They advertise a money back guarantee. They were unable to provide the service so I requested a refund. They agreed, in writing, that they owed me a refund and promised to process it. That was Jan 12, 2025. This is late February. I messaged the several times. I tried to call (what a joke). Finally I disputed the charge with my credit card company and get this... They are fighting it!

I was scammed by BOIR.ORG. It's free to file a BOI. They charged me $349

Scammed along with many others this Jan. Stupidly gave them some of my info and authorized an initial charge but then they tried to charge me again a few weeks later which tipped me off to stolen bank info and possible identity theft. Lesson learned but yes shut them down. Scammers

It is a shame to know these people are pretending as if they are affiliated with the government and are deceiving people, without any consequences. I also was tricked and tried contacting the company without any response. The only alternative is to call my bank and dispute the charges.

I thought Boir.gov was legit. They advertised that the fee was $149. I received a notification from my bank asking if I had made the charge. I was on the road so I replied yes. When I got back to my computer I saw that they had charged $349. I called, emailed and they sent a fake link to request a refund. The button never worked. I filed a claim with FTC and they gave me a case number. Really doubt if I will ever see my $200 but maybe FTC can get them shut down and banned.

Why is this site even a thing? Should definitely be banned or at most do a pop up screen indicating it is not a government website. It is definitely misleading and if it wouldn't have been for another email on another company that I would haven't noticed it wasn't legit. I honestly paid thinking OMG I am being penalized. Ridiculous.

I can’t believe I fell for this. It represents something it’s not. Luckily my bank Contacted me and made me realize it’s not affiliated to the government website. Now they have all my personal information and won’t take it off their site after I contacted them. It’s so misleading.

This company pretends to be the government (although they toned this down after I filed a formal complaint with the BBB--glad I could give them free legal advice!) or at the very least they try to look like they are making a complicated government filing easy--all for the unnecessary fee of $149.00. Well, it's easy as pie on the FREE government site already: FinCEN.gov.

Complete scam! Fraudulent misrepresents itself as a government site until you scroll down to see the small fine print in a footnote which was only discovered after the payment of $349 was made! Nowhere on the main pages is it stated that it is not a government site. It deliberately misleads people and the site needs to be shut down.

I will add myself to the long list of people that got scammed. I hate the world.

Misrepresenting themselves as FinCEN; they have copied the website and information to mislead consumers - do not provide information or payment data to this company. FTC and FinCEN are warning about these scams as well. BOIR filing is FREE.

Boir.org is a deceptive website that makes you believe you are on the official government site to fill out the BOI (Boarding of Intent) form. In reality, it is not an official site, and they charge $349 for a process that is completely free on the government website.

This is a scam targeting people who are unaware, and it preys on those trying to comply with regulations. Be cautious and always double-check you are on the official government site before entering any personal information or making payments.

I was scammed out of $349, I've already filed a report with the police. Scammers!! The BOI registration is supposed to be free!!!!

I never get scammed and this was the first time. I thought something was wrong with my credit cards and I should have known this was not a legit site. I was in panic mode as I found out about this BOIR needing to be filed before January 1st I really did think I was on the IRS site. Wow. I emailed them as I cannot find a phone number and have not hard from them. I contacted my bank and I am waiting for them to take the charge off. I'm very worried that some scammers in Florida have my information.

SCAM ALERT. I was just scammed by this website. There is no charge for the BOIR filing. So, when my card was charged $349, I IMMEDIATELY realized I had been scammed. Contacted them right away, but they refused to issue a refund. Currently in the process of disputing it with my bank.
