I dropped my Sony WH-1000XM5 and they broke at the notoriously vulnerable/badly designed headband hinge socket.

Found Central Sounds replacement parts. Super sceptical that they would work, worth the money and time to deliver from USA to Sweden.

I needn't have worried. They were really easy to install, good instructions and it has been solid for over a month now. Very glad I went this route and the guys at Central Sound were very responsive, friendly and helpful.

100% recommend this company.

After breaking my rathe expensive…

After breaking my rather expensive headphones I was feeling really annoyed with myself. I looked on YouTube and came across a very straight forward and explanatory video from central sound.co showing how they could be fixed. I ordered the parts from them the same night and then within a couple of days they arrived in the UK from the States. I followed the video and an hour later I had a fully functioning pair of headphones again. They have saved me a hell of a lot of money by not having to buy new ones. Great video that was easy to follow and excellent service.

Excellent source of knowledge and parts

I found Central Sound through their repair videos on Youtube. Their site was easy to navigate and obtain the proper replacement parts for my earbuds. The ordering process was extremely easy, and I got the parts very fast. I would definitely purchase from them again.

Initial mistake with order but great service remedying it

I ordered replacement hooks for the ear on my powerbeats. It took a while for me to get around to replacing the broken part and when I came to it found I was sent two 'right' ear parts instead of one of each, particularly frustrating when it was only the 'left' ear which was broken. Jonathan (customer success) very kindly helped me even though I was past the point of returns being possible and sent me two left ear parts so I have spares for the future.

While an unfortunate mistake. They handled it brilliantly!

Saved 2 broken Sony WXMs-Saving money, Saving the planet!

Ordered parts to repair Sony WXM-3&4 headphones. Parts were perfect (especially their 3D-printed PA Nylon12 parts, which look good and will hold up better than the Sony originals). The YouTube instructional videos for repair were truly helpful; in fact, invaluable. I don't think I could have managed it without them.

My package arrived having been through the wars, unfortunately, and a replacement battery was missing. I sent photos of the damage by email and Central Sound responded helpfully and quickly, replacing said part, so I am happy to praise the quality and responsiveness of their customer service. Truly impressed!

My pricey headphones work and look like new for a very reasonable price, and I feel accomplished. I will definitely use Central Sound for replacement parts in the future.
3/24/26 Quick update that both headphones are still in almost daily to every-other-day rotation. Repairs and replacement parts have held up perfectly. For those wondering, the 3D printed parts are great. They look good, don't seem brittle (my original concern), they're plenty sturdy enough; I don't even notice now which pair has the 3D part vs. the original.

Riable, secure, fast.

Just bought replacements side cover slider for my sony headphones. The shipping was very quick, 10days from usa to switzerland!
Item well packed. A small discount code inside for next time, appreciate it. The sliders are well made, the tutorial on YT is really helpfull. Everything was great, I recommend it.

Buy from anyone else.

This is my first and only review, but this is truly the worst company I've ever interacted with. I urge you yo buy the parts you need from any other vendor. The service was poor, customer service was rude, and I found the parts I needed elsewhere for cheaper and with faster shipping. I urge you to go anywhere else.

5star service new headphone battery and earmuffs

I recently bought a battery and new earmuffs for my headset from CentralSound. I ordered the wrong earmuffs, but their team, especially Johnathon Diamond, handled it perfectly. The refund was processed quickly, and their communication was outstanding. Johnathon ensured the correct earmuffs were promptly sent out, and I couldn't be happier with their service. Sony headphones slider replacement part

Thank you sincerely Central Sound for promptly processing a refund on this item. Make things clear, I followed your instructions very clearly. I should say I am fairly handy in these type of fixes. Perhaps it could be a one off defective unit which is always possible even with the highest quality control and is understandable. The reason which, prompted me to write a review was after reading the return policy.
I can now see how customer centred, you are and,wish to withdraw my negative review. I appreciate your response to my problem and processing a full refund without any hesitation. While I do not doubt the quality of your products there may be multiple reasons that caused my experience and I acknowledge that. Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our apologies for the issue with that part. We did receive your e-mail and if given ample time to reply we would have offered you a refund or replacement, which we will do.

The part could have been installed wrong, it might not have been compatible with your model, it may have been defective. The issue you experienced could be due to one or more of these factors.

