Our recent survey with Cheese Project was highly informative and offered a lot of input for simple thermal efficiency improvements.
We now have a substantial list to-do list, ranging from high priority to little niggles.
Thought I knew our home inside out but realised there's plenty more to learn.

Really friendly and comprehensive thermal imaging for my house. Cold air coming in from places I never expected like around pipes to sinks, and lots of brilliant cheap ideas of how to minimise a lot of drafts.

My survey was eye opening..I thought I knew my home but there were draughts n cold spots that I never understood. I do now. A little bit of draught proofing and sealant and my home is warmer. Survey was so comprehensive, room by room and it’s downloaded onto a USB straight after the survey! TK

Really interesting survey, very much recommended for anyone interested in finding where the drafts and cold spots are in their house. There's a voucher but can get which covers most of the cost too.

Very insightful. Really great to go round the house with the surveyor and use the camera to actually see all the weak spots of the house. This gave us loads of motivation to go round and seal all the gaps thanks to Rob's helpful suggestions. There are a lot of easy, cheap ways to do this and already the space is cosier and cheaper to heat. Completely recommended.

A very thorough survey, with lots of useful information. As they're a recognised service provider the cost was just £10 + a £250 voucher from WECA. Rob arrived promptly and the survey took as long as predicted - just under 3 hours.

The thermal imaging survey done on my home was really informative and helpful. As soon as it was finished I got to work tackling all those little drafts that I wasn't previously aware were making my home lose heat. I reckon I have a list of about tasks to do and some bigger jobs to get quotes for.

We come across with the Cheese Project at an event where we registered our interest for thermal imaging. We were contacted as promised and we had a very smooth, friendly and professional booking-in process.
We received a confirmation text from our surveyor the day before and he arrived on time.
It is our first home and it was very important for us to get to know the house which has been taken into account by our surveyor. He listened to our concerns and tailored the survey to suit us best. He was very knowledgeable and full of ideas on how to make our property more energy efficient.
We already started to make adjustments, it was definitely a good idea to go ahead with this survey :)

Very insightful and helpful. So good to go around the whole house and get a sense of all we could do ourselves, fairly easily and what might take a bit more thought and money ( mainly our conservatory)! Some of it so obvious -when pointed out! The retrofit south west voucher made it totally affordable.
I highly recommend!

Super organised and super insightful. Really enjoyed going round the house with my surveyor and learning all the weak spot of the house and being provided with some possible approaches to making the space cosier and cheaper to heat. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a thermal survey from the Cheese project and it was really useful in finding the draughts and cold spots on the house. They are visually clear on the thermal camera (you get a copy of the video afterwards with commentary) but we weren't aware of them until the survey. We ended up with a practical list of small/cheap but impactful changes we could make. Rob the surveyor was knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We have a 1930s house but a lot of the draughts were coming from poorly fitted ventilation from the 1970s extension. We were able to fill these gaps cheaply and easily. Also we thought we needed to replace old double glazing but were advised to try changing the gaskets which we will try next.

It was a useful survey and discussion with the surveyor; looking around the house for both minor improvements such as sealing up drafts and foil behind radiators, and bigger projects such as heat pumps and "mechanical ventilation with heat recovery". I've made a list of improvements - we're working through it and making the practical ones.

We used a voucher linked to an email newsletter from the local council that significantly reduced the cost of the survey.

I got really helpful advice about how to stop my flat being so cold and draughty. A lot of the action I can take is DIY and will be very easy, but I never would have known this without seeing the thermal images. The surveyor spent a long time making sure I understood everything. I highly recommend.

The Cheese Project is a great initiative and I'm very happy that it was recommended. As someone concerned about reducing my energy consumption both for the purpose of minimising my impact on the environment and saving some pennies, I was very pleased to hear about them. The whole process was very easy and very affordable, thanks for the refund I've received afetr the survey. Rob, our surveyor, was passionate about his work and very knowledgeable and skilled at explainig how to implement cost effectice and simple changes to our home so we could improve our energy consumption. So far, we've implemented two changes and it has helped to make our home warmer and more confortable. I would recommend the Cheese Project 100%. Very professional and insightful service. I now know which areas in my home to target with draughtproofing and the thermal imaging threw up some surprising results! I made use of the Retrofit West voucher which meant I barely had to pay a penny.
