Ich habe Conny beauftragt, meine überhöhte Miete wegen Mietpreisbremse zu senken. Auf der Website klang alles einfach: Legal‑Tech, „kein Risiko“, Erfolgsprovision nur im Erfolgsfall. In der Praxis war ich an mehreren Stellen sehr unzufrieden.

Erstens war das Provisionsmodell für mich wenig transparent. Mir wurde später erklärt, alle Details stünden im Kleingedruckten, bevor man auf „beauftragen“ klickt. Formal mag das stimmen, faktisch war mir die tatsächliche Kostenbelastung in diesem Moment nicht klar. Die Höhe der Provision habe ich erst mit der Endabrechnung wirklich verstanden – und empfand sie im Verhältnis zur erzielten Senkung als deutlich zu hoch. (Ich schildere hier ausdrücklich meine damalige Erfahrung; wie die Darstellung heute ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen.)

Zweitens hatte ich den Eindruck, dass Conny möglichst konfliktarm mit dem Vermieter arbeiten will. Mir wurde relativ deutlich geraten, den vorgeschlagenen Vergleich zu unterschreiben, weil es angeblich „kein besseres Angebot“ geben könne. Von der Option, härter zu verhandeln oder notfalls vor Gericht zu gehen, war kaum ernsthaft die Rede. Das Ergebnis fühlte sich eher nach „Hauptsache schneller Deal“ als nach maximalem Mieterschutz an.

Besonders ärgerlich ist der ausgehandelte Nachtrag zur Indexmiete. Das Aussetzen der Indexmieterhöhung wurde mir damals als großer Bonus verkauft, den mein Vermieter „entgegenkommend“ angeboten habe. Tatsächlich war das für mich aber kein echter Vorteil, sondern nur ein Aufschub mit schwammiger Formulierung. Heute, ein paar Jahre später, hat mein Vermieter eine massive Indexmieterhöhung von über 20 % auf einen Schlag durchgesetzt. Das angebliche Entgegenkommen beim Aussetzen der Indexmiete wirkt im Rückblick eher so, als hätte vor allem der Vermieter gewonnen. Für mich sieht das wie eine sehr schwache Verhandlung oder zumindest eine Lösung aus, die den Vermieter klar begünstigt.

Als ich Conny nach der jetzt anstehenden Erhöhung erneut kontaktiert habe, kam nach langem Warten nur eine kurze Absage: Man könne mir in diesem Fall nicht helfen, ich solle es beim Mieterverein versuchen. Keine inhaltliche Auseinandersetzung, keine Verantwortung für die eigene Nachtragsgestaltung, kein ernsthafter Versuch, eine Lösung zu finden.

Unterm Strich habe ich das Gefühl, dass Conny in meinem Fall gut verdient hat, ich aber keine wirklich nachhaltige Mietminderung und keinen belastbaren Schutz vor späteren Indexerhöhungen bekommen habe. Ich würde anderen Mietern dringend raten, das Provisionsmodell genau zu lesen, sich nicht unter Zeitdruck zu einem Vergleich drängen zu lassen und sich im Zweifel zusätzlich unabhängig beraten zu lassen (Mieterverein, Fachanwalt), bevor sie etwas unterschreiben. Auf Basis meiner Erfahrung würde ich diesen Dienst nicht noch einmal in Anspruch nehmen.

Es war eine wirklich gute Erfahrung, Conny hat mir während des gesamten Prozesses bei der Mietminderung geholfen und mich bis zum Ende meines Falls bei einer guten Lösung unterstützt. Gute Fachleute. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Achtung: Die Gebühren sind extrem hoch. Conny behält nicht nur die komplette (!) Rückforderung bei bereits zu viel gezahlter Miete, sondern auch die komplette Ersparnis bei einer Senkung für mehrere Monate. Dazu kommen auch noch Gebühren „wie ein Rechtsanwalt“, obwohl Conny keine echte Kanzlei ist. Wem es nur ums Prinzip geht, für den kann sich das lohnen. Für alle anderen lohnt es sich eher, die Senkung selbst anzugehen, denn diese Fälle haben vor Gericht fast immer Erfolg.

Conny hat viel für mich erreicht und meine Miete im 800€ gesenkt. Ich bin ihnen unheimlich dankbar.

When we first onboarded with Conny, Conny promised us the world with their claims and then ultimately left alone with an impending court case with our landlords and an automated email from Conny that they dropped our case... with no follow up call.

When we had issues with our landlord raising our rent, we were recommended Conny via Google so we thought that we would reach out to them.

The first calls were great and we felt like we had made the correct decision after speaking with them.

"You have a really good case"
"You are in good hands"
"You have no reason to worry, we have the best lawyers who will take care of you if the case goes to court"
"We know your landlord and we've worked with them before so we are very confident with this case"

We sent all the required documents, then were told that we no longer need to speak to our landlords as Conny would be taking full right of attorney.

We felt very safe when Conny said that they will be taking full control. Even when they said the our landlords didn't respond and that we will be taken to court.

That was until maybe a few weeks later we receive a message that simply read:

"After a thorough examination of the facts and the legal situation by our legal experts and our algorithm, we regret to inform you that we do not consider further enforcement of your claim in your case to be promising.

