Very disappointed based on previous experiences, turned up in an unbranded box had been bashed about and the Donuts inside stale and dry, complained and got a second box exactly the same. What a shame... Vis mer

Crosstown is an award-winning scratch bakery. We roll our dough by hand.
We make all of our jams, compotes, fillings, glazes and toppings in-house, fresh every day, using the finest ingredients we can find to deliver real, honest flavour.
It’s a lot of extra work, but we believe the results speak for themselves.
Quality should never be compromised no matter the quantity, although both can exist at the same time.
We think our doughnuts pair perfectly to specialty coffee, which is why we serve them together where we can.

Disappointing and tasteless gimmick.
We were very disappointed by the selection box of donuts. They were more like bagels with some icing on top.. The chocolate tasted too sickly.. All varieties had the same muted taste. Not at all what you would expect. I was expecting dunkin donut taste and quality. But what you get is a 'healthy' strange bread with poppy seeds in it.. No fried greese it's all very disappointing.. And not at all worth the over inflated price. Never would I ever get these again.

As I'm sure you know, every single doughnut we sell is made fresh on the morning of sale, and are delivered directly from our bakery in Battersea, London. We never keep doughnuts longer than the day they are produced, even if the special day has passed. Our doughnuts tend to have a slightly different texture from most other doughnuts, due to the signature Sourdough base for which we are famous. This tends to offer a weightier, more bread like finish. The seeds inside the dough are chia seeds, not poppy. I will make sure to pass off your feedback to our hardworking Head Chef and bakery team.
I understand that this may not been what you were after, and thats okay. We try to offer a different take on the doughnut with our Sourdough base, and provide exceptional flavours while doing so. Happy Birthday doughnuts
The doughnuts, a birthday gift for our daughter who is currently recovering from a broken foot, were delivered in good time and good order. She was hugely cheered by the gift and says the doughnuts were delicious. Thnk you very much.

Sadly what I ordered on the site wasn’t…
Sadly what I ordered on the site wasn’t what I got. Which is embarrassing when saying happy birthday to someone when the doughnuts say congratulations on your new baby. Luckily my friend was fine about it but it could’ve been worse!
The actual doughnuts flavours were great.

There clearly aren't any Germans or Americans rating this doughnut. They are basically bread with sweet toppings. They're not light, they're not fluffy, they're not that tasty. Just stodgy. People are too quick to big up something new or different.

Very poor Vegan Peanut butter and…
Very poor Vegan Peanut butter and Blackberry compote donought for £5...…
This was not very nice and definitely not worth £5 price tag. Firstly it was dry, dense and chewy with no discernable flavour. Some peanuts, may be a dessert spoonful of peanut was sprinkled on the Donought. The Blackberry compote was very dry and tart (very lemony).
It was definitely not a nice experience and will not be repeated. Tasted worse than a supermarket

As I am sure you are aware, Crosstown is set apart from other high street or supermarket doughnut brands by the premium quality ingredients that we use, as well as the hand-crafted nature of our treats. Every doughnut, glaze and compote are freshly made each day, by a member of our fabulous scratch bakery team, at our site in Battersea. As you know, they tend to have a slightly different texture from other doughnuts, due to the signature Sourdough base for which we are famous. This tends to offer a weightier, more bread like finish, which could have been the reason they weren't quite what you were expecting. I'm sure it will be incredibly disappointing for our team of lovely bakers to hear that the product crafted by themselves, for you, was not enjoyed, but will forward this feedback onto the bakery team for their review.

Good delivery but I want more of a say regarding flavours.
The Doughnuts are delicious indeed. However, I do wish we had more autonomy in choosing flavors. Not that the flavors given were bad, on the contrary. When you go in, that is the only time you can choose really. It's more expensive to get delivered too, and the packaging isn't amazing. Other doughnut deliveries provide more choices & control with flavors or at the very least you know exactly what you're ordering and not hoping they pick ones you like. If they did provide this, this would honestly be a vastly better experience and you can be sure we'd speak with our wallets and dare I say pay more for that extra little bit of control. I get that the casual buyer may like the one-off surprise of random flavors but for me personally, "likely to include" is just simply not good enough. Don't get me wrong I love the doughnuts, especially the cake ones which are often hard to find, just wish it was like choosing in-store, only in postal form.

Favourite flavours no longer available
The first time I had crosstown doughnuts, they had 2 amazing flavours. Matcha and almond butter. I bought often. Now they have none of these. Quite disappointing.

Thank you for reaching out to us! I am so happy to hear that you were a fan of our previous flavours, but I understand the upsetting factor of expecting these flavours and they not being available. Our brilliant head chef at Crosstown is always mixing up new flavours in the bakery, and we are constantly switching out flavours. That being said, it does not mean that old flavours will not return in the future again, we are just stepping aside to shine the spotlight on something new.
