Ordered Pineapple and Coconut cake for my daughters wedding.
Discussed my requirements with the Manager of the Luton Shop, the cake did not disappoint, tasted lovely and was a big hit at the reception. Would definitely recommend

The cake arrived with no message on it and customer service has been very slow to respond

Superb customer service, incredibly helpful , I messed up my online order and the young gentleman serving saved the day, he even piped a birthday message on the cake. Too good to not leave a review. Will be back soon :)

Worst cake ever had ...We spent 57 pounds on a terrible cake ,No sponge inside only full of cream ,just wondering am i paid 57 pounds for the whipping cream??Please don't order here and ruin your memorable events.I called them and tried to chat with them before placing the order no one responded and wasted 2hours of my time before ordering it.Horrible customer service. I travelled 15 miles to collect this miserable cake.

Walked in served straight away. Ordered the cake I wanted, made while I waited, decorated lovely.
This is the third cake I have got from this place.
Staff are always polite, helpful and attention to detail.
Will definitely buying from here again.

Parking right next to store, so less chance of walking a distance and dropping the cake. Also comes in a very sturdy cake box.

I asked for a recommendation for a chocolate cake for my wife’s birthday, but unfortunately the cake we received had no chocolate taste and no chocolate cream inside. It was extremely disappointing.

We have never had such a bad cake before. It was honestly quite unpleasant, especially considering that it was supposed to be a chocolate cake.

To be completely honest, even the £7 Belgian chocolate cake from Waitrose tastes ten times better and actually contains chocolate.

This was a very disappointing experience, particularly for such an important occasion.

I have been a loyal customer of Cakes and Bakes for a long time and used to consider them the best in London. Unfortunately, my recent experience was a total letdown. The quality just wasn’t there—the sponge was dry and the flavors felt muted compared to the high standard they used to set. It’s sad to see such a great spot lose its touch. I hope they get back to their original recipe soon."

I had ordered a cake for my sister’s birthday from cakes and bakes for a small gathering last weekend. The cake looked amazing and tasted so fresh, everyone was asking whereabouts it was from. The only minor problem was that the delivery was a little later than I expected but it didn’t spoil the party. All in all I'm very pleased with the standard and think that I would probably order again for another special occasion.

I placed an online order on a Saturday for a Monday 3pm collection. I arrived at 3.45 and no cake was there and was told I’d have to wait til 5/5.30pm.
I had travelled from Camden nw1 to southall and no had tried to make contact before hand to alert me to the delay in the cakes arrival. I was quite irritated by this as I had other things to do before other shops closed which were no in the area of the cake shop.

The quality of the cakes is very high, the taste is amazing

Cheesecake. Arrived in time and with the Happy Birthday message on the top. I had lots of positive feedback on the taste of the cake. It was delicious and good value for money. The only thing that could be improved is the lack of customer service and delivery updates. However, the store did get in touch just before it arrived.

We have been loyal customers for a number of years here without any issues. However, today was a completely awful experience. We pre-ordered a red velvet cake and collected it this morning. We have had this before and it has been excellent. For today's birthfay it was uneven, had a very, very thick layer of cream and not much sponge. I had to leave my event to complain about it and the staff member there accused us of lying saying that we ate the cake and asked for a refund. I said it was mostly cream so we had to throw it away so he asked for a photo of our bin which I got my sister to send me. Then he said thats just cream, I'm like obviously because thats what you put in too much off. Thats not how a red velvet cake should be. Then he said to get a refund you need to bring 90% of the cake back. So I'm thinking, its a birthday, we sing happy birthday, cut a slice and then inform our guests that we are going to cakes and bakes to return it. What a ridiculous idea! You have just lost a regular customer, I'll go to Cakebox two doors down now. Unprofessional staff and awful service!!

Update- In response to your reply, the matter should have been resolved on the day when I came to the store. There is no point in resolving it 3 days later when the function is over. Your assistance would have been helpful on the day!
