This was my first time booking with Boutique Travel Experts and my experience was great! From the moment I reached out to Elena, she was open to hearing what I wanted to see/visit during my first visit to Brazil and worked within my budget. Communication was excellent and the guides/drivers she provided were all professional and very kind. I would definitely recommend booking with Boutique Travel Experts!

Our experience was fantastic! Our tour took us on fully organised, incredible day trips to lagoons, dunes and beaches. All travelling was organised by boutique travel, food recommendations were given in depth and accommodation was booked and of a high quality.

Elena was absolutely fabulous! She planed an amazing 10 day trip through the Route of Emotions. Each stop and stay was exciting, curated and very well coordinated. When my boyfriend and I were looking to do this trip through Northern Brazil, we initially thought we could plan it ourselves. After reading the reviews on Elena’s trips we decided going with her was the easier choice. After completing the trip, we laughed at even thinking we could do this alone. Elena’s masterful planning allowed us to have an amazing adventure without having to worry about a single logistic. Not only did she make everything possible, she truly made the experience unforgettable.

Madagascar has been a trip we’ve dreamed of doing for years, so for my wife’s 40th birthday we finally decided to make it happen — and booked through Boutique Travel Experts. It turned out to be one of the best holidays we’ve ever had.

I’d already done quite a lot of research and knew some of the places and experiences we wanted to include. I shared these with Elena, and from the outset she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and insightful. She put together an amazing itinerary for us and happily tweaked things along the way until it was exactly what we wanted.

We travelled as a family of four — my wife and I, our 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son — and the whole experience was phenomenal. Our local guide, Kiki, was absolutely brilliant, as were all of our drivers. The excursions and places we visited were unbelievable, and some of the villas and accommodation, particularly at the beginning and end of the trip, were among the best we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely stunning.

Elena’s communication throughout was first class: incredibly responsive, full of great suggestions and always happy to help. Even while we were in Madagascar, when we decided we wanted to change one of our hotels simply because it wasn’t quite right for the children, it was sorted with absolutely no trouble.

On top of all that, the price was significantly better than every other company I had researched or contacted, without compromising on the quality of the trip in any way.

I genuinely cannot fault our experience with Boutique Travel Experts. They helped turn a trip we’d been dreaming about for years into an unforgettable family holiday and a very special 40th birthday celebration.

​I've just come back from 2 weeks in Colombia, organised by Boutique Travel Experts, what a trip !!! Elena put me in touch with her Colombia-based business partner, Isabella, who was equally AMAZING.

I gave her a list of the 4 key locations I most wanted to visit and she selected some gorgeous lodges, with beautiful vibes (very boutique feel indeed) and I was in fabulous locations everywhere. She was always willing to listen and tweak things further if I made additional suggestions.

My main reason for visiting Colombia was to see Cano Cristales (often dubbed 'The Most Beautiful River in the World') but I didn't realise that the only airline that flies there (Satena) doesn't allow more than 15kgs of luggage max. This could have been an issue because I had arrived from the UK with 18gs of checked luggage and 8kgs of cabin luggage ! Ooops.

Isabella kindly offered to keep my bigger suitcase at her own place, to ensure that it'd be safe (this was "just in case" the airport staff in charge of the lockers was not trustworthy). She then brought it back to the airport, 4 days later, whilst I was in transit in Bogota. I mean: wow, talk about going the extra mile !!! That's true dedication. As such, I could enjoy my 4 days in this exquisite region, with total peace of mind.

Then, 4 days later, when I visited the villages on stilts in la Cienega, near Santa Marta, I picked up some germs from the welcome drink (not filtered enough for tourists I suspect), and I was in NO fit state to transfer to Cartagena by car at 9am the next day, as planned. I told Isabella I was too ill still and she pushed back the departure time to noon.

She then reminded me that a health insurance *was* included in my package (truth be known I had not even noticed this because 95% of the time, I never get ill). But what a godsend this was !!! I checked into my hotel in Cartagena 6 hours later and soon after I had a visit from a doctor and a nurse who came to my room (equipped with Google Translate !). They gave me a jab so that I'd stop vomiting and prescribed some meds that the hotel staff went to buy for me. And, guess what ? I didn't even pay a penny !!! N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Isabella just gave the hotel staff a code to log on their system and that was it ;)

Honestly, that kind of service is invaluable. The trip wasn't cheap (but I always prefer Private to Group tours for this reason ~ you can be SO much more flexible when things go wrong) but when you are so ill that you can hardly move, the thought of going to a local hospital and potentially waiting hours to be seen felt nightmarish. Having the doctor come TO ME instead, felt like a total luxury and Isabella took care of everything so that it'd be happen smoothly and quickly. 5* service.

