It’s a good site but the delivery charge is more. They were supposed to take 15 but after I ordered they said it’s 20dhs.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry to see that the 5aed extra made you very upset with our service. The system cannot recognise the expection faraway destinations therefore we have to add it manual. If you are in Dibba, al Dhaid, Hatta or kharfakan, the courier service will charge us extra for delivery therefore we have to pass it on to you as the system will recognise them as Sharjah or Dubai. All this information was passed on to you of course.
Another reason for an extra charge and it could be even more than 5AED is when the books weigh more than 5KG. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Great service
Great business idea and very easy to deal with.
I sold a number of my old books and it was nice to have them go to another good home rather than so many you see thrown out. I have also started buying used books rather than new ones.

Everything is good except for one book…
Everything is good except for one book that I bought. It says it is in good condition but it's actually not. The bind is broken so there are some loose pages.
And i notice that there are books that are not in so good condition but are more expensive than those that are actually good as new. Don't get the logic. :)

Thank you Rabe for your review. Actually Bookends receives the books from the sellers who decide on their prices. That is the reason why we don't have a standard price scheme. We advise our sellers but we don't price the books ourselves. Normally books with loose pages are rejected as we are trying to keep the condition standard very high. Plz let me know by whatsapp which book is of poor condition. Hope this clarifies the logic? :)
