As of the end of 2023, Candid ceased all direct-to-consumer clear aligner products and services, and are no longer associated with this profile. Candid announced this change via news publications, on its website, and in digital communications to its customers. In the two years following the announcement, Candid assisted customers who had purchased aligner kits in completing their treatments, obtaining refunds, and beginning retention. The final day to purchase retainers as a direct-to-consumer customer was March 8th, 2024. Candid no longer provides aligners, retainers, treatment accessories, dental records, or refunds to direct-to-consumer customers. Those seeking clear aligners or retainers manufactured by Candid should work with a dental provider who uses their CandidPro product.

So far so good, besides the lisp.
I would rather wait until my treatment is done to leave a review, so I would be sure my teeth actually end up how I want them to be. But anyways, My teeth are moving how they are supposed to move and I haven’t had any problems. It’s not that painful and it hasn’t been all that inconvenient. It’s definitely a big change, but I’ve gotten used to having plastic being in my mouth 24/7. It’s not as easy to contact someone after you actually start the treatment. It’s way easier to get in touch with someone from candid before you even purchase your aligners. This hasn’t really been an issue for me though, since I haven’t had any serious issues. I also have somewhat of a lisp now. That is probably the worse thing about it. People have made comments about my lisp ever since I started the treatment and I’ve noticed it too. It’s not really ideal, but hopefully it’ll be worth it when my teeth actually get straight. My back teeth are the only teeth that have moved so far, so it’s not a noticeable difference as of right now.
I have been pleased with Candid
I have been pleased with Candid. Being able to submit photos from home and avoid trips to an office have been great. The communication process has also been superb.

Into my 5th tray
Into my 5th tray. Each tray has bent along the fringe. I use orthodontist wax to help with the cutting of my tongue. I have contacted customer support and they said they would speak to my assigned ortho and get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago and unfortunately have not heard back from them. I do feel as if my teeth are moving in the right direction.

Two months in, I’ve had a good experience working with Candid. Whether it’s making the molds, or scanning my teeth before each new aligner, these things have been done virtually yet with such ease. Thank you!

So far, really good!
About a third of the way through and the process has been so easy to follow. Candid provides so many helpful tools throughout. I’ve never used the other aligner services but I couldn’t imagine paying double or more when Candid is this easy and good.

So far, so good.
So far, I’m enjoying my experience. The people that I met on my first meeting were very nice and professional. I prepared myself with over-the-counter painkillers, a variety of instant flossers and mini toothbrushes, but have had to use only the over-the-counter painkillers. I use the over-the-counter painkillers every time I start a new set of aligners. I usually only need them for about a day and a half. I do start them at night, so I don’t have to be aware of the initial movement of my teeth. This was a good strategy. The movement of my teeth from aligner to aligner is so subtle that I look forward to switching to my next levels.

I am loving my treatment!
I am loving my treatment. It’s easy to follow so organized in the way they have you set up. I only ran into a slight problem one time. I needed to stay with the same set of aligners for another week. The instructions told me to concentrate my Chewies on a group of teeth. But it gave the number of the tooth which I am not familiar with and it did not coincide with the chart I was given. So that was a little confusing. But I was able to Google it and figure it out. All in all I love the program!!!

The aligners have rough and sharp edges and don't always fit correctly, leaving large gaps in front of or behind certain teeth. Regular braces would probably be better.

The customer service and product is good, orthodontist seems pretty absent
The customer service representatives have been helpful so far, and i really feel like the product itself is working and I’m seeing the results. A new set can be slightly uncomfortable for a few days, but overall this treatment is significantly less painful than metal braces which i had previously as a kid. My treatment plan was delivered quickly, and the aligners came faster than expected. The only thing I’m not too crazy about is the orthodontist’s check ins and messages seem a little too uniform and not personalized at all. It seems like they just pick a stock message and send the same message minus a few minor changes, in regard to scans. It doesn’t feel like it’s a real person monitoring my treatment, which concerns me a little as i was told an orthodontist would closely monitor the treatment. Otherwise I’m happy.
