Appalling customer service and unreliable "premium" products
I am incredibly disappointed with Cosmo Electrical. In November 2022, I spent a substantial amount (£139.97) on what were advertised as premium Varilight V-Pro master LED dimmer switches.
Throughout the years, I have had nothing but issues with these products. They constantly stop functioning, and I am now on my FOURTH replacement switch. The latest failure is the polished chrome master dimmer in my front room, which has completely stopped working—despite the fact that it is hardly ever used, as I primarily rely on lamps for lighting.
Because of these faulty products, I have had to repeatedly pay for an electrician to come out, diagnose the fault, and replace the defective switches. The cumulative cost of these electrician call-outs now far outweighs the original cost of the switches.
To make matters worse, Cosmo Electrical’s customer service is non-existent. I have sent two formal emails outlining this issue, and they have completely ignored me. They are happy to take your money for expensive items but will ghost you when those items prove to be unfit for purpose. Save your money and buy elsewhere from a company that actually values its customers.

Dear Miss Mesmain,
We're genuinely sorry to hear how frustrating this situation has been, and we appreciate the inconvenience that repeated switch failures have caused.
However, we would like to clarify a few points for anyone reading this review.
You mention that you are now on your fourth replacement switch. Those replacement units were supplied by us in good faith over a prolonged period because we have consistently tried to help resolve the issue. We therefore do not believe it is fair to suggest that we were simply "happy to take your money" or that our customer service has been "non-existent".
As the failures continued, it became clear that repeatedly sending further replacement switches was not identifying or resolving the underlying cause. Rather than simply continuing to replace products indefinitely, we contacted Varilight directly to investigate the matter. They confirmed they are not aware of any manufacturing or batch issues affecting this product range and recommended that your electrician contacts their technical team to discuss the installation and determine whether there may be another factor contributing to the repeated failures. We passed these details to you in our email of 2nd July to which we have not yet had a reply.
We also respectfully disagree with the statement that we ignored your emails or "ghosted" you. While we acknowledge that one response took longer than others, this was because we were actively investigating the matter with the manufacturer before replying. We responded on with the outcome of those investigations and remain willing to assist both you and your electrician in working with Varilight to identify the root cause.
We completely understand your frustration and are sorry this issue has not yet been resolved. Our aim has always been to find a lasting solution rather than simply continue replacing products without addressing the underlying cause, and our offer of assistance remains open.

Amazing customer service, AMAZING!
After missing a unit out of an order I out together, the sales team managed to get it included in the same delivery, if you deal with a lot of orders you'll know that this doesn't happen very often.
The delivery was next day, next day meant next day not after the working day had finished.
I will definitely return.
