Liverpool staff are amazing especially Megan who goes above and beyond checking in on me and how I'm feeling. Feel so supported and massive weight off me knowing I have such great people finding me hours. They really listen to what you need. Competitive rate of pay, very quick to find me work infact I had a few schools to choose from. Love getting paid weekly really helps. So glad I joined

Nottingham office is a joke. I have 23 years experience as a teacher with an excellent track record. I spent a considerable period of time sourcing documentation for clearance, having provided two strong referees. I had to keep chasing them for updates, nothing and left with no communication for over five months, AVOID!!!

Connex are brilliant I have always had constant work offered to me.Craig is fab he is very approachable and professional. I am very happy to work for the agency and would not go anywhere else.

I've been working for Connex Education for over ten years. Originally I had 3 agencies when I qualified as a Teacher, but quickly found that Connex was my preferred company. The Nottingham office are fantastic, keeping me busy. Especially Craig and recently Charlotte treat me with lots of respect and are finding me lots of great assignments locally in the city and some throughout Nottinghamshire. I know I'm valued and this is represented in the competitive day rates I receive. Other Connex staff, including the fabulous Jenni (from Halifax office) find me work in other locations. So I'm always kept busy but they understand when I need to have a long weekend or a holiday out of term time. Schools always value the work we do and look forward to me returning to them.
I won't choose any other agency !!!!

I have had brilliant help and experience with connex over the last few Months with Booking work. Hayley inparticular has helped me week by week get work that's around me. she's been so kind and helpful and flexible with my needs for working. I couldn't thank her enough for all her help.

Was paid using a now illegal payment system called “rolled-up pay” meaning my holiday pay was being “rolled-up” into my day rate. This meant that I was refused my holiday pay when it was required. Definitely would not recommend!

I’ve worked on day to day supply with Connex for about three years now and they have provided a ready supply of work and leave it entirely up to you when you want to make yourself available.
The staff have been brilliant and so friendly. Big thanks to all of them especially Charlotte.

I don’t advise to work with Connex Education agency. They called me in November and offered position in the school, we sighed contract 17.11.2024. Then case worker requested the references 2-3 times…same references from same places, I pass some trainings and nothing happened. Today is 13th March I am still waiting for their call with respond. They are checking my file during more then 3 months. I contacted, they promised to call me back and that’s all.
So, my advice is- don’t spend your life time for this agency!

If you're looking for an agency that will waste your time and leave you high and dry, look no further than Connex Education. From the get-go, they dangled the carrot of full-time work in front of me, hounding me to complete all necessary training and references ASAP. They painted a picture of seamless entry into multiple schools with guaranteed hours.

But what did I get? One single shift, followed by a complete blackout in communication. Emails went unanswered, calls were dodged, and I was left hanging with no explanation. When I finally managed to get in touch, the excuse was there's "no work in Birmingham for Teaching Assistants." Suddenly, the agency that promised the moon couldn't even deliver a speck of dust.

This isn't about just one bad experience; it's a pattern of deceit. Connex Education is only interested in boosting their numbers to meet internal targets, not in providing real employment opportunities. They'll sign you up, make you jump through hoops, and then abandon you.

If you value your time and sanity, steer clear of Connex Education. They're not here to help you; they're here to help themselves. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for genuine employment support.

The company still owe me money for work I did in November. They are ignoring messages and calls and yet still calling me daily to see if I want work. Having worked for a variety of agencies I really would not recommend Connex Nottinghamshire at all!

Wonderful company - Sam and Holly my contacts are very professional and can place you in some exceptionally good schools in the north Cheshire area.
I have worked for other agencies previously and not been as satisfied as I have with the way I feel they have made the effort to get to know me and my skills 👍🏻

My personal experience with the Connex Warrington office has been really fantastic, from getting registered to finding work placements.
All the staff are really great. Sam has been exceptional. Her communication is amazing. Sam has managed to find me a current placement, very local and with regular hours at the moment,which fit perfectly for me as I can only work certain hours and days.I absolutely love the work placement I am doing at the moment.
Sam keeps in touch regularly to check how everything is going and has managed to work with the school so that I can work extra hours if needed on the days and times when I am available. I am paid weekly and so far have not had any issues. I have only praise for the Warrington team. Registering with Connex has been the best decision I have made regarding
getting back into schools as a teaching assistant

Warrington office terrible attitude especially danielle ok i turned down work due to unfortunate circumstances though in the terms and conditions you can cancel anytime danielle seemed to have a chip on her shoulder with myself took me of the register and refused to give me any more work complained by email to manager a couple of times asking me for my dbs money back heard nothing give this company a miss they are arrogant and rude would give rhis company no stars if it allowed me too lucky escape if you ask me!

I've just discovered that I am paying for both my pension and national insurance plus the employers which reduces my pay significantly. I looked into this and it's because I'm not paid directly by connex but by Connex education partnership.
Connex have not been transparent about this and say they don't use umberella companies, but as a direct employee I should not be paying for employer pension or NI. Please be aware of this if you work for Connex Education

Rachel in the Middlesbrough office was exceptional. Quick and easy registration process, handy location (by car at least) and good communication.
From signing up to gaining employment took days and found a wonderful position that I'm really enjoying. Rachel would keep me informed and was professional throughout, I really felt she was looking after my interests.
Payment was quick and secure, a week in hand as is usual in these positions in my experience.
The only negative is that when it came to completing the booking, another employee confirmed my booking and took the figure away from the person who had done a lot of the work in securing it, which I felt was a little unfair on Rachel but perhaps that is how it works in education recruitment.

Pathetic company, avoid the Nottingham branch at all costs, Jade is unprofessional and 'neglects' to inform you of everything, does not take calls and is exceptionally poor at communication.

I recently completed the e-learning Courses in Connex Education Academy and it was awesome. The lessons from the training exceeded my expectations .It also provided me valuable insight and practical skills. The Training has significantly enhanced my confidence and will position me in delivering my assigned duties.

The person put in charge of my clearance went off work for over 3 weeks. Nobody processed me, my DBS was left unsent, and no one contacted me. This is my second negative dealing with Connex, who I had interviewed with previously, was accepted, and no one got back to me. They have wasted my time and energy twice, and I won't be fooled a third time.
