I'm writing this because I've exhausted…
If someone wants to experience a frustrating mix of bureaucracy and complicated church-related procedures, this is the place to go. I applied for financial aid at BYU High School and encountered what can only be described as a chaotic administrative process. Since I declined an earlier aid offer because it didn’t cover the full tuition, they are now requiring me to get personal approval from the academic chair, just to have my current application reviewed. This is not a standard policy; it feels like a punishment for expecting adequate support. Declining funding that doesn’t meet full tuition is understandable, but creating unnecessary procedural obstacles to penalize students who turned down insufficient aid before is unacceptable. It seems like they are using administrative barriers intentionally to limit access to resources and avoid handling paperwork properly. This approach reflects poorly on how the system operates. The institution needs to address these issues, stop relying on gatekeepers to block applications, and ensure that financial aid requests are processed fairly and efficiently.
