Would give a zero if possible. They use a contract service for delivery- after waiting over 1.5 hours for food the driver just cancelled our order. Customer service was absolutely no help.

This was the absolute worst experience I've had with a food delivery service! Please think twice, local restaurants, before contracting with them. I never got my food & wasted valuable time
Wow. Guess I’m not the only one . . .
Wow! Well I guess I’m not the only one . . . Complete fiasco. This is what kills me. The order with the restaurant on their Chownow portal was fine, my address was correct and apartment number is listed. The order converts to Uber Eats and the address changes by 30 blocks and doesn’t list the apartment number. What the what?!?! In the Seattle area, being off by 30 blocks can be a huge deal for time to change course. There was a highway closed for construction between us and the incorrect address and the driver tried to get it to us. Conversing with the customer service they tell me to bring it up with UberEats that the address didn’t port over correctly. Sooooooo I’m evidently now the CTO for Chownow and UberEats. Good times! Never got our order, but it looks like refund went through. I’m a controller (I just moonlight as an IT whiz for poorly run businesses) and I can’t imagine all the chargeback requests this company must deal with.
Think twice local restaurants
Without adding my own detailed story, more-or-less the same as all the others, I just want to ask why any restaurant would align itself with this Company with these sort of reviews.
They are a bunch of criminals
They are a bunch of criminals. You can pay for a year of service in advance and only use 5 months and they will not budge to try and provide a partial refund; despite being previously told you would get one. They have not helped my business at all. We did not use their POS this company is a joke and I cannot wait for karma to do its thing with them. I should’ve paid more attention to the terms, typically when people have no refund policies like this; it’s a sign their asses won’t be good!
Not sure I can trust Chow Now
After using Chow Now numerous times, I was disappointed with their service last night. I ordered delivery of 3 dinners from an upscale downtown restaurant and included a generous driver tip. When my delivery did not materialize, I contacted first the restaurant, who had the meal waiting for pickup, and then the Chow Now customer service. Following extended hold times, I was advised to reorder and pay a second time for the meal delivery; customer service could only offer a 50% refund for the first order. I ended up retrieving my own cold meals. Will not rely on this service again until their customer service greatly improves.

Ordered a pizza. was supposed to receive in 30 min still not delivered 1.5 hours later. Called Chow now and they said sorry. I said that is OK give me a refund and they said no refunds whether they deliver the food or not.

This was the worst experience I've ever experienced with a food delivery service! I got nothing but excuses and the run around for a missing order that was picked up by the driver, but after 30 minutes AFTER it was promised the delivery did not show up. Called the restaurant whete I ordered, and they referred me back to the delivery company. In order to compensate for the late non-delivery, they refunded my money, still thinking it would be delivered. After contacting Chownow multiple times, they kept saying the order could not be changed. I WAS NOT TRYING TO CHANGE MY ORDER, I was only trying ro track down my order. 2.5 hours after my order was placed and paid for they said they no longer had the driver information and could not track the order. What a waste of time, and terrible service. Please don't use this company.
Delivery order
A coworker made a group order on 8/15/24 at about 11:15am for delivery and order with Chow now. After the payment was made for delivery with a tip, it states “ to pick up at 11:45am. If it was a pick up,order would have been made directly from the restaurant itself. This is a horrible rip off. Spent an hour, on hold, trying to call chow now customer service with no response.

