I couldn’t have asked for better support or advice that what I received from them. They were with me every step of the way, stood as a buffer between me and the employer their advice and professionalism was first class. It’s such a complicated process if there are problems within the workplace. This Union in particular is people focused with individual needs and requirements at the forefront of their work. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their on line training and legal services are a bonus of membership that not all need or explore but are brilliant. I had never experienced having a union officer before meeting Sati. This experience has made me realise that everyone should be a part of a union. Sati has been kind, understanding, and fair towards me. I feel supported and seen during this challenging time. I have also learned a lot from her about what I could do to protect myself in the future.

I want to say a big thank you to Sati for being my union officer. Anyone who works with her is very lucky—she’s fantastic!

Expert advise and brilliant reps. Recent meetings with a ex employer went so well, due to the brilliant way my representative Sati conducted the meeting. I truly believe she is a future general secretary in the making.

I had an issue at my work (in a school), my Rep was brilliant. He came to the meetings gave me great advice. Listened when I had a moan. I don't think my work thought I would use my union. My academy chain have a recognised union and I am very grateful that Community is not that one. As to me I am confident that they are impartial.
Overall a fantastic service, that helped see through the red tape and waffling. Have recommended them to other colleagues.

Community recently gave me pension advice. The support was excellent. The representative supporting me was always available by email or phone. Her responses were clear and really helped me at a very tricky time. An excellent teaching union. I am a Primary class teacher.

Sati Bachu was terrific!

This lady had my back and represented me very well from the get go. Couldn't have expected a better result and a lot of it is thanks to her and the Community organisation she represents. Really grateful and appreciate the work the Community does and how she helped me that day and throughout the entire process. It is not just a job for Sati, it is a calling...

Have just been to see The Mode Theatre presents "Under New Management" at Edinburgh Fringe. It was fabulous, witty and so true. Thankyou for sponsoring them to bring their show to the Fringe - they are well worth seeing and it was money well spent 😊

This is what a Union is all about. Support, honesty, integrity, courage, solidarity, realism.

My problem was severe, and Community supported me all the way.

Being advised by my union representative to contact Janine regarding my pension was something that I did. The help that Janine gave me was excellent. I would recommend that all Community Union members listen to their representatives and follow their advice. Many thanks Janine.

Having found myself in a situation whereby I needed to retire early due to ill health, I turned to my union - Community for support.
This process started in Nov 22 and was finally completed in April 24.
Throughout the process Letitia my union rep was with me all the the way. She offered support and guidance, attended every meeting, when needed spoke on my behalf and put me in contact with other Community staff who were more relevant for me, such as their pension advisor.
I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me and would highly recommend them to anyone considering joining a union.

I was given a stage one disciplinary by my employer for something that was not my fault. My union advisor Letitia McCalla and myself appealed this judgement. Thanks to a bit of teamwork and Letitia's professional attitude and guidance we managed to get the disciplinary overturned. The whole experience gave me confidence to challenge any wrong doing. I recommend Community union to anyone in need of support.

After battling with my previous employers over reasonable adjustments - a battle which I thankfully won, though not without a huge negative impact on my mental health - I realised the importance of having the support of a good union rather than dealing with these things alone. I joined Community hoping never to need them, but a couple of years later I ended up facing redundancy. The difference it made having Community, in particular Chris, on my side was incredible. From asking questions that I would never have thought of, to sourcing excellent legal advice, to offering much needed words of kindness at a time when I felt very low and isolated, Chris and the team took a lot of stress out of the situation for me, leaving me with the space to come to terms with the news and make plans for the future. Chris told me that he'd never met anyone who regretted being made redundant and, sure enough, I already found another job where I'm far happier and treated better than I ever was with my previous employers - not to mention I have my redundancy payout to enjoy too! My only regret is that I wasn't a member of the union sooner. Thank you, Chris and Community.

I had a meeting at work and community were amazing my rep worked so hard on my behalf to save my job so now I’m recommending everyone I know to sign up to community

I am writing this review to express how thankful I am to the union but in special, to Lesley.

Lesley has been a big support to me recently with my problems at work and has attended to two disciplinary meetings with me. She has helped me to not stress over it and thanks to her I am still able to exercise my profesion just how I love it!

So thank you Lesley and thank you community for being by my side in such tough times for me.

Community have been amazing. I have recently had some issues with bullying in the workplace and they supported me. At one point I was having multiple communications each day and they were so supportive I could have not got through this situation without them. Others in the company dealing with the same situation were part of different unions and were astounded at the difference in support and all have either joined or plan to join Community. In all honesty this was the hardest thing I have ever dealt with and without them I would have broken but Community kept me going and went above and beyond to help. Thank you to all the staff especially Nicole Andrews and David Fiddler I’m sure I caused them multiple headaches but were amazing. It takes a special group of people to help in the way that they did.

I would like to thank Community Union, especially Daniel Warren for his support during a really difficult experience.
Daniel's knowledge, professionalism and support were exceptional throughout.
Thankfully, Daniel's involvement with my case helped to ensure a timely conclusion.
