Although the product mistakenly wasn't exactly what I have ordered initially, the customer service acknowledged that and they have promptly offered and upgraded replacement for my product.

After receiving delivery of much delayed (19 weeks) sofa bed, it was completely the wrong colour to the one that was ordered and apparently could not be rectified for another 8 -12 weeks; having ordered it five months before Christmas - we asked for a refund. This proved long-winded due to support not being in UK. Prospective buyers beware!

My sofa finally arrived, and it is absolutely perfect. The colour is vibrant, and the material is quality. I read in a previous review that this sofa came in 2 halves which is why I chose it, so I could get it down my tight stairwell into my basement flat.

I visited the Manchester warehouse prior to purchasing to double check the sofa did come in two pieces. Though I had booked an appointment, they were not expecting me, and an appointment was not necessary anyway. The warehouse was difficult to find and not well signposted. Neighbouring warehouses assisted me in finding the correct place. The sofa I saw was identical to the one I bought, just in the mustard colour, which was also very nice. I could have bought this sofa and received it that week, but I chose to order in the red colour and wait the advertised 8 weeks. There turned out to be shipping issues and the sofa arrived 15 weeks later.

You can only contact Cottonfy by email and I believe they are based in Hong Kong, so they reply within 24hours. The customer service people are very helpful and always responded to me, so I was happy enough to wait the extra time for my sofa.

It’s exactly what I wanted, and I am very happy with it. I purchased the Retro Elegance Luxe Fabric Sofa with Mid-Century Charm.

Took quite a long time to arrive (approximately 15 weeks) however it’s very lovely and was easy to assemble. Staff were friendly and helpful and kept us well informed throughout the process.

Today our Multi-functional Foldable Telescopic Cotton Simple Sofa Bed (180cm x 200cm) arrived and I am beyonf relieved. I hope that this detailed review helps others who are waiting for their delivery or thinking of buying.

ORDER: I knew it was a risk to order from Cottonfy as the company seems new with few reviews. However, I could not find a soafe bed elsewhere that matches my requirements so gave it a go. Order confirmation said 6-8 weeks, in he end it took 11.5 weeks for the bed to arrive.

COMPANY COMMUNICATION: The company can only be contacted by email and replies to email come quick. Information in them is not always accurate, I was for example promised delivery in week 10 that never materialised. The company did not contact me at any point to advise me of shipping delay or that promised delivery would be delayed. Terms state that cancelled orders would only get 60% refund and despite delay company did not agree to refund so all I could do was wait.

PRODUCT: While I was waiting bad reviews started coming in on the quality of the product so I was very worried about mine. The Multi-functional Foldable Telescopic Cotton Simple Sofa Bed arrived with metal base fully assembled and is of good quality alround. It is comfortable to sit and sleep on, mechanism works fine. Mattress is hard (which I prefer but might not suit everyone). Cushions are great to with the exception of side cushions who are in proportion too small and should be double the size to match. As other review has said the sofa does not have a British (or any) fire label so likely not tested in Britain and therefore cannot be used in rental properties or sold/given away. As we ordered for personal use it is Ok, but at the price point and being sold in Britain with advertised Englsih showroom I would have expected that British standards are met.

DELIVERY: Delivery was a day before the day that Cottonfy told me but I could have changed this when I got the delivery notification and on day delivery was 2 hours before the slot I was given. Delivery crew was great, very friendly and carried it into living room.

Overall now that the sofa bed is in situ I am happy about it as it suits our needs. As a company Cottonfy can do better in meeting British standards and communication.

Customer service team was super responsive. Couch arrived as advertised (in 3 days) with no faults. Couch itself is very nice and I look forward to using it.

So many issues and reasons to never purchase furniture from this company. The biggest issue is that the Sofa Bed I purchased did not come with any Fire Safety labels - and therefore I can only assume it has not been fire tested in accordance with British Standard practice. Such furniture should never be imported and sold in the UK. This is a Trading Standards issue.
This means that you couldn't even give it to a charity shop upon disposal, not to mention any potential actual fire safety hazard - which is at best unknown. I can only assume that will be the same for their other furniture?
There are many other reasons too:
1. Very inferior quality to point of not being fit-for-purpose. Very sharp burred edges on all tubular steel sections. Very uncomfortable to sit on. Doesn't look like image advertised. Only one storage draw - but advertised as 2 draw. Sofa bed mechanism was very loose and moved around in the intermediate chaise position.
2. Came with bent metal bracket and some missing fasteners. But having no instructions supplied, it was hard to even establish this. Customer care (email only) asked us to make the repairs and source the fasteners! Clearly, as this is a Chinese company importing into UK, it appears that they do not have the ability in UK to rectify such concerns.
3. Required assembly on site. This wasn't clearly mentioned on their website.
4. A "White Glove delivery service" was promised but not given. According to their website, this included for "light assembly" and disposal of packaging. Not only did neither occur, but actual delivery took 3 attempts, and even returning it took 2 attempts. (Via DX Courier) I had to complain also to the delivery company in both instances. Useless service.
5. Promised 6-8 week delivery. Actually took 9 weeks.
6. No phone number given. Only email support - In fairness, they did reply within the day - accepting the time difference to China

The only positive was that they quickly agreed to take it back with a full refund.

I don't often go to this bother of reviewing but I felt compelled to here due to the fire safety concern.

There are many better alternatives for same or less money for sale in UK, e.g. Dreams or even Ikea!

Get my sofa bed today , waiting 2 months sofa arrive complete different then on photos chip material just horrible looking i pay £1300 for ridiculous… requesting my money back!!! No phone numbers on website only email! SCAMMERS..!!!!

I drove 1 hour and half to Manchester to their “ showroom “, it’s not showroom it’s a warehouse. Sofas are nothing like on the pictures, they look really bad and quality can’t be any worse I don’t know how they can sell it for over a £1000, it’s not worth £100. Can’t imagine to sleep on their sofa bed, no way. Yesterday on their website I saw 2 bad reviews on the one of the sofa beds, today they’re gone, they only leave good reviews. SCAMMERS

The sofa I bought came the day it was supposed to and it went together very easily. Ordering was easy as well.
I ordered a custom made sofa through a much larger company and not only did they deliver it damaged twice but they took about 6 months doing a terrible job. I decided to go elsewhere and am glad I found Cottonfy.

I ordered a sofa bed which is super comfy.
I was worried about the assembling it, but its very simple and quick at the same time. We had family guest spend night for a week. They were also talking about how comfy it was.
Very happy with the purchase.
