks and I can’t praise them enough! They have helped and supported just like Alex explained, prior to signing up! Absolutely no false promises. In actual fact, there’s more support than aforementioned!
Every morning Alex does ‘a live’ on FB & Instagram, which sets my day up and motivates me.
If I’m feeling low in mood or motivation, Jamie sends me some homework to look at or tweaks my menu or workout and supports me 100%
I’ve lost 1 stone in weight and feel so much better with significant reduction in pain already!!
My confidence has grown too, I feel more energetic and my mindset has changed with the reading material Alex has recommended.
This holistic approach to weight loss is slower than my old and short term weight loss, or failed attempts, but the positive changes are wonderful!! My attitude, goals and values have all changed and my quality of life just keeps improving daily!

Metabolic Mastery Course
I came across one of Alex’s posts on Facebook and made contact to ask to join his group. We had a few message exchanges, he was very understanding and took time to find out about me and the challenges I was facing.
I wasn’t in a position to post for his course, however he was extremely generous and gave me free access to all the material.

Real sustainable weight loss
I’ve been with TSD for 9 months now.
In that time I have dropped 20% of my body weight and have been sat comfortably in the normal weight range for 3 months now. I realised the other day I now weigh the same as I did when I was 18 years old!
My weight always yo-yoed a bit but I could always get myself back to around the 10 stone mark with a diet and exercise regime for a little while. Well that was until the menopause hit, and then all the things that used to work, all of sudden didn’t. So I found myself starring at 2 stone overweight and only going one way and it was depressing and made me feel old.
Then due to the magic of Facebook (and some friends who I hadn’t realised had worked with TSD) Alex kept appearing on my feed. His videos peeked my interest as it didn’t sound like a fad diet or someone telling you could drop 3 dress sizes in 2 months. And after a few message exchanges with him I had a call with one of the team and decided to give it a go. One of the best decisions I have made.
The best thing about this program is, it isn’t just what to eat and how to exercise - although those bits have been hugely useful (yes I was over eating and not realising it and yes I wasn’t doing the right kind of exercise), it’s looking at the whole you.
So why do you comfort eat, helping you not to, strategies for eating out and not just sitting eating a lettuce leaf and finding the experience awful, how to cope with stress and become more resilient, and so, so much more - much of which I have only scratched the surface of.
It really is about how to give us all the toolkit to deal with what life throws at us and it not result in a downward spiral of weight gain. And it’s so sensible, my super coach David never tells me off for eating out and over indulging, but gives me strategies of how to manage it if we discuss beforehand, or what to do to get back on track afterwards - it’s about real life and enjoying life and not being an awful restrictive diet that makes you miserable.
And that all sounds wonderful, but it does require some effort in terms of workouts - I never knew at 53 that I would enjoy training with weights. And also some commitment in terms of time for learning. For me that investment in time and money has been paid back handsomely already.

I saw an article on Facebook to join a group and clicked interested and Alex started messaging me to get some information. I didn’t want a coach as I have done this so many times and knew what I needed to do but just hadn’t found the motivation. Wow Alex sent me lots of free information for the menopause course and wow I am only half way through and the knowledge / practice session in particular was a light bulb moment for me. I use the analogy of the bike with young people I work with on mental health programmes and it has given me the motivation I need to start again. Thank you so much for taking the time to message me and send me all that free information. I particularly love the Thai chicken recipe so far, can’t recommend Alex and his coaches enough. Can I just say as well I have not been paid to say any of this lol for any sceptics out there like I probably would have been😊

Building confidence is as big an achievement as losing weight!
The TSD experience is truly unique, the team really you to support you to achieve all of the things you think you need and more! It’s a challenge and a push but just what you need. I’d tried lots of diets and seen small wins and big fall backs, experienced life set backs and health issue, working with the Alex, Coach Greg and the TSD community I know this is not unique! What has been unique has been addressing the wider issues that have sat around my long term challenges with weight loss. Building confidence to say no to negativity choices and people, has led to me losing weight, increasing my knowledge of food, loving working out, and seeing the possibilities of the future.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this company and Alex in particular, he offers free talks in the week ...very motivational and with tools or strategies to apply
I could not afford the scholarship programme however after much correspondence and listening to my challenges they kindly provided access to a Metabolic Mastery Course without any cost attached ( usually at cost )
The knowledge shared is excellent and very encouraging with focus on lifestyle change and behaviour modification that is specific to your needs
I'm still making my way through the material but I am so excited and positive despite my challenges around procrastination perfectionism and poor self esteem
I'm ready to do more than I did yesterday...and excited for the journey ahead

For the first time I feel positive of achieving sustainable weight loss.
I've been with TSD for over a year now and I've made great progress towards my goals. I've lost 15kg, a total of 67 cms of my bust, waist, hips and thighs and dropped 3 dress sizes. I've learnt to deadlift and I'm at 85kg. The program is hard work, it requires your commitment but it works through a holistic approach. It's not a fad diet, it's not a gruelling exercise regime. It's good balanced daily nutrition and hydration, resistance training and some cardio combined with significant mindset coaching all delivered by professionals in their fields. I'm happy with the investment I'm making in myself with the support of TSD. You feel part of a huge family as a member of TSD. I've tried many Slimming groups in the past 40 years and failed, regaining weight and more. The ethos of this organisation, led by Alex Neilan, has been a breath of fresh air. I am in control of my destiny and I'm tackling the root cause not just treating the symptoms.

Started 2 years ago . Hardly able to walk a distance . Unable to get up from the floor , well overweight. Tried diets to no avail despite persistence .
