CourseCareers is an online modern learning platform where students go through an affordable online course to start their new careers. Students start by going through a free introduction course to learn about which career to pursue, then enroll in their desired, paid course. Students complete the course in a few weeks to a few months, depending on how much time they commit. They learn everything required to land their first position. CourseCareers also teaches them exactly how to land an entry-level position or internship by giving them insider knowledge of how to apply to companies, what to look for in resumes/applications, how to prepare for interviews, and so much more. CourseCareers even partners directly with companies that want to hire their graduates into entry-level positions and internships, dropping their degree/experience requirements for CourseCareers graduates.

Would never recommend-I purchased this course because the testimonials and introduction video seemed to be nice.
Update: After reading CourseCareers’ response, I have decided to lower my rating to 1 star. Their reply completely missed the point of my review. I never said AI shouldn’t be used. I work in IT support already, so I understand very well that AI is an important tool in this profession. My criticism was that the instructor relied on AI instead of teaching. A significant portion of the course consisted of telling students to “ask ChatGPT” or “use AI” rather than explaining concepts in depth. I paid for instruction from an experienced trainer, not to be repeatedly directed to tools I already use every day.
Their response also mentions their 14-day refund policy. I didn’t request a refund because I genuinely believed the course would improve as it progressed. Like many working professionals, I could not realistically complete and evaluate the entire course within 14 days while working full-time.
What disappointed me most was that they did not acknowledge or address any of the concerns I raised about the production quality, the lack of editing, the repeated mistakes in the videos, or the reliance on additional paid services. Instead, they responded by saying that thousands of students have found jobs through the course. That statistic does not address my experience. I already work in IT support and enrolled because I wanted structured, academic-style instruction to deepen my knowledge. I wasn’t looking for job placement assistance. My concern is for students who have no prior IT background and may expect comprehensive teaching but instead receive a course that frequently tells them to ask AI for the answers. In my opinion, the course did not deliver the level of instruction that its marketing led me to expect.
Original review: I purchased this course because the testimonials and introduction videos gave me the impression that I would receive high-quality, well-structured training that would help me build real IT knowledge. Unfortunately, my experience was very different.
The topics covered are relevant, and I have no issue with the curriculum itself. My disappointment is with how the material was delivered.
Most of the training videos felt like unedited screen recordings. The instructor frequently made mistakes, corrected them while recording, and continued without re-recording or editing the lesson. It gave the impression that very little effort went into producing a professional course, especially considering the price.
Another major issue was how often the instructor relied on AI. A large portion of the course consisted of instructions like "search this in ChatGPT," "ask AI," or "memorize this for the exam." I estimate that this happened throughout much of the training. I enrolled because I wanted to learn from an instructor with experience, not because I needed someone to tell me to ask ChatGPT. I already know how to use AI, and if that was going to be the primary teaching method, I could have learned much of the same material on my own.
When covering resume creation, students were directed to another subscription-based platform where many of the useful templates and suggestions required another payment. After already paying for the course, I found this frustrating, and also most of the linkedIn training was based on guessing who to email or sending emails to the hiring managers which I find useless.
Finally, after completing the course, the trainer encouraged students to submit testimonial videos for a chance to win $200. Seeing that immediately after finishing made me question how many of the positive testimonials I had relied on when making my purchase were influenced by that incentive. While I cannot know why individual people left positive reviews, it did leave me feeling misled.
I completed the course and passed the exam, but by the end I had largely lost my enthusiasm because the overall production quality and teaching approach did not meet my expectations. Personally, I would not purchase this course if I were to go back or recommend it at its current price.
The second star is only because I liked the titles, and now I get to go search for those titles on free YouTube videos.

Information Technology course
I went into this to test and see if spending the $450 (every yt video has $50 link) was worth it for someone with some IT experience (learning on my own). It was not imo, I do see it would be good for anyone brand new to tech and not sure what direction to go. IF you want to do this go right ahead, they do have one on one coaching you can pay for, there is some help with a potential unpaid internship and you do learn to create your own VM and some hands on labs, also the people in the discord are super helpful and kind, but for anyone that is going to want to try a different perspective, I would suggest getting coursera plus and a year of labex, for the coaching, just use chatgpt. Coursera plus is also cause i like to learn a bunch of things, labex is to learn linux and get hands on experience as they have a vm built in to use it, you can add them to your portfolio or to just get comfortable with linux altogether.
I am not giving this a bad score because its not that the course was bad, its that it wasnt for me
Course Careers has been eye-opening and…
Course Careers has been eye-opening and refreshing for me. I completed the Medical Device Sales Representative course. My favourite takeaway was the theory since I have a lot of on-the-job practical skills in healthcare and sales, and this just explains and helps me grasp what the market requires. All modules were clear and easy to follow, although there was a lot to unpack. My main problem is that I live in the Caribbean, and I'm not sure how practical it is for me to find work as a medical device sales representative.
Dated Course & Poor Customer Service
I enrolled in CourseCareers expecting up-to-date, practical training for breaking into tech sales. Unfortunately, the course felt dated and generic, especially given how quickly the tech sales market has changed over the past 1–2 years.
A lot of the material covered high-level concepts that are widely available for free online, and the examples and tactics didn’t reflect what I’m seeing in today’s hiring environment for SDR/BDR roles.
What was most disappointing was the refund experience. I requested a refund within the first month and had completed only a small portion of the course. Despite this, my refund request was denied with no flexibility or partial refund offered.
For a program marketed to career switchers and beginners, I expected more customer empathy and more current, market-relevant content. Based on my experience, I would recommend doing extensive research and exploring alternative (or free) resources before committing.

