I made contact with them about an mistake on my credit report found them to be really helpful easy to contact and are good at keeping you informed.

ridiculously complicated platform for users
I am writing review as a creditor using Transunion services. The service is abominable and they do not fix problems when needed and create a ridiculously complicated multi layered platform and overzealous password controls making access impossible for low volume users. Management need to take a hard look at themselves and fix this.

My problems started when I joined Nat West and completed a credit score which said` fair` which was in marked contrast to Experian and Equifax saying it was ` excellent`!
I discovered they held elderly information on there which I challenged and they were reluctant to alter. Despite having an audit trail that proved my information is correct, they are still reducing my credit score.
They haven`t responded to my complaint and now I have flagged it again which will take another 6 weeks.
I`m now going to the Ombudsman to formally complain as I`m aware that when you need credit then there is no guarantee which company will carry out the credit check.
Update
I`m now a year further on and yet another email from TransUnion trying to defend their working practices which are unsafe, inaccurate and amoral.
It took them a year to update three glaring problems with my credit report and they keep on saying thatthey have to wait for lender to update their records. Creation Finance confirmed my payments were clear and paid off but they chose to ignore that.
They also kep wrong information relating to my son who died over 20 years ago and with my second son they kept insisting I was his guarantor and wouldn`t adjust an address where he left over ten years ago.
As a final insult, they would like me to leave a positive reiew on Trust Pilot which I am unable to agree to.

They advise me to send an email with specific detail. I did that 3 months ago. I asked them to stop. I made a formal complaint. Extremely inefficient service. Unfortunately my bank ( Lloyds) uses this service. Takes ages to respond to complaints. Totally agree with the 76% of bad reviews.

This company has come out of nowhere, they have my credit rating as bad like they want me to purchase some plan with them but in fact my rating with Experian is the highest it can be. What an audio company you raise a dispute and it doesn’t even work. Total garbage. 🗑️

I’ve sent them proof an my water bill are waiting to see what they say as they want proof to why they put it against me when I owe nothing I’m always in credit .

28 Day SLA for support... Now day 76 with no resolution.
Had one response on day 65 to say that there was no content to my email.
It has their Support Ticket reference in it.

Much lower credit scores than given by competitors
I have never contacted TransUnion nor intend to. My experience with Experian and Equifax is of scores that reflect my long-term stability in maintaining credit accounts. I don't miss or delay payments and the summary information is usually wrong in more than one respect. TransUnion provide poor to fair ratings in contrast to excellent from other agencies. I feel TransUnion are disreputable and should not be able to hold and process personal data. Steer clear of them.

Complained to TransUnion as EDF had put a default on my record. Sent transunion all the information proving without doubt the default was incorrect. They asked EDF who said it was correct. So they took their side. Despite all the evidence showing otherwise.
