Good guides, beauscenery, good hotels, variety of experiences

Besides the beautiful scenery, and the wonderful stops along our journey, our guides, Diane and Julia were exceptional. Their knowledge of the area and history was amazing and just thoroughly added to the experience.

It was an excellent experience with the guides/

The tour itinerary was excellent. Our tour director Mike was outstanding and went above and beyond to meet every need.
Very classy organization

Eric our guide was awesome

From the beginning of the tour and the concise history of Quebec to the end, strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and freshly made fudge, the week-long trip was perfect. It was the right balance of hiking, learning about Quebec culture, whale watching (with four different whale species), multiple gourmet meals, a great group of fellow travelers, and our two exceptional guides. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.

I loved every minute of my trip! The smooth transitions, during traveling and hotels. The beautiful places we visited. Our guide, Michael was wonderful! - very upbeat, informed, and knowledgeable.
The restaurants and hotels were exceptional. I hope to go on another trip with this company, again!

A balanced mix of active walking, architecture, history, culture and local food experiences.
Our two very experienced guides, Diane and Julia, organized our daily activities to the point that the entire trip was orchestrated seamlessly. Classic Journeys does a great job of communicating from the point of booking right up until the trip takes place. All went very smoothly and was extremely enjoyable.

The trip was well architected with much variety. Our trip leader Atli and his company is an incredible asset for the Classic Journeys company. Accommodations and meals were exquisite. Cultural education was top-notch mainly due to Atli’s knowledge and
background.
The eclipse viewing setup was sublime. It was nice meeting other travelers and enjoying the experience together.
One negative comment is receiving instructions for packing bags and bag sizing the day we were leaving for the trip. That is way too late to be sending specifications for bag sizes. I wasn’t impacted, but my travel mate was. She chose to not address the newly-received requirements.
Overall, I will definitely consider Classic Journeys for my next adventure.

The most memorable experiences of traveling with Classic Journeys are because of this outstanding attribute: each destination is guided by local experts who provide a perspective of cultures and worldviews that one cannot appreciate as an outsider traveling by oneself.

This trip was amazing! Highly recommend

Classic Journeys structure is great. The business model of combining the athletics (walking/hiking) with the culture experiences (native guides) is wonderful. We did have a wonderful time and will be a repeat customer.

The location was great. Great food choices. Guides knew their stuff.

Stellar guide we had in Iceland, named Atli made this trip even more memorable.

Lodging was unique and very well chosen.

Vistas, experiences and our group made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Classic Journeys is first class all the way!

Our guide, Donal, was always touching base with all members of the group, making sure the walks, meals and accommodations were satisfactory to everyone. He even stepped in when small snafus occurred. He was very informative as to planned activities, historical background and native flora and fauna. He even suggested activities for those who were extending their stay.
The hotels, restaurants, and planned activities were varied and of great interest to most of the group most of the time.
All in all, a great time was had by all!

Our Guides, staying in the famous old hotels and the others in our group.

We loved our trip with Classic a Journeys to Iceland. We had Atli as our guide and he was amazing. We saw waterfalls, hiked in the most beautiful parks, took a zodiac boat to see the icebergs and went glacier hiking. Every detail was perfect and we fell in love with this vast and beautiful country. Thanks for this wonderful trip! Our family can’t wait for the next CJ adventure!

Terrific guides, wonderful hotels, interesting hikes and tours

We had the most amazing time in Iceland. It was the perfect combination of activities and rest. The hotels were better than 5 star. Comfortable beds, incredible restaurants and incredibly attentive service. Atli took such great care of us that it felt like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. We loved the glacier hike, the horseback riding, the waterfalls, learning about Iceland's history, people and culture. I can't say enough wonderful things about our trip. We will definitely book again with Classic Journeys!
