Ordered Decathlon non-slip water shoes, from Cambridge Kayaks site.
I had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago, I’m 65 years old and have right side paralysis, leg and arm, but at last I’m getting into a swimming pool with a physio/lifeguard now and I love it. I’m having to borrow shoes atm as I’m terrified of falling.
I ordered a size 38.5 they sent a 40. No mention of this size in the confirmation order email nor delivery details, just photos of the shoes.
This was on Monday 7/9/26 and today it’s 12/9/26.
I’ve contacted both companies, neither seem interested.

Decathlon at least had the decency to contact me, but have not done what they said they would. Why do companies do this?

I’m looking for a full refund since I have photographic proof that I ordered a 38.5 and they sent a 40.
No idea why they do this either!?!

Very reasonable prices and excellent customer service.
Purchased the super Neptune sit on top with roller assist loading thing and soft roof bars - had many excellent days out on the river.

Another absolutely fantastic order from Cambridge kayaks.
Ordered a kayak trolley in the afternoon and delivered the next morning.
You bigger company's needs to take a look at what these guys are doing you might see why cambridge kayaks get so much repeat custom

Purchased a kyack in the sale for a present for my wife , was all excellent to start with , unwrapped it on my wife's birthday to find it damaged down the complete one side , emailed multiple times and tried to phone with no response, don't bother as after they have got your money they don't care and have no interest in helping , looks like a second hand kyack not a new one , may have been used as a rental so definitely not new as advertised, go elsewhere

Ordered a kayak , arrived very quickly. Had a small issue with fastening it to my car. Emailed and was resolved immediately and new straps sent same day free of charge. Thank you Richard for your assistance

Simply brilliant - ordering was easy, delivery was really quick and the item is perfect, just what we wanted. I purchased a kayak for my partner for his birthday and he loves it! Has already been out on it four times in the past week! Theres enough space for the pup too, everything packs away so nicely on it. I would definately use this company again and recommend to others. I am even considering ordering one for myself!

They charge £6.50 for Express Delivery then send the item using Royal Mail Tracked 48 which costs them £3.65

We traveled all the way down from the Isle of Mull to purchase the kayak and the customer service was excellent. I have just ordered spare parts for the kayak and again the service and prompt delivery of the parts was nothing short of 1st class. I would highly recommend this company.

⭐ 1 Star Review – Cambridge Kayaks

Without question, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

I waited in all morning on a Bank Holiday for a delivery that was supposed to arrive between 11am and 1pm, only to receive a text saying it would be delayed by another two hours. Frustrating enough, but it got considerably worse.

The driver then phoned me asking where I was and whether I could come outside. It quickly became obvious he had missed the main entrance to the estate and had somehow ended up at the rear gate. Despite repeatedly explaining this to him, the only response I seemed to get was “Oh my God.”

I then sent text messages, my What3Words location, and made several phone calls trying to help him find the address. Most were ignored, and when he eventually called back, he still had absolutely no idea where he was going.

In the end, I had to get in my own car, drive half a mile to his location, and personally guide him to my property.

The delivery finally arrived at 2:30pm — after I had wasted virtually my entire Bank Holiday waiting around for what turned into a completely shambolic experience.

Poor communication, lack of professionalism, and total incompetence from start to finish. Cambridge Kayaks seriously need to review both their delivery service and customer care standards because this was absolutely unacceptable

Made a purchase on line within 20mins received message telling me my item had been dispatched, This is the second time I have used them excellent company and products are amazing. My item was delivered the next day would certainly recommend them .

They're great. Right up until you need replacement parts. Purchased about 2/3 years ago. Had bolts come loose and fall off during transit. Lost one of the side rails on my baracuda kayak. Messaged asking about buying spare parts and was told someone would get back to me. That was a year ago. No one got back to me. I chased it up several times and got nowhere. Great kayak. Poor aftersales.

Great kayaks at a good price customer service was brilliant not only did they help me load the kayaks they pointed out an issue with the wheels i had purchased and recommended a cheaper product sorting out the refund and alternative wheels there and then

I wanted to order a kayak but had little time before the wife and I were going away.
These guys did all they could to get it to us on time, and they did just that.
So it was out of the box and onto the car.
We had an amazing time away paddling and fishing on a scotish sea loch.
The kayak was steady and although iv done it before be it many years ago, my wife hadn't but after the first day she settled right into it.
Now this bit is where i personaly rate a company.
Nothing ever goes perfectly and things happen that carnt be helped.
Im not going to go into detail, but we had a slight issue.
I contacted Cambridge Kayaks explaining what had happened and they offered various choices to rectify it and resolved the issue immediately.
No quibbling or arguments just straight forward good customer service.
If or when I need to buy again Cambridge kayaks will be my first stop.
Highly recommend.

Really helpful guy at the warehouse - brought out a few different models so I could try - offered advice & even loaded up for me! Since been out a few times on the Neptune & it’s been great, very stable & easy to paddle - great price too

Offered useful advice and kindly fitted roof rack attachment for us. Richard was very helpful - and the Neptune kayak is great.

I would highly recommend Cambridge Kayaks.

Sent a sample kayak with paddle rattling and was not even the colour of kayak I ordered. Clearly this was a big fault of theirs. They charged me postage for this. I had notified them and was waiting for this to be picked up. I ordered a different kayak while waiting. They charged me postage for that kayak and when it was delivered they picked up the wrong kayak the same time. Twice I paid for postage and have not refunded it, I sent emails regarding my refund of postage and kayak, no reply's, today notified by Paypal refund of kayak only that was not the kayak I ordered. Ripped off sending wrong colour and rattling parts and a sample, now ripped off postage. I was told put duck tape on the paddle and take the kayak out on the weekend. New to kayaking with disability I did not take their advice. Very unpleasant experience and ripped off. Still owe me money. I should not be paying for their mistakes. Very unhappy with the degusting way I have been treated. All call recorded.

The customer service is great, I had quite a few questions about the kayak I purchased, all of them got answered quickly and I got all the info I needed. Great company I highly reccomend. Delievery is very quick considering the size of the kayaks.