We are a small business with 9-5 working hours. We received your e-mail at 8pm and then two hours later you left this negative review. You never even gave us a chance to make it right before leaving this review.

We understand the "want it yesterday" mentality but we cannot provide the prompt customer service response that big business can (like Amazon). It's not fair that you "punish" us for it by leaving a review like this.

We have over 17,000 - 5-Star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - positive feedbacks and reviews across multiple platforms and marketplaces worldwide. That does not happen with bad products and bad customer service. We are here for you and will make this right with you.

Part broken in less than 1 month

I bought two products from them; One of them worked just fine and was something that they made in-house, but the other one was clearly a cheap knock off. When I emailed them about the quality of it, they told me it was fine and that "If you have any issues with that part down the line please contact us and we will take care of you, don't worry."
I feel more like I got taken advantage of instead of getting taken care of. I emailed them and followed up on that email two weeks later to get a response. I was offered a replacement or a refund; I opted for the refund. I was only refunded $29.99 out of the $38.99 I paid; The receipt showed that the rest was "shipping".
Strange, because I distinctly recall that they advertised that shipping was free when I bought it.

While it's partially my fault for expecting an OEM part without verifying, the company was found by entering "OEM Sony Heaphone Parts" into a search engine. There should be more transparency on whether they create these parts in house or simply order them from third party manufacturers.
Also; The fact that I had to send a follow up email to get a refund is a bit ridiculous. If they can't sort theough the volume of inquiries that they recieve via email with their team, they should be looking into hiring on more staff or having an outaide agency assist.
Furthermore; There should be an extremely obvious and clear cut refund policy. If shipping is not part of the refund, then I'm not willing to risk a purchase from your business.

In the end, I paid money for someone to ship me something that only temporarily fixes the problem, and not even that well. I'm thinking of tearing apart the other set of headphones I fixed with their parts to return those too.

First off, our apologies for not meeting your expectations. We sell many aftermarket products under our own CentralSound brand.

Many headphone manufacturers/brands do not supply parts for repair shops or the public. Aftermarket parts are the only option unless you buy used parts from a used pair of headphones somewhere.

It's understandable that you may have gotten confused, or got the wrong search results from google (which we have no control over).

You are correct, we do offer free standard domestic shipping, which you did not opt in to. You chose to pay for the upgraded priority option. You also purchased two items, yet you want a refund on shipping even though the other item was fine, as you admit at the beginning of this review.

We certainly should have responded to you sooner, there is no excuse and we take full accountability for that.

Feel free to send in and return what ever parts you want. If you do return the other parts you ordered then we will issue you the priority mail shipping charge.

We certainly appreciate your feedback and gives us some insight on where we need to make improvements.

It really was not necessary to leave a negative review. You had an issue with our part, we issued you a refund (without you sending it back). It may have taken us longer than you expected but we did take accountability and feel we made this right with you.

The sell a much-needed fix for the sony…

The sell a much-needed fix for the sony XM2 headphone band that is prone to breaking. The first kit they sent out had a piece that didn't fit properly due to mold/printing error. I e-mailed and they sent out an entire replacement that arrived very quickly. The replacement worked and my headphones are back in service. Saved me from buying a new set of cans. Thanks!

When my girlfriend's Dad passed away…

When my girlfriend's Dad passed away last year, she got his Sony noise cancelling headphones to use. They have been very special to her, so when they broke, she was devastated. I was so relieved to find CentralSound had devised a high quality and easy to implement solution.

This company goes above and beyond to make sure customers are successful installing their products. YouTube videos, tools included to do the install, and prompt email support when needed.

Also, this is a small thing, but I really appreciated opening the box I received with the parts thoughtfully packaged, organized, and the little 'thank you!' sticker on the bag letting me know my business was appreciated. Thank you CentralSound!

What a company

What a find, when the side slider on my lovely Sony headphones broke I was tempted to throw them. A little research later I found CentralSound and what a company. Being in the States with me being in the UK I was a little apprehensive, there was no need as I could use Apple pay a company we trust. I placed the order expecting to be patient. No need within a week the parts arrived. 5 minutes later repaired easily, brilliant.5 stars is insufficient 6 stars for you

I placed an order with Central Sound for a replacement part kit to fit my Bose X aviation headset. I received confirmation the following day that the items had been shipped and was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived within 7 days from USA to UK. Great service and happy to recommend.
