Bus Éireann Anmeldelser 

Extremely hot during to air vents not working in 109X (16.05.25) going from Dublin to Cavan. It's not the first time when this happens. What I've noticed is that Bus Eireann is using Breakdown Maintenance for large issues like engine failure, bearings failure, etc. but for anything else there's no maintenance at all. Them vents are broken for very long time, so people travelling regularly are using their own fans connected through USB ports. Third world.

Why on earth do you keep using the wrong bus for the 101 route, honestly trying to get into/home from work and seeing a sunsundegui on the tracker makes me lose hope I'll ever get on. Either that at peak times or you get on one of the old livery buses speed limited to 60kph in an 80. This is a huge problem if say you cant get on at Balbriggan, in which case you're now 20 mins late or more for work.

Let alone random buses getting cancelled and throwing the entire "timetable" into complete chaos. One day it took me 1 hour 15 mins before I got on, let alone get home. That's 4 buses completely full or cancelled.

Between being constantly late, taking me 3-4 hours daily trying to commute, being harassed and stared at by some weirdo because I'm queer, having to listen to drunk loud people, and all of the other nonsense I have never had a better reason to get a license, so I never have to deal with this "service" again. Hopefully I get it soon.

I’ve gotten bus eireann for years as their prices are alot more reasonable for a young adult compared to the Matthews but with reasonable pricing comes unreliability in following timetables. You get two scenario's with these guys, either it’s late about 10-15 minutes or they leave before the allocated time to depart. At that point you’re better off getting the Matthews for the extra bit of money. Bus drivers is another concern of mine as it’s a mixed bag, they’re either extremely nice or the rudest people ever (I don’t need to be treated like royalty I just appreciate civility)

Absolute pricks
I forgot leapcard on my way home from school (90cent bus fare) and one of the pricks driving it wouldn’t let me on considering that was my first time in two years forgetting my leapcard

Here are the facts:
- Timetable and live tracker showed the bus to exist and be on time.
- No sign of bus after 30 minutes, so I checked for service disruptions on their website. Route 55 was not listed.
- I called customer service to be told that the bus is not running. I asked why, and if I could speak to a supervisor. I was told that this was all the information they had and could provide.

I missed my appointment. A dreadful service.

Just on the bus 40 from Cork to Tralee at 13:30 on Friday 02/05/25.. Driver was very helpful, friendly and a credit to Bus Eireann... His name is Joe.. Thanks Joe for a great trip.

Couldn’t say all the drivers are not good but one man when I came with my husband and baby from bray , two times he was insulted us in front of other passengers in a very rude way.Our happiness throughout the day became spoiled at that moment.

I don’t write reviews but when a company causes multiple hour long disruptions in my day and causing me to miss absolutely everything I had to get done, I had to. I had quite the mile to make today, starting from Enniscorthy to Carlow, I was on a tight timer, but if the timetables are even close to correct I would’ve made it, but the bus driver took the scenic route causing me to miss my one train I could’ve taken, so as a backup I decided to see if there are any buses that might head to Kilkenny from Carlow, and unfortunately I was given the beautiful Bus eireann service as my only choice, google showed me a route that even their own website didn’t possess, so that was a great start, I even decided to call the company to make sure I’m not having a schizophrenic episode, but according to them it sure exists, so I made the cross town treck to the college and awaited the 73 bus, which actually did exist, as I watched it blow past me, the only person standing in the bus stop, and believe it or not I do not live under that little awning so maybe they would’ve concluded I might want to go someplace, but no, gone like the wind, I paid for 3 tickets today, and only got to make it to one, which was luckily not with this company. Whoever was taking care of going from Carlow to Kilkenny today at 5:22 may need a co driver with a pair of binoculars.

Tonight at bus aras myself & my sister were hoping to get the 2230 bus to Drogheda from Bus Aras, we didn't have the full cash amount to travel to Drogheda, (the shop in bus aras was closed, so we had no way of getting change), a lovely man called Shay (supervisor) allowed us to travel with the cash amount we had. Thank you so much Shay, you are a gentleman of the highest order, we are feeling so grateful, up the dubs😊x

Very rude bus driver me and my friends where in Killarney and where getting the route 40 bus home, we got on bus (which was late) and asked for a ticket he then tells us we have to pay inside with w very rude tone, we go inside but there is only tickets for 18:30 and later (we wanted one for the 16:30) so we went back out to ask if it’s ok that we purchase the 18:30 one becaue there the same price he says yes (once again with a rude tone) and tells us to hurry up because we are holding up the bus (he was late already anyway not my fault) the 5 of us buy our tickets (separately) when 3 of us out of 5 are after paying for our tickets the three of us get on the bus because he told us we are not aloud wait for our friends which is fine but he was just very rude the whole time, anyway my 2 other friends who still had not got a ticket where struggling to buy one becaue the machine stopped working and the bus driver gave out and said it was there fault it was broken he then said he’s going to the bathroom and was gone for 5 min, he came back and they finally got the tickets. My friends informed me that he was giving out about the five of us to them he said we where stupid and had no commen sense and that we should have got a ticket online we said that it was our FIRST TIME on a bus and we where sorry he said we still should have know (even tho it doesn’t say anywhere you have to pay online) he was also giving out about the fact we had cash and said no one uses cash nowadays (obviously people do becaue we where ) and I saw others with cash I don’t know his name but here is some info so ye can find out who he is it was the route 40 bus at half four pm on Thursday the 24th of April 2025. I would also like to add that we are all minors who where just trying to get home. we felt scared of him at some points when he was very rude. Never been more disappointed.

ridiculous service run by absolute clowns. i use the 168 route. about six buses come a day, most of the time either 30 mins late or missing. buses are vile to ride in and uncomfortable. for a 40 minuite journey they still use short range buses. loud, stuffed and hot. date of experience not need because this happenes every single day

Worst of the worst bus in the world!!!!! If there is only -5 rate i would happy to do it! 😡😡😡

Uch I don’t even know what to say. The buses in Ireland are diabolical. With no facilities and a sporadic service,from moody bus drivers to skipping toilet break stops and the drive going on for hours with no toilet or way to get refreshments it’s hideous.

Wel me and my freind go on the bus he made me throw my juicy gorge slushy in the bin then he wouldn’t let us on the bus that fat ginger prick then we got at a spot and he told us sorry no he screamed at us 3times to get of the bus and pay for another one so I will never ride on bus Erin again cos of that fat ugly ginger prick he also wore a pair of black glasses and his redge was 241-s0-914

I live in a small town so it's safe to say people rely on these buses quite alot. There are only 4 times it goes per day which is not enough and when they're delayed/cancelled you won't know for sure because even the "real time" section on their app says the bus departed and you can "live track" it which is bs. I text the bus eireann twitter quite alot to make sure that buses are running and they leave me on read for ages?? Do better.

The worst transport service in the history of civilisation. I have had more punctual transport in third world countries.

Where do start the bus station I suppose
There is no information desk can't buy tickets with a cashier get any sort of information unless you google.
I got on a bus waterford to cork and thier were no tiolet nearly needed new kidneys
After that experience I was told all the buses are the same.the timetable is not accurate so if your travelling make a least a half hour add on time for your destination better off on a train oh that's right we Don't have trains direct from waterford to cork it some shit show.i
