Absolute disgrace of a company. Bought an 11 month old 25k car only to realise the day after it wasn’t rain on the headlight it was full of water inside then to notice it was a replacement from a scrapyard.closer inspection found a cracked front grill and wheel arch not lined up correctly. Took the car back in to Nelson that same day to be told yep looks like it’s been a bump for all the reasons above but contact our service team as it’s no longer a sales issue. I asked for the number to be told just google it that’s where the fun started. A shambles trying to find the right person nobody wanted to deal with it so I decided to reject the car for a refund. Naively I never expected to be buying a botched up accident repaird car for that sort of money. Had the car in to a body shop for a full report and yes it had been re sprayed,masking tape still stuck under the grill
Plus the other issues. Cartime did their own inspection and found nothing wrong with the car shock. They lie through there back teeth discrediting the body shops report who incidentally didn’t take kindly to this. All they keep coming back with is in so many words unlucky you had the chance to fine the issues before you bought it. Asked out of curiosity would you put a new headlight in as it was still under there 30 day warranty to be told no but we will find you somewhere that will for fair price lol. You couldn’t make it up. Please never use this company to purchase a car there’s a good chance you will regret it.

Initially liked the service, went ahead with the purchase not at the fantastic appealing rate advertised, no it was 12%!! drove away home pulled away the paper floor mat to see hole in the footwell mat in a tesla 4yr old!! Then noticed a chip in the windscreen, left it be,but now come to get new tyres to be told the tyres on this EV r not EV tyres!! So now with the high interest rate applied im in negative equity & stuck with the agreement for another 12mths to hand back...this co isnt like your nissan or mercedes where you can clearly see your end term valuation etc, its all very jazzed up & quickly moved on to sign n take away
If you have bad credit then maybe this is an option but god help if u have an accident as you will owe more than the cars value...get a bank loan n finance part to keep your rights!

Fast efficient service with a smile, I was delighted with the way I was treated and with the car. Highly recommended, they went out of their way to help me.

Maybe I was just lucky, but there were two vehicles at Cartime both of which were exactly what I wanted. The salesperson I dealt with, Haider, was very personable and helpful. I chose one of the cars I had already seen on the Monday and picked it up (looking like a new one) on Wednesday,seamless.

Bought my new car from Cartime staff where amazing no pressure or time limit as to how long they have with you. I was spoilt for choice in the large amount of vehicles they have in stock.

I have a mixed feeling with Car time.

Sam the gentleman who sold me my car was great very polite friendly and genuinely an all round nice guy.

I had seen the car on a Saturday and it was exactly the car / spec I was looking for so put a deposit down and said I would be in the next day (Sunday) to look at the car. On Sunday the car was not available to see because it was at the prep shop and locked in and no one has access to keys to get it out, having driven an hour this was a disappointment.

I arranged another day to go and see the car / complete purchase and all went smoothly to be fair.

I was disappointed however a month later when going to give the car a deep clean, to discover the parcel shelf clips appear broke and like they have been super glued meaning I could not remove this part.

For the reasons of a pointless first journey and the issue with the parcel shelf not being able to be removed, also slightly pushy around extra add ons, part ex price. Finally, again Sam was a nice guy but I felt like they didn’t want to sell you the car unless you left a positive review and pressuring reviews it likely going to leave you with negative reviews.

For these reasons I give it a 3/5

This is the third car we’ve purchased from Noel at Cartime in under six months. He first helped our son secure his first financed car in December 2025, so when it was time for my husband and me to upgrade, we naturally returned to Noel for his support.

Noel is knowledgeable, thorough, and highly professional, and he supported us every step of the way. I was unsure about which car to choose next, but Noel patiently guided me through the process, offering helpful advice throughout.

Cartime offers a fantastic selection of vehicles, and the entire experience was relaxed and enjoyable—completely free from the usual pushy sales tactics, which made a big difference. We would definitely recommend Cartime, especially Noel!

Discussed financial options and Bradley made this a smooth and easy process deciding that car I had gone with was the correct one while ensuring I was updated and the car was in pristine condition and any touch ups were completed.

I purchased a 2021 Skoda Kodiaq from Cartime in May 2025.

After only 9 months, the vehicle developed a serious DSG gearbox fault. An independent engineer has confirmed a failure within the mechatronic unit, which has rendered the vehicle undriveable.

Despite providing a full engineer’s report and following the correct process, Cartime have declined responsibility on the basis that the report does not explicitly confirm the fault was present at the point of sale. This is despite the nature of the fault and the age/mileage of the vehicle raising clear concerns around durability.

The vehicle has now been off the road for several weeks, and I have effectively been left without transport. This has had a direct impact on my ability to work and manage childcare.

I have also requested a courtesy vehicle or support with alternative transport, however I have been advised that none are available, leaving me to deal with the situation entirely myself while the matter is ongoing.

The case is currently with MotoNovo Finance, however the lack of support and resolution to date has been extremely disappointing.

I would expect a dealership of this size to take a more proactive and supportive approach when a vehicle becomes unusable within such a short period of ownership.

I will update this review depending on how this situation is ultimately resolved.
