Not user friendly, I cain't find the book I started, I can't figure out how many books I can do in a day. Frustrating.

I initially had a problem accessing the software after completing my payment. However, the BookyAI support team responded and fixed the issue within a few hours.

I originally bought BookyAI through a Facebook ad because I wanted to break something—I wanted to test the limits of my older computers (an RTX 2060 and 3070) and of the 4070 I borrowed from my boyfriend. I also secretly wondered if the hype around longform book writing with AI is overrated or not. TLDR: I would 100% recommend this software!

Main reasons:
No Suffocating Credit Systems: Their software completely frees you from the restrictive, pay-per-word credit models that dominate other AI writing platforms.

Ultimate Flexibility: You are not locked into a closed ecosystem. You can hook the software directly into your own local Ollama instance, OpenRouter, or direct API keys for Claude, Gemini, Grok, and OpenAI. I ran an entire 30-chapter novel locally without paying a cent in API fees.

Lightning-Fast Support: The software is actively evolving with regular, meaningful updates. When I ran into an incomplete-generation/chapter truncation timeout bug during my stress tests, their development team was incredibly responsive and deployed a patch to squash the bug within 24 hours.

Clean Narrative Control: The interface relies on standard, easy-to-use dropdowns that make it simple to lock in your Genre (like Cozy Fantasy), Target Audience, Tone, Writing Style, and Narration. It also handles chapter pipelines and back-matter generation seamlessly. You can also write in your own voice (and almost every other field), and they just added the ability to add book series, book and series "bibles", consistent characters, and more features that I have not yet played with.

This software works great "out of the box" for the less tech oriented people, and is a tinkerer's dream if you want to use and customize the other features. BookyAI has too many awesome features to remark on here!

If you want total flexibility and control over your writing pipeline without being nickel-and-dimed by commercial APIs, this is exactly the tool you need.

First, I was suspicious of paying for a scam. But to my great relief, it was not! After a hiccup with the API key it all went well, and so far I tried the same prompt with different settings just to see the differences. Fun! It really is fun! Easily customizable and it let me incorporate stories I had started years ago and never finished. I don't -have- to accept what the AI writes. I can just take the ideas it gives me when I get stuck, or I can let it write me a whole book when I get bored for something new to read! The possibilities are endless...

I bought Booky months ago and would like to briefly share my experience. At first, I noticed a few important features were missing, such as an expanded legal notice, but those issues were all quickly resolved. Booky is one of the best software tools for efficiently creating books for Amazon, and I’ve tested just about everything out there. I highly recommend Booky and its team—try it out for yourself; you’ll be thrilled.

This is such an amazing product. It doesn't matter whether you need help creating a full manuscript or want to format your existing work. You can ask the program to create a cover for you or bring in your own. They release updates and upgrades weekly!

I highly appreciate the time and effort that was put into this project and application BookyAI is helpful, formal, and informative. The staff are on call to help when they are able, they are polite and kind and willing to help. If anyone tells you this is a scam, they are lying. The BookyAI is new and needs time to develop and grow. I trust it and will continue to give it a chance.

Quick turnaround and instructive guide on how to resolve issue.

I had grievances about the products that I purchased. I connected with them, and they did the needful, which I feel was the best thing they could have ever done to keep their customers happy. They'll go a long way with this kind of culture and ethics.

I purchased the product along with the ghost writer license and one other bonus. I received the welcome email with the link to access the platform. More than 48 hours later the system does not recognize my email address. I tried to enter a support ticket, but that requires the email address their system doesn't recognize. I've emailed twice for help and haven't gotten a reply. As of now, I have no way to request a refund as all contact methods either require the email I signed up with (that they don't recognize) or are autoresponders from boxes that do not get read. So far, customer service is non-existent. It's actually kind of bonkers that I'm filling out this review from an email they sent me to solicit a review lol

So far I love this application and I am enjoying writing books that I believe are important and critical for this time in history. Thank you for giving us this tool to help create/produce masterpieces for the world to read and hear.

OK, I have to admit, after 4 months of constant barrage of ads on Facebook, I signed up.
Quite frankly, I find this cumbersome and clunky to use, with a lot of things that could be automated. I purchased 4 modules and still wonder what I bought. I just found a video on how to set up my bookstore. The download simply brought me to one book. I have hesitated to do more since it is so cumbersome. I am a writer, not a techie, and I'd hoped everything I needed would be in one place, so I wouldn't have to spend time searching for a simple how-to for each task at the outset. I would have been happier to leave a Trustpilot review. To be honest, I have not tried support. I will continue to struggle when I have the time and capacity to learn this, but I have a book from another app to get to Amazon. I am a little disappointed; I had high hopes.

The company is very responsive to suggestions and they suggest workarounds when the software doesn't provide a ready answer to a problem. I am very satisfied with tech support and the program as a whole. Well done!

i purchased the BookyAI app from a facebook ad and ive been using it for the last 2 weeks pretty much non stop although im only using local models my local models are designed specifically for long form story book writing. The support team have been great and the updates come almost daily which is great as it shows the team behind BookyAI are really trying to make a great app and they also take suggustions from the users which is rare these days and i really hope they continue

They respond quickly to your support questions. I had a small problem with a billing question. Alexander solved the problem in less than five minutes.

I wasn't impressed at first. I got on a chat complaining to their chat support (it's AI but helpful). It tried to help me, but there was one thing that was really irking me in the app. It said, "If that's a deal breaker I can just refund you." I asked if they intended to fix it and it said yes but he wasn't sure how soon. Honest answer. I figured for the low price for unlimited books I'd hang in there, because it did show some promise but it needed some work.

I posted on their roadmap/wishlist board, requesting 4 different features. They implemented them all, one within 12 hours. They've been posting updates nearly every day, bug fixes, new features, etc., actually two updates on 9-1. I made another suggestion on the roadmap/wishlist yesterday, it's already listed as "In Progress."

BookyAI keeps getting better. I'm glad I didn't back out of the deal. I've cranked out 5 pretty good books (and one reject, lol). There are now 10 custom ePub styles and a design your own option. That alone is worth the cost.

It's not perfect, but they're on it for sure. I paid way more for 3 other apps, one of which was a total rip, the other wasn't impressive. Even the good one can't export as well crafted ePubs as BookAI.

The reason for the 5-stars is simple. Though the app needs some improvement, they're tweaking it daily. They take suggestions and run with them, implementing them faster than any developer I have ever encountered.

UPDATE: To date, I have posted 15 requests for features, improvements and a couple of bugs (most of which were caused by my requests being fulfilled), and only one remains to be implemented.

from day one the support is super responsive and the software is super easy to use. it generate books like a wizard. I am so happy it saves my tons of time. i created 15 books within a day which was not that easy before. I don't need to formate. everything is automated.

I hope it allows users to directly post on KPD and automate the listing process using this software. Thanks alot.

To be honest after 2 or 3 days i requested a refund and all i had was the run around with ai telling me thet submitted a ticket went on for days and i was pulling my hair out. I thought reporting them to uk authorities and contacting my bank for a refund . Something made me hesitate and i though to hell with this lets try working it and produced a couple of books but then realised the images were pay walled, but none the less i carried on AND i produced a few more books paid for image generation and carried on .WELL HERE I AM 72 BOOKS LATER. and realise if you perservere it works i have 72 books on kdp and last month had 1800 plus views . I am over the moon I didnt get refund and I will say this clearly it is one of the Best prog. I use and i got them all from videoexpress to who knows what . i will give them 100 out of 100 No question
