Stay away from this company. I gave them 6 books for them to format for me so that I could upload to Amazon. Six months later they still have not formatted my books properly. They have no clue that they are doing and when you ask them to do one thing they take it on their selves to change something else. They just make things worse. Im having to take my projects away from them and give them to someone else. My financial loss, it’s a hard lesson to learn.

Brooklyn was great with me as a first time Author. I am very satisfied with the end product. I didn't understand why i had so many different project managers. I personally had trouble with the teams accents, being from the midwest it was hard to understand, but everyone was patient as things were explained to me. My experience with Brooklyn Ghostwriting has been one of deep care and concern for making sure my story is written in the same light as if I had written it myself.

As an entrepreneur, I felt that writing a book would help me become known as an authority in my profession. But I just didn't have the time. Brooklyn ghostwriting did everything: writing, publishing... Their team handled it all professionally.

I hired Brooklyn Ghostwriting in October 2024 to build a website and market my book. As part of the agreement, they guaranteed the sale of 350 books over a four-month contract.

At the end of four months, nothing meaningful had been delivered. The website work was incomplete, and there was no evidence of real marketing or book sales activity.

Believing the situation might improve, I extended the relationship through October 2025. Unfortunately, the outcome was the same. Deadlines passed, deliverables were missed, and progress was minimal to nonexistent. When a new contract was proposed with added “perks,” I gave them one final opportunity. Again, no meaningful work was completed.

The most frustrating part of this experience was communication. Emails and messages routinely went unanswered for long stretches. However, when it came time to upsell additional services, communication suddenly became prompt and persistent. This happened multiple times over the course of our year-plus relationship.

Ultimately, I was able to recover my payments only by filing a credit card dispute. While I did get my money back, the time and effort lost—reviewing drafts, following up repeatedly, and managing a situation that should never have required this level of oversight—was significant.

I am sharing this review so other authors can make an informed decision. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering Brooklyn Ghostwriting to get everything in writing, be skeptical of guaranteed sales claims, and understand that you may need to pursue refunds through your credit card company rather than the firm itself.

I was promised a full team of experienced writers and complete book support, but only one mid level writer ever worked on my project — something the company later admitted to me in writing.

From day one, I faced constant upselling, including extremely overpriced “a-la-carte” services like ISBN registration, marketing, and Amazon setup costing thousands of dollars before the book was even written.

I ultimately paid an additional upgrade fee, tripling my original cost, to access the “senior team” I was promised. That team never existed, and the writing quality barely improved. I ended up rewriting the manuscript myself.

Be aware of:
• Claims of large writing “teams” that do not exist
• Aggressive, high-priced upselling from the start
• Paying significant upgrade fees for services not delivered

I strongly recommend choosing a more transparent and reputable provider.

Brooklyn Ghostwriting is a swindle and rip-off company, in regards to their book marketing.

I am a published author who required marketing for one of my books.

I signed an agreement with Jay Davis, convinced by his sales pitch and falsehoods that Brooklyn Ghostwriting was an honest company.

Nothing could have been further from the truth.

Brooklyn Ghostwriting utterly and completely failed in the marketing campaign for my book. That is not why I am giving them the lowest rating I possibly can. Failure can occur in life. However, honesty is most important.

Considering that failure could occur, I explained to Jay Davis that I was a simple author and could not afford to hire his company unless a modest ROI ratio was guaranteed by the contract.

Jay Davis accepted the terms.

I hired Brooklyn Ghostwriting and it was the worst decision I could’ve made.

Within a week (no exaggeration) Jay Davis quit the project and disappeared.

Another project manager was assigned. Then another.

Five project managers, in all, were assigned to the failed project.

It was a horrible experience and the ROI book sale numbers we had agreed on were not even close to being achieved.

When the time line that was agreed on by the contract was reached, I exercised my option to terminate the agreement and requested my money back, per the guarantee.

No. In the contrary, they did not honor their word.

The editing team at this company saved my work when I was having a hard time getting it in shape. They provided helpful feedback and helped me improve my writing. The publishing process was also quite straightforward. They managed every aspect of the process on my behalf. My book now has the feel and appearance of a genuine one!
