I have had the pleasure of dealing with David Falardeau for over 25 years with my house and car insurance. I couldn't ask for a better go to person. I know that I can reach out to him at anytime with any questions. I recently was in the process of purchasing a car and was unsure on buying brand new or used. He was amazing with all the questions I had and was quoting me the difference in pricing for the vehicles. I would definitely suggest working with David. Massive shout out to Desiree from the Alberta service team! I spoke with many advisors at Brokerlink and Desiree was the only one who went out of his way to help bring my insurance rate down considerably. He spent almost two hours on the phone with me trying to help me out and I could not thank him enough. Please give Desiree a raise and lots of vacation time, he deserves it :)

I don’t recommend this company to any one !! The customer serves it is so bad I have so many problems with their customer services specially with Toronto office and Kitchener office.I had ask for shopping lower insurance rates I guy from north bay he give me lower insurance rates and he say I can call in again soon I see the rates to my email . I call in and they start bouncing me around from city to city and they telling me the guy he give me the rates he will talk to me and I never got that phone call! I had some lady from Kitchener yawning to my ear non stop . And she say the guy from north bay will call you . This was a game and they don’t want to give me the lower rates insurance because they make more money with higher rates . I let this year go but next year I won’t go with this garbage customer service broker link.I don’t have any accidents or any tickets and my insurance.I was given code for my renting apartment 2 thousand dollars a year 😂😂can you imagine his garbage customer serves they have. I call my self the insurance company and they give me code $ 500 dollars not 2 thousand dollars. Place people don't get insurance from this company you will regret it. I start calling them for weeks to get that lower rates insurance and I never got that insurance! I ask from the company manager or who is the higher in the company to complain and I navel got that phone call! Go figure what garbage company it is!

Leanne Brennan, who works in the Perth office, is very knowledgable, truly cares about meeting the customers needs. Very polite, comfortable to talk to, excellent at her job.

Don't use this company I. I told them to cancel my insurance the day it come up . As was sell vechile was plan or if not I'd insure later . After a month intact say
I'd I owed them for no payment and sent a registered letter to pay 35 and 87 dollars for total 122 . Need less to say Brookline started bugging me for it . That's the only time they started calling . They did not do there job so intact is after money with them from me . There rates I found are high could be never get return emails or reach on phone . Really they should be shut down

Nancy Gupta was such a great agent in helping me set up my first insurance it was quick and easy. And she has great customer service skills .

Christine McChristie is the absolute best! My partner and I had worked with her last fall and she did an excellent job then, so I thought I would contact her for my truck and camper acquisition. From my first call to her about the truck and camper she was very helpful and communicated very well. I would recommend Christine anytime!

I'm trying to get quotes from others. I choose Brokerlink and boy am I disappointed !!! SO because I wanted a quote start date of 1.5 months away, Shilo mentioned I would have to redo a quote request that is closer to the date, because of the fluctuation of the market. So then I said ok well do it for one month away (I just wanted to see a price, it would still be close, right?) Well, SHE HUNG UP on me !!! What would it matter if I had double vehicle insurance for one month, SMDH !! VERY RUDE PEOPLE !!!! Don't Go HERE!!!

It is rare that I ever feel the need to leave a poor review, but Brokerlink insurance is unbelievably bad and I don’t want anyone to have to go through them when there are much better options. I have used them for years for acupuncture insurance. Their forms are outdated and they never change them. It’s also impossible to get someone to get back to you. Thank goodness though, as I just got a quote from Zensurance for half of what I was paying.

Is BrokerLink MAXIMIZING COMMISSIONS and PROFITS at the expense of the policyholder?

I am writing to express 2 concerns.
1. PENALTIES that occur when trying to receive a better deal on car insurance.
2. NON-COMPLIANCE with the Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) which state that a broker must act with "honesty and integrity" and provide the "best value" to the client"

An increase of $150 dollars a month for car insurance.

I expected BrokerLink to proactively source competitive rates that reflect my low-risk profile prior to my yearly renewal.
I continue to drive my 2015 vehicle which I only paid $23,000 with tax. I have not had even a fender bender in more than 13 yrs, I have no tickets, no other person on my policy, and I am between the ages of 50 and 60yrs of age. My deductible is $1000 dollars, I have not moved out of my safe neighborhood and despite a minimal commute of 40km per week, my premium has increased to $392 dollars per month.
I was surprised to see my premiums have increased approximately $150 per month within a 24-month period.
While the representative I spoke with was professional and courteous, he was unable to provide any detailed explanation of the factors driving the increased adjustment.

Unnecessary penalties due to Brokers failure in duty

During my conversation with the representative, it was disclosed that my monthly premium could be reduced from 392.00 to 305.00 per month; however, this reduction was made contingent upon a payment of 784 dollars!!!!!!!
How is that acceptable?
This suggests that a lower premium was available prior to my renewal, yet was not proactively offered.
As a low-risk policyholder, I expect my broker to secure the most favorable terms as part of their standard DUE DILIGENCE.

I guess my broker did not act with "honesty and integrity" to provide me with the best policy.

Lessons Learned
Through this unfortunate experience, I have learned the importance of personal advocacy.
While a broker has a FIDUCIARY DUTY to provide the best market rates, I've realized that I should initiate a manual policy review at least 30 days before my policy is up for renewal

I hope my experience helps other policyholders. After 15 yrs with the same brokerage, I learned that loyalty does not always equal proactive services.

They auto renewed my policy with their parent company, Intact insurance, with a 50% increase and without using any of my criteria. Then they want like $1,000 to cancel. Seems like unethical business practices between them and the parent company. Avoid both of these horrible companies at all costs.

I called BrokerLink looking for home insurance. The broker I dealt with was rude and condescending. She had a policy that was ready to put into effect, but I was called away for a family emergency and told her I was not able to proceed with the policy and would not be able to sign it. She still bound it, and now I continue to get emails saying I owe money for a policy I told her I could not proceed with. They are a scam and trying to prey on people's vulnerabilities

Julie has been awesome. We recently had our truck burn and was deemed unable to be salvage. Julie helped us to get in touch with the right agents for a speedy resolution. She has always been available when we needed her. Recently she worked thru her lunch hour to make sure our insurance on the new truck reached the out of town dealership quickly so there would be no delay in shipping it to us. People like Julie are hard ro find these days!

The representative who helped me, Gurpreet Kaur, was very helpful. We had just moved b/c of health issues and were juggling a ton of things. She was patient and kind. She obtained the best price for us to our great relief.. We would recommend her and Brokerlink to friends and family.

After 20 years with BrokerLink (formerly Access Insurance), the service has become terrible. Local support has been replaced by centralized staff who offer little guidance and take no accountability. Dealing with them now feels no different than talking to an online robot.

Communication is poor, documents are often sent through confusing DocuSign emails that look like spam, and delays are frequently blamed on the customer.

Be warned: BrokerLink records their calls but will not review those recordings with customers when problems arise. Record your own calls, because their recordings are not available to you.

Extremely disappointing decline in service.

Brokerlink is the worst company to deal with. They have no proper agents to assist you when something goes wrong. Their call centre is the worst. You can never get the same agent twice. Always someone new when you call in. Noone really cares about you or the situation you are in. It's all a numbers game. Better to find an insurance broker that has live agents to help you. Brokerlink is all over canada and like I said the worst customer service. Every time you call you have to explain yourself over and over with no resolution.

The agent, Nancy Willett was very good. She was extremely helpful in finding me new condo insurance, explaining things well as we went along.
