Do not go during school holidays.
Writing this in the car while taking 1.5 hrs to get from Burford to the park, which is 2 miles. You have to pre book now, and the tickets can’t be changed to another day. So we paid £60 to sit in traffic. The park needs to sort this out asap. I can’t believe the highways agency allows this to happen, and the parks system of scanning your QR code at the ticket booths you pass to park is the cause of this 2 mile traffic jam. At least we are local, but if you’d travelled a lot g way to then sit in traffic, it would be much worse.
What an amazing place
What an amazing place. Great price as well for families. Really enjoyed our day out when we were away.
I’ve been going to Cotswold Wildlife…
I’ve been going to Cotswold Wildlife Park on and off for years since I was a child & still one of the best zoo’s in the UK. I can’t blame them for increasing prices due to this corrupt Labour government greed on taxes, but still a lot higher than it should be for what you get. Overall the animal experience is quite good. The con & rip-off is the Restaurant. UK food in places like this is renowned for being poor quality, but the food served in CWP is beyond a joke & worse than jokes made about hospital food - & you get the food cold & at a premium. If you have a family of 4 or more, expect to pay more than a decent restaurant in London & more than your entrance fee, for something resembling Jacket potatoes, Aldi style chips, economy sausages, & cheap style sausage rolls. Other foods were also low quality. I would say it would be cheaper to do a premium shop at Waitrose before visiting the zoo as you’ll get good food for a similar £80 - £140 plus spend. Staff seemed friendly, although rushed to move you along.
Lovely day at the park
We had a lovely time at the wildlife park today. Its a good walk around and the animals look very well cared for. Its great thats the park is dog friendly and my dog Duggie loved it too. The downside is there is no where to eat that is dog friendly. You can get food from the kiosks but unfortunately like we had to today had to sit out in the rain and eat our lunch that we bought from the restaurants kiosk. . I understand that not everyone likes dogs but for a dog friendly place you would think there would of been at least a designated area where you could sit in the dry and comfort to eat a meal and have a drink with your dog that you have bought from the park.
They allow dogs
They allow dogs, which for me is enough reason to give 5 stars! It’s not the biggest place, but there is lots of variety and well laid out etc.
No water stations, beware.
We visited today, 15th August with our 4 grandchildren. It was an extremely hot, sunny day. By early afternoon our water bottles were empty. Anywhere else I have ever visited with our family, always has water stations. Not this place. There were loads of families looking for water but unless you were prepared to pay £1.80 for a small bottle, there was none. I would avoid until they have addressed this issue. Check before you book.
Animals that were not on view
This is a great wildlife park however today and last time i visited in May i was disappointed that i was unable to see either red pandas or the pallas cat despite returning to the enclosure several times. I enquired about feeding times but was told there was no specific time to see them.

Such a wonderful day but
Such a wonderful day, really could have been improved by some signs saying which way we find different animals. Spent way too much time trying to follow the not very detailed map. Also some water fountains to fill bottles would have been amazing on such a hot day. Otherwise a beautiful park and a wonderful experience
What a perfect sunny afternoon spent…
What a perfect sunny afternoon spent with grandson and my dog! (Employees kindly offered to hold her while we both explored inside the housed animals buildings and in the enclosures). The play area is exciting for big kids and little ones, courses and activity programmes are on offer. A little train takes families and toddlers around. Lots of picnic places to eat, but there’s a tempting variety of food and snacks available . All animals looked happy, clean, well fed and lively. As I left, I thought I’ll definitely come back here very soon, maybe even volunteer!
Terrible experience
Terrible experience, I logged a complaint on 19th January due to a rude female employee in the Madagascar area. Jamie Craig who is the general manager, believed the employee stating she refused any rudeness. Despite looking at cctv he would have seen a number of people look around and walk off after her response. I wouldn't suggest going here, looks like complaints are dealt with properly and they all try to hide behind eachother.
Birdland Park and Gardens in…
Birdland Park and Gardens in Bourton-on-the-Water is a delightful destination for nature lovers and families alike. Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, the park offers an immersive experience that brings visitors up close to a wide variety of bird species from around the world, all set within beautiful, well-maintained gardens.

The well-designed enclosures are spacious and provide ample opportunity for visitors to observe the birds up close while ensuring the animals’ comfort. There’s also a Woodland Walk and Riverside Path, offering a chance to see more native species and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding nature.
For those visiting with children, Birdland offers plenty of interactive activities, from feeding sessions to informative talks by the knowledgeable staff. The Discovery Zone is particularly engaging, with opportunities to learn about different bird species, their habitats, and conservation efforts.

A Beautiful Park which we Visited…
A Beautiful Park which we Visited Yesterday, had Two Concerns which were we Saw a Lad Throwing Stones at Animals in an Enclosure, we did not like that at all being Wildlife Lovers, Next was the fact on an indoor area there was a number of children with no Manners with their father pushing and shoving our Family, rude with no Manners at all, I was going to give them a Dressing Down, getting back to the park there is nothing to comment on except Beautiful. Recommended.
Does not give a discount for disabled and carers
Does not give a discount for disabled or carers when going to the park I don't think this is fair on children or adults
A great day out with the grandkids
A great day out with the grandkids. The gardens are spectacular with late summer flowers and although it was busy there was plenty of room for all. The cafe is clean and welcoming and the food is all home cooked with plenty of variety.
Plenty of room for picnickers too.
Appalling booking engine, easy to book the wrong date
A truly wonderful place, visited many times. Alas my lack of the additional two stars is connected with their booking engine. I tried to book for today, clicked the date (which admittedly looked different to the others) and went ahead and booked tickets for my and my two grandsons and paid. Only when I printed the tickets did I realise that the booking defaulted to tomorrow as you can't book online 'on the day'. I've paid fair and square but their policy is no amends and no exchanges. So I'm considerably out of pocket on the deal and no-where was I warned that I was booking for a different day to the one I clicked. Yes, after the event I did see that you can't book online for today, but it didn't occur to me that the date would change to tomorrow automatically despite me clicking today's date. Given their no refunds or exchanges policy, I'll be thinking hard about whether I'm going to visit with my grandchildren again.
Lovely day out with my grandchildren
Lovely day out with my grandchildren, they especially loved the giraffes & the park, although Im not sure the latter was designed for my elderly knees!
Customer service at its best
Was looking forward to visiting Cotswold Wild Life Park on 13 April. Unfortunately our granddaughter was ill overnight and had to postpone. Rang the company this morning and explained. They were happy to send compliments tickets to me on receipt of my email. Great customer service!
