A really great live session. Paul was such a great facilitator. He was warm, clear in his delivery, and generous with his knowledge and experience. He held the room well and made sure everyone who wanted to speak was heard. The session was delivered at a manageable pace. The breakout rooms were well balanced, small and with different participants each time which meant variety and a good mixture of experience. Nothing felt rushed! Also, a lovely group of participants eager to learn and share their experience.

The tutors were very supportive and knowledgable. Nothing was tii much and no question was a silly one-which is how we all learn.
Would I recommend? Yes. It was recommended to me and I have no regrets. Others on the course were lovely and it was a safe space to be me, to practice without judgement and learn from others.

I have never had so much briefing on exactly what you need from us regarding the assignments. This is honestly very supportive and helpful.

Loved the breakout sessions, would have been nice to have worked with more people across the weeks, I think I only worked with about half the attendees.

My experience with The Counselling Tutor Supervision Course has been genuinely wonderful. It has been such a valuable and enriching journey, both professionally and personally. The course has given me a deeper understanding of supervision and helped me feel much more confident in developing my skills and stepping into the role of a supervisor.

Nora and Maria have been amazing tutors throughout the course. They created such a warm, supportive and encouraging learning environment, making it easy to ask questions, share experiences and reflect openly. I really appreciated how knowledgeable, approachable and generous they were with their time and support.

I’m especially grateful for the encouragement and guidance I received throughout the course. I feel that I have grown not only as a supervisor but also as a practitioner, and I’m leaving the course with a lot more confidence, inspiration and enthusiasm for continuing this journey.

A safe and supportive learning space that has provided a secure and solid foundation to build upon as I begin my trauma informed practice journey. The tutors have a wealth of experience, knowledge and wisdom. Breakout room activities provide opportunities to discuss and explore learning and practice with peers. Great tech and customer support too. I would thoroughly recommend the course, it went above and beyond my expectations.

Over a 6 hour training day, only 3 hours were spent teaching, A lot of time was spent in Zoom breakout rooms talking to strangers.

Nice as that was, it wasn't what I paid for and it didn't really teach me anything..

I left feeling that I had not got the knowledge I was expecting.

Excellent Trauma Informed course, great detail of information and a very knowledgeable and warm facilitator. Would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to be informed about trauma.

I recently bought an expensive CPD course and was disappointed by the quality. The content was so basic that it felt more like a beginner’s taster session than appropriate CPD training.

The online materials varied in quality, with some sections feeling poorly edited or AI-generated, and the Zoom session was largely just a repeat of the same content. Rewatching a 10-minute video we’d already been asked to complete beforehand was not a good use of paid training time.

This has significantly reduced my confidence in Counselling Tutor's CPD offering. If you already have some awareness of the topic, my experience is that you’ll learn very little while paying a hefty fee for a watered-down introduction.

It's been a transformational journey! I greatly appreciate how innovative, professional, neuroinclusive, and diversity-inclusive the tutors and course material are. I was well supported the whole way.

Really empathic learning style, interactions with other students helpful and enjoyable.
Tutors Paul / Nic were really excellent and it felt like very gentle learning which I found was much more informative as we explored the different ways to Supervise. Thank you will definitely recommend to my colleagues.

I completed the advanced certificate in clinical supervision including online and telephone working. Overall, I would say the course was adequate and I do feel ready to be a supervisor, but I would say a lot of this is down to my experience as a counsellor. A lot of the 180 hours are made-up of recorded video sessions that you must watch before each taught day. I would say they were fairly basic and never really reached the depth I was hoping for them to reach. The taught days themselves were incredibly formulaic and didn't really leave all that much time for deep discussion and challenging conversations. In fact it always seemed that any attempt to take things deeper was veered away from for some reason, I suppose the tutors were running a very tight ship in terms of managing the times of the day, which is understandable, I guess.
My main gripe came right at the very end when we were asked by the admin team to leave a five-star review and if we felt we were unable to do this then we needed to e-mail the admin team. This felt incredibly unethical and dishonest and I sincerely doubt that the counselling tutors high star rating is really an accurate account of their services. I was also quite surprised that the majority of elements around proving our supervision hours were self-certified. Proof of practice hours and our own supervision as well as our qualifications were not needed to be proven to the company. Any unscrupulous therapists, or even charlatan therapists, could easily hold this certification without having done the required practice hours. Whilst I in some ways respect the decision to put trust in people, I find this concerning. The other incredibly bizarre element was that there were people in the training group that I had never spoken to or worked with, even right at the very end of the course. We had an incredibly cringy ending day where we were put into small breakout groups in order to have forced endings with people that we'd never spoken to before. This really felt like it missed the mark to me and mentioning it was pretty much ignored by the tutors. My experience with the counselling tutor very much felt like I was on a conveyor belt, and I can see why it was one of the cheaper courses available. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Just completed the supervisor training with counsellor tutor this was a very well paced excellent training. The facilitators Maria and Nora were well informed and patient with the group. I really enjoyed this training.

Well paced, informative with good feedback sessions. Opportunities to meet with other counsellors and practice. I will miss these Tuesdays!