The Accounting program was easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! Any technical issues I had were resolved and responded to within 24 hours. I may even try other courses in the future.
CourseCareers for the Win
CourseCareers has been a great opportunity for me. I have struggled with finding the perfect fit for me when it comes to jobs. CourseCareers showed me their IT (Information Technology) couree and I fell right into it. I have spent the past few months studying to get to where I am now. I highly recommend them if you are like me and don't want to spend thousands on college and just want to get the degree for the field. Only downside is the videos csn tend to be a tad quiet, but isn't a deal breaker at all.
Best Value for $500!
This was an amazing course! I took the IT Course and it provides so much value for only $500! It informs you about what to expect from an entry-level IT job, provides labs to develop your skills, and offers detailed guidance on how to land interviews, along with support for your resume and cover letter. In the current job market, it is essential to find ways to land interviews and eventually secure a job offer. This course is a perfect way to do so.
Riddled with typos
I took the Accounting course. For me, it was just alright.
The information in the course was insightful, but the course itself was quite dull and riddled with typos. The course instructor was often stumbling over his words (especially when it came to numbers). If I'm paying $499 for a course, I expect it to be edited and I expect to feel like the instructor knows what they're talking about.
The Prep Exam and the Final Exam both contained way too many typos for a professional course. Some people might not care, but it was very distracting to me and I couldn't help but think, "I'm supposed to be learning from somebody who doesn't even care about their own course enough to spell check?" The course makes you download Grammarly before being able to take the Practice Exam, maybe they should use that.
Also on the Practice Exam, Final Exam, and quizzes throughout the course were questions that suggested referencing the chapters where I learned the information in order to get the answer. You're not allowed to leave the page when taking the exams or quizzes (it's a closed-note test), so that was impossible to do without going back and checking what the actual answer is AFTER getting it wrong. That was very frustrating to have on a closed-note test. I was forced to memorize what Apple's gross income was in 2022 (or whatever the question was) and the only reason I knew the answer was I went back and memorized it after getting it wrong on the Practice Exam.
NOT IMPRESSED with the overall grammar and set up of the course. The rest was fine.
Also, before you reply to this review telling me to contact support at coursecareers.com (had to type "at" because you don't allow email addresses in reviews) to let you guys know where all the typos are, maybe you should look through the course yourself or hire me as an editor. Then (and only then) I would feel inclined to point out your mistakes.

I had a great experience with CourseCareers. Their courses are well-structured and easy to follow, providing practical skills that are directly applicable to real-world IT and professional environments. The platform is user-friendly, and the instructors are knowledgeable and supportive.
I particularly appreciated the hands-on approach and clear guidance, which helped me build confidence in IT fundamentals and prepared me for freelance and entry-level roles. I would recommend CourseCareers to anyone looking to gain practical skills and advance their career.
Can't Recommend it Enough
Course Careers made it real effective and simple to get my Tech Sales certification. I started doing one-two videos and lessons a day and was able to get my certification within 4 weeks
Accounting
Save your money! I haven’t been able to find a job after completing the accounting certification with a business degree to supplement. I took their stupid workshops and I absolutely regret spending this money and wasting so much time on their resume and recruitment services that are bogus. It’s been 7 months and NOTHING!!!

Learning Something Everyday
I think this was a great course to learn about your career. I took the tech sale course I thought it was really good the only thing I didn’t like was the book part. I don’t believe books should be apart of the course the information was so great that the books felt forced into the material. Other than that I would for sure recommend this to everybody who are trying to at least get first hand knowledge of the job and your daily duties.

If you’re thinking about pivoting into tech, this course is a solid move. Trent, the instructor, explains everything so clearly, even the tough concepts feel manageable. I highly recommend it.
CourseCareers Bookkeeping Certificate
I thoroughly enjoyed the accounting and bookkeeping certificate program. I learned a lot from the material presented. The videos could have included more practice questions. However, it was still an informative course overall.

Super excited that I finished the course. This is an amazing experience. Boat loads of knowledge, and Trent was on the money. Very glad I’ve chosen to sign up with Course Careers.
I landed a job in tech sales with no tech experience or tech degree!
The fact that this tech certificate program is online is one of the best parts. You can learn on the go and with other responsibilities. The tools that you learn are 100% prepping you for the work you will do on the job, from tech terminology to crm and sales engagement knowledge. The books like my fav. How to win friends and influence people and Fanatical Prospecting get you into the weeds of processes and mindset for the tech role.
