butters john bee - Estate Agents Longton Anmeldelser 

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Butters John Bee Commercial.
I was interested in renting Unit 39F Duke Street for my car detailing business. I viewed the premises and remained very interested in renting the unit.
After the viewing, I waited for a response for more than two weeks and had to follow up several times. Eventually, I was informed that the landlord had decided to proceed with another party and that their proposal had been accepted.
My main concern is the lack of communication throughout the process. If another offer had been received or the landlord was considering another tenant, I would have expected to be informed much earlier rather than being left waiting.
In my experience, the communication from the agent dealing with my enquiry, Reuben Gittings, was unreliable and the whole process was very disappointing.
I understand that a landlord is free to choose whichever tenant they prefer, and I have no problem with that decision. My criticism is about the way the process and communication were handled.
Based on my experience, I would advise other potential commercial tenants to make sure they receive clear and timely communication before relying on this agency.

So I’m a landlord and wanted to sort something out. The first agent who I talked to informed me to leave it with her and she will get back to me around the 24 hour mark, whilst knowing she will be leaving for annual leave the next day! I had been phoning for a week and trying to chase up with no luck until I had a chat with another agent Abu who not only managed to have my issue sorted the very same day but was considerate and listened to my concerns. He also updated via phone as well as email to ensure I received an update asap. Thank you Abu for all your assistance!

Friday 8/4/22 (10:09 hrs) Phoned to make viewing appointment. I was told call diverted to Concierge/HO as Longton branch didn't answer. Details taken and told Longton will call you back.

No reply

Friday 8/4/22 (13:52 hrs) Phoned to chase up viewing appointment. I was told call diverted to Concierge HO as Longton branch didn't answer. Details taken again and told Longton will call you back again.

No reply (again)

Sat 9/4/22 (16:30 hrs). Left email using the "Contact Us" option on BJB website.

No reply

Mon 11/4/22 (09:38 - Nigel). Called for 3rd time to try to make appointment to view house. Once again call transferred to Concierge/HO (Nigel). Once again told Longton would be in touch shortly.

Current date/time =11/4/22 (14:47) Still no reply to the three phone calls or the email message. Shoddy customer service at best. At worst it is simply
disrespectful and rude.

Summary
I know it is a sellers market at the moment, but that doesn't give you the right to give such poor service to prospective buyers. If you are planning on selling, you may wish to choice a different agent?
