We were looking at a BYD and Truro BYD came highly recommended, we worked with Chicaine who was knowledgeable and always had a good handle on stock nationally. Chicaine always responded very quickly either by email or phone and assisted with every aspect.

My wife and I had a test drive on a BYD Dolphin and after talking to the salesman Mitchell Baggott, we decided to trade in our Honda Jazz for the Dolphin Surf Active. Mitch was very helpful and answered all of my questions which I could think of at the time.
We had agreed to complete the handover on 27 June, unfortunately my new car was not ready, therefore I was given the demonstration car Dolphin surf boost to use for a week.
The specifications for the Boost is different to the Active, I had difficulty in finding the difference in the downloaded manual for the two cars. This is not the fault of the salesmen but of BYD for not producing a separate manual for each car.
I did realise the active didn’t have 360 degree cameras or heated seats, but some attributes were unclear, I found the forward cameras very helpful but not included on the Active, but my biggest bugbear was that the side mirrors did not fold back at all.
I have been driving since 1976 and in my experience the most vulnerable part of a car is the wing mirrors.
Just one other complaint, my wife had difficulty in engaging her seat belt despite only weighing 10 stone, therefore I have bought an extension to the lock.
However I have found the car a delight to drive and would highly recommend it to anyone considering an electric vehicle. Thankyou to Mitch for behing so helpful and doing an excellent job.

Chicaine at Truro was most professional, informative and helpful with our recent purchase of a BYD Atto, with which we are very pleased.
She coped particularly well as a lone worker with multiple drop-ins when handing over our car by appointment.
BYDs are great cars at good prices so it’s going to get busier in Truro. Maybe consider employing more staff but they will have to be as personable and lovely as Chicaine!

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the sale process, going above and beyond to assist me with choosing which car to go for. I dealt with a few different members of the team during my visits to the showroom, but Ryan was a great help in particular throughout the whole process.

I live in London and visited a local dealer to test drive the Atto. Being an EV user for the last 7-8 years, they all pretty much do what they say on the can. Like many other BYD dealers, BYD South West was offering one of their demo models for almost £10k less and was the cheapest from all dealers with a similar spec model.

I ordered my car over the phone with Ryan and placed a deposit, with a to be confirmed delivery date.

Excellent service from both Ryan & Jacob except, I sent 3-4 emails and 3-6 phone calls to try and confirm delivery. To no avail, no email or return phone call It was a Friday eta and I was leaving for a wedding in Venice on Saturday, so was quite anxious to confirm delivery and organise payment.

However, Ryan did as a courtesy take off the delivery fee and Jacob sent the car on the promised date, even though, payment went through the following day.

Thank you guys, my son loves the car, and hopefully, I can get down to the dealership and put faces to names.

All the team at BYD are great really helpful and friendly nothing is too much for them. Yasmin was fantastic during the whole thing and even after handover she rang to ask how things were going and just to pop by or email her if we have any questions which is super helpful. We are very pleased with the car and after being a bit sceptical about going Electric now embrace it completely.

When we first visited for our test drive, we were greeted by Jacob who was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about BYD. On our second test drive, Mitch also shared that passion and ensured he answered all our questions thoroughly. When we finally decided that the BYD ATTO 3 was for us, Ryan also stepped in and supported to save us having to wait. We also received a friendly service from the lady welcoming us into the building.

The initial visit to the showroom and chat with Ruth & Ryan. Ruth subsequently arranged a test drive for me and she accompanied me on the day. Ruth explained as much of the cars functions and high tec as she could during that time. I immediately fell in love with the car. On return to the showroom it took not much time and questions to decide on ordering the car. There was no pressure, just relaxed conversation and both ,Ruth & Ryan ask more than once if i was sure to go ahead with ordering the car. They have a very caring attitude, which I found reassuring and that I was looked after well.
