First experience of Skoda.
My car was delayed in being transported to the UK which had a knock on effect on my end of contract arrangement which had to be rescheduled which was inconvenient.The lady I dealt with at VW ServicesPetya was extremely professional yet friendly and approachable . Martyn Penfold at Henry’s Glasgow whose staff delivered my car was extremely helpful, and pleasant to deal with.
Had to wait
I had to wait at the dealership for over an hour for VFS to realise the money to the dealership
Also doing the online forms are a bit of a bind for the older clientele our salesman was brilliant in helping me complete the forms
Made the Switch to VW – Best Decision I’ve Made!
I recently purchased a brand new 26 plate Golf Match from Volkswagen Group 1 in March, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
From start to finish, the communication from the team was excellent. A special mention has to go to Dan Bowers, who was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, helpful, and genuinely honest throughout the entire process. He made everything feel easy and stress-free, which made a huge difference.
This was my second time buying a new car, and it was by far the best experience I’ve had. I actually made the switch to Volkswagen after being with another brand for 10 years, where unfortunately the customer service didn’t reflect my loyalty. I’m so glad I made the change because the level of care and attention I received here was outstanding.
I’m absolutely thrilled with my new car and the service I received—highly recommend to anyone considering Volkswagen!

Paying for car that is still not delivered.
Ordered car in October 2025, supposed to be delivered March 31st 2026. On day of delivery got message to say there was fault in steering column and car taken back to dealer. Still not received car as of April 21st and now on holiday until May 8th. I have still been charged for the contract which started on March 31st BUT don't have the car and won't get it until after March 11th. This means I am effectively >£820 out of pocket. Dealer is refusing to compensate me and has told me to contact Audi FS. Customer service is poor.

Very good customer service. Relaxed atmosphere and we were not pressurised or hurried to make a decision. Talked through finances by Dean Nichols.

Skoda Exeter were good, but not excellent. They failed to keep me updated with the build and delivery schedules but in the end the car arrived one week later than expected.

Lethargic Approach to Customers…
Took two months to issue a receipt for a car purchase deposit. Had to pay £250 bond in lieu of Form V5 on handover day but sent V5 in post the following day first class. Had to ring up three times and speak to three seperate sales agents to recover bond and after 2 weeks told the transfer would take three to five days. How is ot i could transfer money to VW within minute but I had to harras VW to recover my money. Financial forms for repayment were not declared until a day before delayed handover. All you get from sales staff is thar financial services is nothing to do with us.Need some joined up approach to sales and more customer focus rather chasing sales targets.
Unstable software and a poor process
I was asked to sign docs online via a email invite which I did saving the signed documents. The process involved taking a ‘selfie’ video for identity verification after taking a photo of my passport. The software was very flaky and kept crashing with the same error but eventually it worked. The other issue was that the video had to be taken with my glasses removed making it virtually impossible for me to read the verification instructions through the process- I had to guess what I was being asked, Things then went quiet for a couple of days until i started to receive the same invitation to sign the docs online. I ignored them as I had already signed. The day before I was due to pickup the car I was told by the sales rep that one figure in the original docs was out by 2 pence so I had to resign. I tried to do so but the identification process just wouldn’t complete each time crashing with the same error during video recording. I had no choice but to sign the docs when I picked up the car the next day at the dealership. This meant a delay in the money being released to the dealership and I had to wait around for 3 hours before being allowed to drive off with the new car. This was extremely frustrating as I had signed to original docs days previously and the resigning was necessary because of a 2 pence mistake in the original version. To compound the issue when I had returned home I kept receiving reminders for days afterwards to sign the documents online. The was the first transaction that I had with Audi and I was not impressed after 25 years of buying new cars from Jaguar with not a hint of a problem.

We love VW cars our ID3 is the 6th VW car we have bought. They are reliable comfortable and fun to drive. Also they feel such a solid safe car to be in. Not much has ever really gone wrong with them
