I see a side to my son that I’ve never had the opportunity to see before. The skills he is using during collab are directly positioning him for the future. He is working as part of a team, moving between roles and supporting others while the group tackles gamified challenges that reflect decision-making scenarios with no straightforward answer. He’s required to engage in collaborative strategic thinking processes while considering multiple view points, ethics, consumerism, economics, biodiversity, and many more. The future is unknown, but the transferable skills this program builds is preparing our young people for it.

First of all, my kid is picky. Of a dozen online classes he has stuck with two. Collab is one he always looks forward to. He loves the games because they are challenging and they keep him engaged. As a kid who admittedly doesn’t like people, I was surprised he stuck with this because there is a lot of social interaction. He gets to engage with kids that are older than him which he loves. I love the fact that the founders send incredibly insightful summaries of what they are teaching my child so that he doesn’t have to do any explaining. Well worth the investment.

My son has been doing CoLab for about a year and a half now—he first tried a special session the year before and loved it but due to scheduling conflicts, he wasn’t able to join immediately. He was elated to be able to join regularly. Sadly, our schedule has changed again, so we will have to pause again until our schedule changes again or another session can be opened.

CoLab has been such an amazing program for him. It’s a great blend of puzzles, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration and social-emotional development. The challenges are so thoughtfully and uniquely designed, and recently, they even gave kids the opportunity to design their own challenges, which my son enjoyed immensely. It was gratifying for him to be able to see and work through his own challenge with peers. The instructors do such a great job of facilitating the sessions and helping the kids work together more effectively—they are encouraging and helpful but also point out areas for improvement in a constructive and respectful way. We can’t wait to re-join and highly recommend the program to others.

My child has been part of CoLab for a while now, and it’s become a highlight of their week. The program does a fantastic job blending fun with real skill-building — kids work through interactive challenges together rather than competing against each other, which teaches cooperation, communication, and problem-solving in a way that feels natural rather than forced.

What stands out most is how genuinely invested the instructors are. They build real relationships with the kids and clearly care about helping each child grow. My child looks forward to every session and always comes away excited to share what they worked on.

It’s rare to find a program that makes collaboration and critical thinking feel like play rather than a lesson. Highly recommend for any family looking for an engaging, well-run activity that builds skills kids will actually use later in life.

My older child has been with Colab for a couple of months at this point - kiddo is naturally pretty shy and a little awkward and we thought this might be a good way for them to have fun low-pressure way to both practice social skills and build some tech fluency.

It did not disappoint. In just a couple of weeks, my kiddo is participating frequently, asking questions, reading for the group, making suggestions on next steps for the adventures and puzzles. The last time they wrapped up and were telling me about what they did the first words that come out of their mouth were "Mom, I might be a genius. I solved the riddle first today and got to tell everyone how I figured it out."

The teachers are fabulous, the company mission is absolutely on point, especially in terms of introducing technology in a low-pressure environment and using social interactions to drive instruction/conversation. To hear kids chatting casually and disagreeing without 'arguing' is so refreshing, especially as a former educator.

I cannot recommend Colab enough - not just for the techy kids, not just for the social butterflies - and maybe even more so for the kids that aren't those things! 6/5 stars!

My child has been using CoLab for about two months, and we’ve had a fantastic experience. I first heard about it through recommendations from other parents in homeschool groups, and I’m so glad we decided to give it a try.

The games are definitely my child’s favorite part—they genuinely look forward to every session and are disappointed whenever they have to miss one. The coaches do an excellent job of making the games engaging and fun.

What has impressed me most is the positive change I’ve seen after just short length of time. My child has become more emotionally resilient and communicates more confidently, things they have really struggled with in the past.

The coaching and feedback are another real strength. The individual monthly feedback is thoughtful and detailed, and the weekly group feedback keeps parents informed and helps reinforce what the children are doing.

I would absolutely recommend CoLab, especially for parents of 2e (twice-exceptional) children. It provides a supportive, engaging environment where kids can develop important life skills while genuinely enjoying themselves.

I first learned about Collaboration Laboratory through a Facebook post in a homeschool group from a mom I did not even know. I was hesitant at first because I can be skeptical about buying into another program people are selling for kids, but I am so glad I emailed CoLab — and grateful that they kept kindly following up with trial lesson options. That warmth made it easier for us to take the leap, and I am so glad we did.

This year, as our family tried homeschooling, CoLab became an incredibly valuable part of our child’s learning experience. It gave her something that can be hard to fully recreate at home: a consistent place to collaborate with other children, share ideas, solve problems together, and learn how to be part of a group.

At first, I was not sure what to expect from an online format teaching collaboration, but I came to appreciate how intentionally it works. The focus is less on what things look like and more on the dialogue, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration happening among everyone involved. In many ways, that made the learning feel even more centered on ideas, listening, and how students communicate with one another.

Mia Chen and Alan Tang have been thoughtful, encouraging, and deeply attuned to her as a learner. They recognized her as an individual, not just as another student in the class. When we met to discuss her progress, it was clear that they truly knew my child — her strengths, her personality, her creativity, and the places where she was still growing. They were able to see how she could improve and give her guidance that encouraged self-reliance, reflection, and ownership of her learning, rather than simply giving her “do this now” directions.