Considering how many travel insurances refuse claims these days, the thought of NOT needing to submit a claim for medical expenses on my return to the UK was even sweeter...

I need to add as well that at no point did I feel unsafe in the whole country, as the local guides that Isabella selected were superb and took really good care of me (carrying my bags so that I'd have my hands free to take loads of photos) - and what a photogenic country it is too !

It was truly a blast and I am SO grateful to Elena for setting up this wonderful agency ~ the only one that I could find that would take me to my Bucket List item. I know that she spends a lot of time selecting her local contacts and it showed. Isabella was really professional and always responded to my WhatsApp messages very promptly.

We were assisted in our trip to Brazil in February 2026. Brazil is a huge and fascinating country, but is focused mainly on tourism from South America, and they do not seem to be well geared towards English speaking tourists. This, of course, can be a huge problem. For a large part of our trip we were with Brazilian family, so it was not a problem. However, we wanted to see the Amazon rainforest, and getting information and advice was very difficult until we stumbled across Elena on the Internet. She was great. All her arrangements were completely seamless. She arranged great English speaking guides, and gave us excellent advice about personalised day tours in Manaus and Sao Paolo. The trip in the Amazon was, at our request, on a river boat. There were actually very few tourists when we went, so we ended up as the only couple on a boat with 8 berths. This gave us a totally personalised experience, with brilliant food and a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide. Before finding her, we were stuck. There are a number of small companies offering cruises, but we really had no way of judging what we would be letting ourselves in for. Although the boat we were on was pretty basic, it was very comfortable, and having searched quite extensively, I am sure that it was the best available. For a variety of very good reasons, large river boats are not an option there, unless you are willing to sleep in hammocks - which we weren't. So all in all, we ended up with a great experience following her advice and letting her make the arrangements. I would happily trust her to make all my land arrangements for me for any future trips to Brazil.

Elena worked hard to tailor our 2 week holiday to Brazil to exactly what we wanted, finding fantastic guides and great places to stay with warm hospitality. We wanted a mix of birdwatching /nature, specialty coffee and city time and she found it all, with English-speaking guides. We had an amazing holiday and it was a great way to start to discover a beautiful country.

We planned this trip very late, I had contacted a few travel agencies to organize it, but most said it was too late to organize but Elena from Boutique Travel Experts managed to organize it. She managed to organize everything in a matter of days, very professional, responsive on WhatsApp, and of course super knowledgeable of the region we wanted to tour.
Everything was organized to the perfection, great local guide, special thanks to David (our private guide) who was with us for the whole 9 days. Hotels and activities were amazing and diverse... 4X4 in the desert, Night Safari boating in the Delta, buggies on the Beach, Quad, and so much more.
I highly recommend and will ask them to organize my next trip if it is one of the destinations they cover.

From the beginning when we started planning the trip, Elena was amazing, responsive and professional ❤️everything was perfect, the logistics that were very difficult went smoothly, the hotels were amazing as promised, the trips were the best, the guides were amazing and the whatsapp group was great , everything we needed was immediately responded. I have long wanted to return to Brazil, to visit indigenous villages. In the past, this has been difficult and bureaucratic to say the least. My first contact with Elena was to enquire about a stay at the Xingu Lodge on the Upper Rio Xingu. Elena got back to me with the relevant details very quickly. The cost of my idea was brutal for a solo traveller. This led to a different plan, to visit the Tukano and Baniwa people from a base in Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira and to attend an indigenous festival, the Aledia Multiethnica in the Chapada Veadeiros, near Brasilia. These were Elena's ideas and she had the network of guides on the ground to make it all work. I was deeply impressed! This experience was topped and tailed by a stay in Sao Luis to experience the Bumba Mei Boi festival and a flop on the beach in Rio at the end. All perfectly scheduled and organised by Elena

It's like a jigsaw puzzle that Elena joins together. She is always available for advice and support once you have booked your trip and the arrangements she puts in place really do work on the ground. The different pieces fit together seamlessly thanks to Elena's attention to detail and superior planning skills. I had a great time in "off the beaten track" Brazil and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boutique Travel Experts to help plan and book a trip.

They had a lot of good suggestions for things to do and see in Brazil. Our accommodations were good. The tours in Rio were interesting and good. Our Rio driver was excellent. The airport pickups in Sao Paulo were not quite as expected, but they worked out fine. All in all, Boutique Travel Experts did a nice job.
