Having reviewed the removals market and obtained 5 quotations I opted to engage City Removals for my house move in July. City Removals submitted a very competitive quote vs others and having read various reviews I selected them to carry out my house move. City Removals proved to be very professional both before and on the day of my house move. Their removals team arrived on time and worked very quickly to load all my furniture and garage items from my North London 3 bedroom house and very efficiently relocated all of my items in to the new house in Hertfordshire, all within a few hours. I would highly recommend City Removals both for their competitive price and the hard work of their professional removals team.

This is the second time I've used City Removals and they are absolute joy to with. The lads went about their work with excellence and care for our belongings. I highly recommend them.

This removal company is amazing! Quick, efficient, very professional. The admin staff is lovely. It's the second time we used them and we were not disappointed. The packing option is a blessing : being currently pregnant, I truly appreciated it!

I have had many moves over the years but this was undoubtedly one of the best. The crew were professional, polite and efficient and took good care of all my things. Nothing was too much trouble and the move was completed in super-quick time with no damages and no fuss. My thanks to City Removals for taking this work on at short notice, I couldn't have asked for better.

My experience with City Removals was both good & bad, the office staff were clearly professional & dealt with my booking for removals with ease.

I had a video consult over the phone & was told the removal guys would assemble my sons wardrobe on arrival at our new house.

I was told they would pack on the day & leave for 11am.

Based on this I purchased my train ticket to leave Kings Cross at 12:05pm meaning we would reach our destination by around 2pm.

The removal men arrived a day early to pack, but there really wasnt much for them to pack as I was quite organised, they were only at mine for an hour & seemed pleasant enough.

On the actual moving date the removal men arrived at 7am but complained to me about parking. There wasn't anything I could do, I don't drive myself and as my old property was opposite a row of shops the shop customers use any spare space they can as well neighbours along my road park as close to their own property as they can, I cant guarantee parking.

I sensed a bit of an attitude but thought Id give the removal guy the benefit of the doubt.

The removals was seamless & they had everything packed into their van by 9am.

The removal fella said what time was I getting to my destination & I said to him our train leaves just after 12 & we will be there by around 2pm, his face just dropped & with a snarky attitude he said "but we will be there by 11:30am" I dont know if he expected me to wave a magic wand but I explained because I was told they wouldn't be leaving till 11am by the guy I had the consult with this is why I purchased my train ticket to depart at 12:05pm, plus he told me they would be packing on the day not a day early. The removal guy responded with a real belligerent tone we will go back to the office then... Mmm ok.

The fact is these removal guys know full well that even if they arrive early you have to wait until the solicitors give authorisation to the estate agent to release your keys so why I was getting the attitude I dont know.

When my son & I arrived at our destination as predicted we had to wait for our keys to be released meaning the removal guys were waiting outside our new house, this was completely beyond my control, admittedly I was stressing because of the response I received earlier, but upon reading the terms & conditions City Removals acknowledge the release of the keys & account for their men waiting around till 3pm so perhaps someone at their office needs to communicate this to the removal man & tell him to adjust his poor attitude & if it was just impatience due to the England match being on then he should have booked annual leave not be unprofessional towards a paying customer.

Sure enough my keys were released by 3:25pm & my son & I hurried to our new house.

We opened up so the removal guys could commence moving everything in.

In terms of efficiency I can not complain at all, they moved everything from the van to the house quickly however, despite the assurances they would assemble my sons wardrobe they didn't & also when the removal guy asked me where I wanted my desk & I said upstairs he turned around & said its okay down here.

It makes me wonder if I was a male would they have been so bloody rude.

When the office called me to ask me how everything went I explained exactly what had occurred & the response I received was their men are always professional & that isn't their experience... so what am I lying then?

All in all there was good & bad but they were let down majorly by having such poor attitudes & had they treated me with a bit more respect they would have hands down got 5 stars.

Very Disappointing.

Excellent service from booking through to completion. Video survey was accurate and informative in terms of number of boxes needed. Booking the date was simple with email conformation along with the estimate for the move. The estimator was flexible in terms of adding and removing items. The team was superb - walk round survey on the day , then 2.5 hours later , it was done. Similar story at the other end. Careful and considerate of household items, property and neighbours. I would definitely both recommend and use them again.

This company is AMAZING!
Very professional on first contact with the office and the movers were very hard working and diligent.
Would not hesitate to not only use them again but also recommend them to anyone I know.
They even came to collect the empty boxes at 8am the next day free of charge.

The physical removal team were great, courteous, polite, hard working and took all the stress out of the move. Nothing got broken or damaged, and they turned up on time and worked efficiently. From the negative side, we were forced to pay for the entire job up front and immediately in order to book these guys due to the rush coming up to the end of June and the stamp duty window. Inevitably our completion date then changed and we were unable to change or cancel our booking without it costing us a lot of money. Thankfully the vendor allowed us to store our stuff in the new house overnight. The office staff were polite although it felt like they were primarily chasing the cash.

The guys turned up early and were super efficient. This is the first time we’ve used a removal company, City Removals were recommended to us by a friend and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others. They made the process of moving so less stressful and we were super happy with them. Thankyou City Removals.

A fantastic service from start to finish! I would not hesitate to recommend City Removals. They made our move so much easier than I ever thought it would be and I will definitely use them again, when the time comes!

City Removals did my mums move and were brilliant all the way through. Her move to new place fell through, so had to put all her things into their storage facility. They also did all the packing. Really can’t fault any
of their service. They worked non stop, packing over one day, then loading it all up in the vans the next day. Two months later we were able to have it removed from storage and taken to West Sussex to a new home. Everything was very well packed, no casualties at all, and my mum has lots of glass and delicate stuff!
It’s been quite a stressful time moving mum nearer to us, but the Removals have been one less thing to worry about. Thank you, City Removals, would definitely recommend you.

We had a two day packing and moving experience which was very efficient. Also very reliable as none of our possessions were broken or lost. I can say that City Removals has better better prices when compared to many other companies.

When I read "cannot recommend highly enough" or similar, I usually assume it's just a reflection of reasonably good customer service.

Not so with City. A lot went wrong on move day (or days as it ended up being) and ALL OF IT was made so much easier because of the exceptional care, support and advice we received from the Packers, the movers and head office. Simply superb. And at exceptionally good rates.

From our first engagement all the way through the team were professional, when the legal side of the move started to go wonky, we received human kindness, and understanding that went way beyond "going th extra mile". The team are all heroes..and that isn't hyperbole, they are.