I had a disastrous experience with ChowNow when I ordered 4 dishes and 4 naans from Kebab King. The order took TWO HOURS to arrive, with ZERO tracking available. When I called their support, I was absurdly offered health services instead of assistance with my order!
To make matters worse, Kebab King claimed they never received my order and stated that ChowNow doesn't deliver their food. Only after I left a review on Trustpilot did my order magically arrive - but with only 2 kebabs instead of 4 and NO naans!
The tracking information appeared a day late, adding insult to injury. It's clear that ChowNow is a company that needs serious regulation. Their lack of transparency, accountability, and customer care is appalling. Lesson learned: avoid ChowNow at all costs!
*UPDATE:* I hope someone from ChowNow takes responsibility for this fiasco and takes immediate action to rectify their glaring issues. Until then, I'll be taking my business (and appetite) elsewhere.
Awful
Awful. My food never arrived, despite that it showed as "delivered" in the app. I called the restaurant and they said there was nothing they could do and said I had to call ChowNow. I could not readily find a phone number on their website and the chat said "unavailable" so all I could do was text. No one replied on text, so I googled a number and called them. The person I spoke to said she had to put me on hold while she called Uber Eats. What does Uber Eats have to do with ChowNow? Is ChowNow just using Uber Eats? If I had known that, I would potentially not have used them at all since I have had enough bad experiences with UberEats in the past. She said they will refund my money, but it will take 5-7 business days so now I have to watch my credit card to see that the refund actually comes through. This ordeal took two hours from the time I placed the order to the time I got through on the phone, and then walked out to pick up some other food, and came home to finally be able to eat. Are the drivers just stealing the food at this point? Awful. I am done with meal delivery services after this and several other bad experiences.
Chow Now is a criminal organization
Chow Now is a criminal organization. They copied the website of the restaurant I wanted to order from in Sarasota, Florida. They doubled the prices on the restaurant's menu. They took the tip I left for the restaurant workers. And when the restaurant informed me some of the items were no longer on their menu, Chow Now refused to refund the money. Chow Now charged me $75 for 3 small appetizers. Chow Now should change their name to Steal Now. They add nothing to the transaction. They just rip off money and make problems. Suggest you avoid them.
Stole from me and won't make it right
I placed an order for pick up, and they gladly took my money for it. I drove to the restaurant and it was closed, shut tight with no one there. It has now been FIVE DAYS and ChowNow keeps putting me off and giving me the runaround about refunding my money. They are refusing to refund it, claiming "the store isn't responding" and I am going to have to file a chargeback with my bank

fart on chownow, how is this entity still functioning? They're absolutely terrible. I almost lost $65 and had to drive to the pizza place to fix what they screwed up two hours later. no customer service whatsoever. I hope they rot and burn.
Fail to deliver, fail to correct problem, fail to make it right
Failed to deliver my food on time. When I spoke to customer service, they lied and told me the delivery was only a few minutes out as I watched the online tracker that showed the driver was not moving. Ten minutes after the new promised delivery time, the driver finally started moving and made other deliveries until my food was cold and nearly an hour late. Customer service offered only a $10 credit for future orders which was not even close to covering the $75 price of the order that they ruined.
I placed an order and nothing while waiting 40+ mins to get on chat.
I placed an order and called the restaurant 10 mins after the expected delivery to find out that a driver picked it up that moment. 40 mins later, I get a text saying that the delivery guy was approaching. Nothing for 10 mins. Tried to get on support chat online and after 20mins, I started a text chat. Took another 10 mins and then back and forth with the person claiming the food was delivered. I asked for confirmation that a refund was issued, but nothing. I will dispute this with my CCC, but I am no longer going order from this restaurant as they only use this for online order and deliveries.

Similar to other reviews, I paid over $100 for dinner one night; they said driver stole the food, I had no food and they told me they couldn't refund me immediately?! So, I was literally left with no money and no food! Do not order from them ever!
ChowNow and/or JR Crickets (College Park) Basically Stole My Money
I ordered food from JR Crickets through ChowNow at 7:20 pm to be picked up at 815 pm. It was raining so it was about 830pm when I got there. I drove 50 miles to pick up this food. When I got to the restaurant, they said they had no record of the order being placed. And that the code that ChowNow sent me was to another location of the restaurant. So I get in the car and drive another 30 minutes to get to that location. The second location( after another nearly half-hour finally sent a manager out) and he told me that they had no record of an order being placed. I drive back home with no food and finally get back to the house at about 11 pm(still torrentially raining). I called ChowNow's support. The CSA agent put me on hold while she called the first location and said she spoke to the manager (Steven Young) on a recorded line and he told her that the food had been picked up. And then she has the audacity to tell me that ChowNow couldn't do anything and that I would have to work with Steven Young, the liar who said I picked up food that I did not, to get a refund. $55 wasted.
All seemed like a coordinated scam to me!
DO NOT USE CHOWNOW! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM JR CRICKETS!

What a waste of my time. Does not accept credit card details and then blocks me out. Once, ok. Twice. Bad. Now, never Never again.
Doesn't work for tourists
While staying as a tourist in the US, I wanted to use their app to order at a restaurant. Sadly their system did not allow the user to enter a phone number with a country code
I ordered food online
I ordered food online, but it wasn't delivered 45 minutes after the estimated time. When I called, they said that the driver stole the food, so they asked me if i want to cancel but I have to wait 3 to 5 days for refund, so I just told them that I want to reordered the food. Please don't go to the same problem if you used this company.
