I looked at this company reviews before I started working with them I can't believe they have good reviews.
My experience was a very bad one. I would never recommend anyone working with them.
Not because they pay is low but for lack of transparency, lack of communication and lack of consistency.
Also, if by any chance you can't accept a job they won't give you a second chance. You will be ignored and probably have to beg for a job in the future.
I guess what I am trying to say is, stay away from them!

Did a job for Crown courier from S74 to ME20 through their App at the agreed rate of £265, on 02.01.2025 with collection at 01:00 AM. After waiting in the cold for 2 hours and 40 min on site, job has been cancelled. straight after I’ve contacted crown multiple times to discuss Cancellation charge and waiting times. first 2 calls i’ve been told i will be contacted by Joe to discuss the charges. Nobody called me back and I’ve noticed the price has been changed in the app to the ridiculous price of £40 without a phone call to discuss any charges after spending more than 4 hours with this job (40 min going to collection/40 min coming back home) + 2 hours and 40 min waiting time with £15 worth of fuel + other expenses so basically i’ve worked for free for Crown last night. After third call, one lady answered saying this is a set price for drivers when job’s been cancelled and she can’t do nothing about it.Nobody ever made me aware of this “set price”. what would you guys do in this situation? Now obviously i won’t do anymore of their jobs as they become so unprofessional.
This is also a message to every driver. Stop doing their jobs if they humiliate you. They don’t deserve drivers. Shame on Crown Courier.

Been driving for Crown for a few years now, they have been a great company to work with. The app is really easy to use and payments are always on time. Also easy to pick up a lot of regular work.

Rude and unhelpful. Pay is extremely low especially for todays oil prices. Difficult to get ahold of regarding pay but easy to get ahold of when they need work for low rates

Numerous emails to crown couriers last month asking for a reference w hich I require to start a new job ASAP.l left 2 emails 2day and again requesting a call back on 07900544690 keira sent these 2day at 11.30 and 12.30.a gain no reply.if Derek munford

Phone the base for work keeps ringing no one answers when they do answer poorest customers service ever I can’t get my head around this company is still running you get spoken to like s*** from them

Our Evri/Hermes collections are managed by Crown SDS, the problem is they only use their own drivers 50% of the time.
The rest of the time their collections are put out to third parties couriers - many of which take zero care of your orders.
The third parties use an app called "Courier Exchange" / CX, and accept the collections on an Ad Hoc basis, meaning collections often do not happen, or they turn up extremally late.... Try explaining to customers why their orders aren't arriving on time due to Evri, Crown SDS, CX and some random third party courier...
Recently a third party courier who accepted our collection on the CX App took a pee in the middle of our car park and then stolen 5 pallets from my business... After supplying the CCTV to Evri and Crown I have yet to receive an apology.

Absolutely rubbish customer service from the day team especially at the Birmingham branch they make you wait for half an hour just for an answer very unprofessional and unreliable promise you work yet they don’t give you anything stay away trust me.

Update 23/05/22 - Well I sent an email on 5th May as they requested and nearly 3 weeks later I've received no reply whatsoever. And guess what, I have a collection booked from 4pm to 5pm today (23rd May) and they haven't arrived as of 5.47pm. They haven't replied to Evri so neither of us have a clue what's going on. Another load of my customers being let down by this shambolic company.

You would think with 30+ years of experience Crown would know how to run a courier company....clearly not.
Evri use Crown SDS to collect my parcels. No one turned up at the allocated slot on Tuesday 3rd so a sweep was arranged between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday 4th but no one turned up. No one turned up again at the normal delivery time slot.

Evri couldn't get any answers which is shocking in itself so I eventually spent over 1hr on the phone myself trying to speak to someone at Crown. Eventually got in touch with someone over an hour ago now and was told they would send a van. Guess what, nobody turned up.

I am trying to run a small business and now 2 days worth of orders are going to be delivered late affecting my delivery performance.

I really thing Evri should be moving away from this shambolic company as its helping Evri get a bad name.

I am trying to call Crown back but no one is answering. So much for being avaliable 24/7.

It's clear the hold message given is talking about another company as it clearly doesn't relate to Crown. 1 star service.

Brilliant service from the customer service team. They were helpful with my queries and very polite, a very professional team

Heathrow department never answer their phone? I called at lease 50-100 times in 10 days. Company lost my suitcase and when I got it after 10 days some of my stuff were missing. Do they scan our bags in their warehouse? if you call 0300 303 5260 no one will answer, but recorded message will say next day deliver and excellent service?????????????? I had no choice as British Airways made it all happen in the first place.