We also really appreciated the weekly parent emails, which arrived within 24 hours of each lesson. These updates made it clear that the teachers were paying close attention to what actually happened in class — not just the activity, but the conversations, group dynamics, collaboration, and growth taking place among the students. The emails were never competitive or comparative. They were always rooted in a growth mindset and gave parents a meaningful window into the learning.

Those weekly emails also included simple, useful ways to continue the conversation at home. Rather than only asking, “How was CoLab today?” we were given dinner-table conversation ideas connected to the lesson, collaboration, problem-solving, teamwork, and how ideas develop in a group. That helped us follow up while the class was still fresh and gave our child a chance to reflect on what she had practiced in a natural way.

For our family, CoLab was a rare and valuable fit during our homeschooling year: intellectually engaging, socially meaningful, creative, and emotionally supportive. We are very grateful for the care, flexibility, and insight her teachers brought to her learning, and I would highly recommend Collaboration Laboratory to families looking for a thoughtful, child-centered learning experience. We will be back again next fall!

I first learned about co-lab through a work conversation and realized right away that it would be a great fit for my oldest daughter. She thrived in her time at CoLab. The way the instructors handle the student relationships is top notch and she always left class wanting more.

CoLab has been a massive hit in our household. Here are words straight from our son, "It's very interactive and really cool! It's so fun because we get to find things. We get to work together to play instead of just playing alone."

Overall, it is an excellent platform for fostering creativity and teamwork. Highly recommended.

The support and quality of the teaching and program are seriously impressive. The customer service is phenomenal as well. This is an awesome extension to our homeschool program and gives my son an additional social opportunity as well ways to develop growth mindset

What made our experience great is how engaging and flexible the classes are for both of my boys at very different grade levels. I have a second grader and a sixth grader, and Co Lab has done a wonderful job meeting them where they are academically while still keeping them excited about learning. The teachers are encouraging, knowledgeable, and make the lessons interactive so the kids stay involved instead of just passively watching. I also really appreciate how easy the platform is to use and how well it fits into our homeschool schedule. It’s been a great way to add high-quality instruction and new subjects into our homeschool without adding stress to our day.

My son has been attending СoLab for a year now. He has improved his communication and leadership skills and has become more involved in communicating with his peers. It has been a very positive experience for us. I recommend СoLab, it's very interesting.

Colab is one of the hilights of my child's week. It is remarkably exactly what it claims to be - an interactive, fun learning experience that builds problem solving skills and social interaction at the same time. We can tell its going well from the weekly emails, but more than that from the fact that we can hear him laughing from the other side of the house when he is online. Big thanks to Alan and the whole crew, we have yet to meet a facilitator who is not fantastic.

My 12yo is a little timid, so she was extremely nervous before getting into the class. But everyone made her feel welcome, and she warmed up very fast. Her words exactly were “I really liked it, everyone was so nice, and the problem-solving games were fun. I found the parent email very comforting, as it provided insight into how my daughter performed on the cohort from someone else’s perspective. They provided some great information in that email that helped me see the educational value that Collab provides.

Aaron has been attending Colab for over four months now, and the growth we’ve seen has been truly impressive. There has been a noticeable improvement in his communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking.

What really sets Colab apart is the team. Allan and Mia have been amazing—consistently providing thoughtful feedback and keeping us as parents fully in sync with Aaron’s progress, strengths, and areas for development. We always feel informed, supported, and confident in the process.

Colab has been an incredibly positive experience for both Aaron and our family. We’re very grateful for the impact it’s had and highly recommend it to any parent looking to support their child’s growth in a meaningful way.

Collaboration Laboratory (aka CoLab) has been nothing short of an amazing experience for my two girls. For the past year or so my girls had the privilege of participating in CoLab's extremely fun and educational classes (with the same group of kids and moderators who they got to know very well over time and consider friends).

CoLab not only helped my girls get more comfortable with speaking their minds, but also boosted their overall confidence in themselves. The dynamic and interactive classes taught my kids leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills through engaging games lead by expert moderators. Truly a wonderful and unique program that you cannot get anywhere else.

Very fun, engaging, and interactive program that facilitates creative thinking, self advocacy, active listening, and collaborative problem solving. Kids of all ages who live across the globe have the opportunity to interact and work together to reach a common goal. It addresses all the skills traditionally overlooked in typical learning environments essential to professional settings.

I am so happy for my son to have an opportunity to be a part of the early release of CoLab and still be a part of it today. He has made meaningful friendships and he loves the welcoming atmosphere that the adult instructors bring to the groups (and I appreciate the teams incredible response time and dedication to support). I can see how CoLab has widened his observational skills and I think that’s a big issue that people are lacking more so lately. CoLab is setting these kids up for mastering successful communication, problem solving, empathy, respect, and so much more. I absolutely would recommend CoLab to anyone!

My daughter absolutely loves her weekly CoLab sessions. Her instructors are and have been encouraging! As a result it’s been a safe space to voice new ideas, possible hypotheses of what may or may not work in a given situation. In addition, she’s had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other students her age from all over the world.

My son was part of the CoLab community for about two years, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time with them. I have seen significant positive development in his confidence, team working and leadership skills.
