On the whole a very good experience
On the whole a very good experience. Our only reservations is that we do a lot of on-line demonstration as part of the learning resources for our training and it requires attendees to be connected to the internet. However, when the whole classroom are connected, we are unable to maintain connection and it makes these sessions inaccessible and we are unable to do the demonstration.

Excellent layout of the Exhibition and speakers
Excellent layout of the Exhibition and the keynote sessions were really interesting. The lunch wasn't very health with a lot of carb and very little salad stuff.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide the feedback. We provide full healthy eating choices, salad options and low carbohydrate items on our extensive hospitality menus. Ultimately, though, it is down to the organisers to decide the choices for any exhibitions or meetings, so, it might be worth providing feedback for your event organisers.

Great space
Great space, there was sufficient space for the exhibition. The lecture theatre was spacious, well lit and sound was of good quality too.

Great facilities
Great facilities, buffet was lovely, rooms a great size, toilets clean and tidy.
Canteen had great looking food available daily.

Not at all impressed with this venue
Not at all impressed with this venue! Our meeting was 9am to 9pm.
It was massively expensive compared to most venues we used in the area for our public consultation (we did 8 across Romford and Brentwood) and not only was it the most expensive the food was quite inadequate, we specifically asked for a warm buffet for the evening, but got the same sandwiches that we had at lunchtime?!
We had to ask for our biscuits even though we had actually ordered them, there was big issues over the tea/coffee machine?! We had ordered unlimited for the day, but the machine was switched off at 4.30pm, and our meeting was til 9pm! After some discussions with staff they agreed to leave it on til a max of 7pm (for health and safety reasons as no staff here after 7pm?!) which leads me to ask why take a booking til 9pm then?
The heating in our room was turned off about 6pm and we had to ask for it to be switched back on as very cold?!
We used a load of venues in the area over an eight week period that were a small fraction of your cost, but much better food and service.
Would defo never use it again or recommend it to anyone?!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am very sorry that you were disappointed with the venue and of course, we will do whatever is necessary to address the issues you raised and improve our service.
Just by way of clarification, as indeed I did when I spoke to you on the day, there was never any warm buffet booked for the evening and neither did you get the same sandwiches as you had cat lunchtime. You had a Classic Sandwich Lunch at lunchtime and a Deli Lunch in the evening. Biscuits were replenished when requested and additional complimentary tea and coffee was provided for you for the remainder of the evening although this was not on your booking. The A/C unit in the room is controlled in the room and,m whilst defaulting to off at 6.00 pm, is very easy to switch back on.
However, we do take very seriously the feedback that you have kindly provided and will review our levels of service and facilities.

Room for improvement
Conveniently location but
difficult parking after 10am
Seating area by cafe is very cold
The fabric on the furniture is stained the tables are not cleaned very often.
Toilets smell do not flush easily & could be cleaned more frequently. More toilets definitely needed.
Cafe tables are regularly dirty. The food is unappealing and overpriced

However, your comments do not relate to CEME Conference centre. Your comments relate to the main building cafeteria and facilities and are no way reflective of the quality or standards offered in CEME Conference centre which is a separate entity to the Centre for Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence main tenant campus.
We would be grateful if you could withdraw your comments from the Conference Centre's Trust Pilot site and re-direct them to CEME main Campus.

The place was inadequate for the price
The place was inadequate for the price.
The food was disappointing with the smoked salmon and cream cheese wraps containing half a tub!
The tea and coffee machine was turned off around midday and not turned on because it was deemed we had had our quota, despite other people outside our event using the machine (there was no sign explaining it was not for general use).
The heating was turned off at around 5-6pm despite us being there until 9pm on a very cold day.
