PLEASE READ BEFORE USING COLEMAN ALLIED!!!!

First off, I have moved domestically and internationally via professional moving services more than 5 times in the past decade, and have never had a worse experience. I would STRONGLY ADVOSE using anyone else, including doing the work yourself, as our experience ended up costing us much MUCH more than we paid for the service ($14,000 BTW...)

First Major Issue: 22 Days Late
We had several quotes for full service moving (full packing, moving, unloading, and treadmill service). We chose Allied due to the fact that they had "availability" and could get us into our home 2 - 6 days after our load day. Giving us a month to get settled in before our planned summer vacation. Not only did our things take 30+ days to arrive, we had ZERO visibility to when they would arrive. We lived for 4 weeks on hard floors, air mattresses, dining out, and little entertainment for our kids (we have a 3 and 5 year old btw...). The delay also resulted in us cancelling out July 4th family vacation, as we only brought a weeks worth of items.

2nd Major Issue: Many Items Never Showed Up!
After half of our summer, and missed holiday were spent on hardwood floors and camping chairs our moving day arrived... We were sooo relieved. That was until the movers completed the unloading and we did not have any of our living room couches, our dining table, or our treadmill. So our floor living continues.... We are now 8 days past the unpack date, and still have no idea when these critical pieces of furniture will arrive. It turns our our couches were shipped to Michigan, and our other times never left Houston (our move was from Texas to Tennessee)... I have reached our via LinkedIn to Sr. Leadership who have been completely unresponsive, and all I can get out of the Customer Service group is that "they are working on it."

3rd Major Issue: More damage than any other move in the past
I do understand that some damage can be done in transit, but we had about 10 boxes that look like they were left in the rain (mold growing on the inside) after sitting water logged in the Texas, or Tennessee, or Michigan heat for weeks and weeks.

We are now asking that we be reimbursed for a UHAUL and gas, so that I can drive 10 hours to Michigan to pick up my own things... Otherwise, we are running the risk of not having seating or dinning furniture in place when family is scheduled to visit in August...

YOU WILL LOSE OUT ON MONTHS OF YOUR LIFE, AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF $$$ IF YOU ARE MOVING ACROSS STATES WITH COLEMAN ALLIED.

My home in Texas was water damaged due to the freeze in February, Therefore, I had to place most of my furniture n storage. I called Coleman and they sent Rick Chase, who actually came to my residence, to survey my items carefully and give me a guaranteed price and time. He was on time and focused on my situation. The movers were polite and professional when they moved my furniture to and from Public Storage.

Going to state what happened to us when we used Coleman Allied movers . Caught the 1st driver going thru our plastic see thru containers taking my items out for his use.When the 2nd truck came and took the balance of belongings to there terminal in the Atlanta, Ga area they went thru our dressers, chest of drawers and boxes and did their shopping and when we had our belonging delivered and as we went thru the 60 boxes, containers and various dresser drawers we found that numerous items were stolen and replacement value is $4,200 On top of that the trailer that was a freight cargo trailer had a hole in the roof and we discovered this 9 days later when we received our belongings and some items were soaking wet and a total loss. Total water damage replacement was$3,137.71 and Coleman Allied refused to replace the items. On top of that we had a Police report showing and listing the damages along with the items the items that was damaged amounting to $1,979.93. Coleman Allied stated that you must list your stolen/damaged items the day of delivery. When you have a 53 ft trailer, 5 men unloading, upstairs, main level, basement and garage and have over 60 boxes and containers it is impossible to know what is stolen at that time and the driver kept count so we don't know if he really counted everything. According to the Federal law you have at least 6 months to check out and look for your belongings. This moving company caused over
$9,317.64 in damages, stolen items and items that were soaked and and destroyed items, furniture broken apart.
It was a total disaster how Coleman Allied handled our belongings, showing that they don't care about the customer and lack of fairness to compensate the customer for what there hired employees did.
We regret ever moving with Coleman Allied and if you plan to move check out the complaints for the moving company that you are interested in. I hope you don't have the same experience we had. Good luck.

This company really delivers what they advertise...taking the stress out of the normally hectic moving experience. My spouse and I opted for the full service for an out of state move, and it could not have been performed more seamlessly.

From the start, they were the only company of the three I requested an estimate from, that actually sent an individual that came to our residence in order to inspect our belongings to ensure an accurate estimate. The others required the online video that we were responsible for.....not too user friendly for seniors without video editing experience. The Coleman rep, Brian Uhlig did a superb job of estimating our move, to the point that we were given a $100+ credit when all was said and done. Very accurate indeed. He was also able to honor my request for an early start on the day we requested since we had such a narrow window between the closing date of our sale, and the closing of our purchase in our out of state destination. Kudos to Brian!

And then we were blessed with driver and packer/unloader coordinator Calvin Lee, who really went above and beyond the call of duty in making our move painless. Calvin called me to ask if he could come by a day early so he could started packing.....he arrived at 9am and stayed until 7pm, and had the entire contents of our house packed with the exception of one room....24 hours ahead of schedule, and facilitated an early start. And on loading day, his crew had our house emptied, with the entire contents loaded and on the road at noon...giving us plenty of time to reach our destination and (purchase) closing a day ahead of schedule....some ample breathing room! His delivery to our new home came as promised, early am on the very first day of their their three day window, much to our delight. The unloading and setup of our furniture and belongings went without a hitch nor any damages. Calvin really shined on the physical end of the move, we were so glad he was assigned to us.

Together, these two individuals (Brian Uhlig & Calvin Lee) orchestrated a move that totally eliminated all anxiety that usually accompanies a move.
I would highly recommend Coleman American, and would further recommend that these two individuals be requested to coordinate your move if you desire to prevent all stress and anxiety.....customer service is what they advertise, and they did it so well!

Awesome experience! Columbus, GA packing crew-Jason; moving crew-Roy, certainly did my military son and family proud 9/21-9/29 move from Columbus to Savannah. Hats off to the professionalism, care and respect shown their belonging and furniture, courtesy shown all of us during the entire experience! Made this ol’military mom proud!

Tevyon and Potter did an excellent job. They called when they finished their previous delivery to tell me they were on the way to our house. They set up our new king mattress and foundation pieces efficiently and provided instructions for use of the adjustable controls. They were polite, efficient, and extremely thorough. They also removed all packaging. We were very pleased with their work!

A very hard working crew that helped us move. Very fast and professional group of movers. A very hot day but did not complain and got the job done on time. I don't plan to move again but if I do I will use Coleman and Allied again. Simply the best!
