One month later and still not recieved order. Constant marketing emails during this time which are jarring when they cannot even send the one order you have paid for! Having complained a week ago, they responded to say the order has been despached. Today I have another email to say books are still with sender. Waste of time- avoid!

I ordered two book bundles from this company via an advert in a newspaper. Over three weeks on and there’s still no sign of my books. I have contacted the retailer by phone on three occasions, but they’ve been unable to provide any useful updates on delivery timescales. I’m not sure whether this is a bogus company, but I would not recommend them . I have requested a refund from my credit card provider .

Useless. Avoid at all costs. Order confirmation suggested delivery in 7 to 10 days. Now 15 days, and no updates, no way to track delivery and definitely no sign of any books. Seems like a good way to earn lots of interest. Collect peoples money and keep it in the bank and delay shipping goods. The overall Trustpilot review score of 2 is a compliment considering they are a sh*t company.

They offer books then don’t keep to their delivery dates or have the courtesy to notify you. Their customer service is rubbish

10 days after order no books - was told they were still waiting for delivery of some of the items - cancelled order, no refund received - wish I'd read reviews first!!

Spent £70 on my first order for dad’s Xmas and 90th birthday. Ordered 10/12/24. Heard nothing rang twice and told some books not in stock? Asked if they could send the ones in stock but nothing came. Called again spoke to Charlie 1st week of new yr said they would refund out of stock items and send asap. Received only half the order 15/1/25. Had to call again as still no refund surprisingly Sandy has just refunded me today but I am still waiting for more books. Really poor, no service or apology. Would not use them again. Didn’t arrive for Xmas or my dad’s 90th birthday.

i ordered 14 books. after several weeks eventually got 10. apparently sold out. strange that couple weeks later the missing books on offer again. waited a while and ordered 15 books about 7 working days ago. today told one book unavailable. in 3 days time supposed to get delivery of the rest i am not holding my breath. i havetried a co called awesome. so far they appear to respond quickly AND FIRST ORDER APPEARED VERY QUICKLY. not sure whether to continue ordering frombookhound . they are not as good as they used to be. previous ordernwas for i think 15 books and eventually got 10. did geta refund.. not helpful if younwant the books.

I’ve waited nearly 3 weeks for an order. I’ve phoned twice to be told that ‘some’ of the books I’ve ordered are not in stock. When I phoned back a week later, they’re still not in stock. How can a company sell something that they haven’t got. I was told they would be here for Xmas! I don’t want them for Xmas I wanted them for my housebound mother to keep her entertained now! I’m raging!

Took 26 days for books to arrive ordered 6 books 1 normal size book and 5 miniature books that are hard to read won’t be ordering from them again not cheap can buy books in supermarket for £3 or £4 pound normal size

Placed order in early July, told me that they had had problems with stock hence missing 10 day delivery. Still waiting, no books !!

My mum phoned their customer service line after they took money from her account for 2 months running without sending any books - she spoke to a very unhelpful female called Bobby - due to her rude and rather officious attitude my mum has cancelled her subscription and would definitely not recommend them.

On 29 Jan I ordered the winter fiction bundle for my elderly mother, who was paying for them. I waited the 10 working days stated in their email but the books didn’t arrive. I emailed Bookhound on 15 Feb, they advised the books had been returned to then due to no access, they said they would re send the books which was confirmed in an email the following day. I waited a further 10 working days but the books didn’t arrive. I emailed Bookhound again on 2 March asking when the books would be delivered, or my money back if they couldn’t fulfil my order, this time they said they were moving to a new warehouse which was taking longer than expected and my order hadn’t been dispatched. They advised me they were expecting orders to be dispatched the following week but as I had waited so long they would refund my money but still send the books. I’ve waited a further 10 working days and…. No books!! I did however receive my refund so I was able to give this back to my mum.

Very pleased with two bundles and prompt service. I would order more but find that bundles do tend to "overlap".

Really disappointed. Ordered a bundle of books really looking forward to receiving them. Unfortunately after 10 days not received. Sent email. Replied saying, sorry for the delay we have been waiting for restocking. Pleased 6 inform you. We have now handed your purchase to Royal mail on 8th October. Waited until the 18th. Emailed again told them not received. Asked for a refund. Only wish my books had been as quick as the refund. I was worried that wouldn't turn up either. It did. Next time book hound let your customers know when there is a stock shortage on your bundles. I was so looking forward to my books.

Ordered a set “Late Summer Thriller Books” fifteen days later a set of rubbish romances arrives with no despatch note or any covering letter.

Wanted to buy some books from this firm but was kind of put off by some bad reviews. Thinking that it must be difficult to keep up with probably huge demand I went for it!! result was superb, cut price books delivered bang on time> Good service!!

have not received ordered and paid for o 3rd July

Not at all impressed. Ordered some books on 10th April and as they had still not arrived today - 19th April, I phoned to query the delay. Was on hold for in excess of 8 minutes during which was assured several times that my call was important. Upon getting though I queried the cost of the call as well as quoting my order details. Was told that the delay was due to Covid - a remarkably convenient excuse these days and my order should take between 7 and 10 working days.
What REALLY HACKED MY OFF was the use of platitudes such as NO WORRIES and other meaningless expressions - when I commented that the reason for the call was a problem which still hadn’t been resolved and this indeed was a worry of mine. I feel that I should be reimbursed for both my time and the costs of the call.

Disgusted and couldn’t possibly recommend your organisation.
