James recently repaired my Nintendo Switch OLED which was suffering from no charging available

He was able to expertly diagnose the issue to both port damage and failed internal charging circuit from me foolishly using a cheap usb to charge it

James diagnosed and completed the repair within a week and at a great value cost.

Highly recommend, James
A total professional

Professional, helpful and first rate.

Quick service. Good value. Excellent communication.

Knowledgeable and friendly service, and really top quality work carried out.

James fixed my PS5 and two controllers quickly and for a great price. I'll be using him again for any issues in the future.

Great service and very quick . I had a ps5 controller repaired and it better than new .

The issue was resolved quickly, and my hardware was up and running. Very friendly, no-nonsense and outlined what to expect. As no one else was around in Bristol to sort my problem out, I am very grateful for the service provided. I hate to see kit going to waste. Highly recommended.

I have asked James at Bytes Free to carry out a number of RetroGem HDMI mods on a number of consoles that I own.

I have been using Bytes Free for several years now, they remain the best in the business and have never said one of my wild ideas was outside of their capabilities, use them with absolute confidence!

Sent my Dreamcast to James because it had a fault with the picture that was causing a green hue on the screen and lots of lag. He went above and beyond to not only diagnose and fix the issue, but to recap the console and power unit and it now works perfectly.

James kept me updated throughout the whole process and when the issue turned out to be more complex than initially anticipated, he gave me costed options, so that i could decide whether i wanted to proceed any further. Payment is made once the work has completed, so you have piece of mind. Once i’d settled the invoice, return postage was quick and the console was well packaged.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use this service again for some of my other consoles.

The communication, service and prices were first class.