We regret that we do not have more positive news for you and thank you for your inquiry. The matter is now closed and the file is closed."

After all this back and forth we were left with this auto-generated message and no further clarification.

I tried to email them a couple of times, to absolutely no response back. Zero.

So I had to make an appointment, pretending to be a new customer because that was the only way to actually get them to answer - no one would answer the phone of the number that they gave us.

When I finally got through to someone, the operator told me "sorry this is not my expertise" when I was asking about "what do I do now?" They were of absolutely no use and could offer no help to the mess that they threw us into.

So now we are stuck with a court date, court fees and an insane amount of stress.

Long story short, do not fall for the empty promises of Conny... it's a con.

Meine Erfahrung mit Conny war insgesamt sehr positiv. Der gesamte Ablauf war klar strukturiert und verständlich. Besonders gut fand ich, dass ich während des Verfahrens regelmäßig informiert wurde und die notwendigen Schritte einfach erklärt wurden.

Das Unternehmen hat sich professionell um den Fall gekümmert und am Ende erfolgreich eine deutliche Senkung meiner Nettokaltmiete erreicht. Auch die Kommunikation war freundlich und hilfreich, insbesondere wenn Fragen aufkamen.

Besonders gut macht Conny, dass sie komplexe rechtliche Themen verständlich erklären und den gesamten Prozess für Mieter deutlich einfacher machen.

Conny did indeed reduce our rent, but also surprised us with needing to pay 380 € for their service, despite their website claiming that tenants needing to pay is a very rare occurence. When I reached out to them about being surprised about the cost and lack of transparency, they responded with "there’s nothing we can do".
It was also very annoying to get AI phone calls to (erroneously) remind me of appointments, and ask me for a review (here you go).

Conny hat mir geholfen meine Miete um 25% zu senken und das innerhalb von knapp 2 Monaten. Die Kommunikation war super einfach und klar. Über das Bezahlmodell muss man sich vorher definitiv informieren und schauen, ob das für einen passt, aber die Arbeit war klasse und ich sehr zufrieden mit meiner neuen Miete.

Die sind sehr hilfreich. Ich habe 200 euro gespart.

I never signed any contract or Vollmacht with Conny. I replied "ok" to one email and then decided to go with a lawyer instead. Months later I received a Mahnbescheid for €2,950 in damages, claiming that email reply constituted a binding contract. My lawyer has already filed a Widerspruch. Based on Trustpilot reviews, I am clearly not the only person this has happened to — there is at least one identical case documented here with the exact same amount. Do not reply to any Conny emails without being aware that they may treat it as a contractual commitment and will bully and intimidate you. Scammers, scary and would not recommend working with them at all! very unethical behaviour for a company claiming to want to help you!
Also my neighbour signed with them and they didn't even show up for the court hearing... it's horrible. STEER CLEAR OF THEM

I used Conny to challenge the rent of my apartment in Berlin. While they did manage to achieve a rent reduction through a court settlement, my experience after that point has been extremely stressful and disappointing.

Following the settlement, the landlord made several payments incorrectly. Some money was transferred directly to me that, according to Conny, should have been paid to them. At the same time, the landlord demanded that I return part of the payment due to an alleged error. This created a confusing situation involving payments between three parties: the landlord, Conny, and myself.

I tried repeatedly to clarify the situation with Conny by email. I asked multiple times for a clear breakdown of the amounts involved and how their commission was calculated. Unfortunately, communication was very limited and often slow or nonexistent.

Instead of resolving the confusion, Conny ultimately sent a Mahnbescheid (court payment order) for more than 2 700€. Receiving a court order despite my attempts to communicate and clarify the payments was extremely stressful.

What makes this even more frustrating is that the commission structure is very complex. While the terms are technically written in the AGB, it is not easy for a normal tenant to fully understand how the commission will be calculated in practice or how payments will be handled when mistakes occur between the landlord and Conny.

In the end, the financial outcome for me was negative (I lost more than 1000 euros even though their promise is no costs for me) and the process became a months-long source of stress, which I ended up losing. It caused me mental health issues and months of stress.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Conny to avoid this. It's not worth it.

Mein Fall läuft mittlerweile seit fast zwei Jahren bei der Conny GmbH, aber ich bekomme kaum Updates oder schriftliche Auskünfte zum Stand des Verfahrens. Auf meine E-Mails wird meistens gar nicht geantwortet.

Auch vereinbarte telefonische Termine wurden in letzter Zeit kurzfristig abgesagt. Wenn jedoch Unterlagen oder Informationen von mir benötigt werden, werde ich ständig angerufen. Außerdem wurden mir mehrfach Dinge versprochen, die anschließend nie umgesetzt wurden.

Nach dieser langen Zeit ohne klare Kommunikation überlege ich ernsthaft, meinen Fall einem richtigen Anwalt zu übergeben. Sollte auf meine letzten E-Mails weiterhin keine Antwort kommen, werde ich persönlich vor Ort erscheinen und schriftlich beantragen, meinen Fall dort abzuziehen.

Sehr enttäuschend und leider nicht zu empfehlen.
