“To create an unique, environmentally friendly product that could really and finally stop deer damage.” That was the goal over 30 years ago of our founder Robert Ecsedy. His vision, determination and ingenuity launched and propelled Bobbex to being recognized today as the leader in safe and effective animal repellents. Bobbex Overview: A Passioned Beginning In the late 1980s, Robert “Bob” Ecsedy (last name pronounced X-City, and known as “Bob-X” to his friends) lived in Newtown, Connecticut and worked in sales. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a degree in chemistry, Bob represented various chemical companies in support of Northeast manufacturing. Bob’s personal interests centered around horticulture and gardening, serving for several years as the President of the Fairfield Horticultural Society. Once retired, Bob Ecsedy dedicated himself even further to his gardening passion, planting and managing a large garden with over 300 tomato plants. Bob used a slurry of fish products as a “more natural” fertilizer for his crops. He noticed that after using his unique mixture, deer tended to avoid eating the fertilized plants. At that moment, the “seeds for sowing a new product” were planted! Combining his chemistry background and horticultural experience, Bob began passionately tinkered with the formulation as he tested a number of changes and variations to improve repellency and longevity. Soon his formula was perfected, and Bob began offering the mixture to friends and associates for trial and comment. This included local garden centers where he took his product for a professional and unbiased assessment. The results were conclusive and unanimous: Robert “Bob” Ecsedy’s Deer Repellent REALLY WORKED! And with that, “Bob-X” launched Bobbex! Bobbex Overview: A Dedicated Future Bob Ecsedy’s success in creating a product to keep deer away from plants was just the beginning for Bobbex Inc. Operating as a private, family-owned and operated company, we are dedicated to helping gardeners and homeowners by providing the most effective, environmentally friendly repellents available. Achievement of this goal was recently confirmed through an independent study performed by the State of Connecticut Department of Forestry and Horticulture. The study tested Bobbex and 9 other leading Deer Repellents, and concluded that Bobbex was the most effective, second only to a physical fence! It’s no wonder our repellents are relied on by commercial nurserymen, master gardeners, rose enthusiasts, and thousands of homeowners looking to protect their valuable landscaping and plantings. With 25 years of direct product use, research, industry feedback, and anecdotal information, our Bobbex staff has developed a knowledge and understanding of deer and herbivore behavior. Shipping is what went wrong

Shipping is what went wrong. For 2 gallons to be shipped loosely in too big of a box could have been disastrous. The box was beat to hell and barely holding up. Can you imagine if that had spilled/leaked in the UPS van?!
I VERY much like your product as it works, but please, ship this smelly stuff properly.

It works!

This product is great! I've been using it for years and it works to keep deer from eating your plants. Easy to use website and the product ships fast.

I learned about Bobbex through Martha…

I learned about Bobbex through Martha Stewart. I had tried just about everything to keep deer from eating my flowers. Nothing worked. Either it smelled really bad or it damaged the flower. I was about to give up when I learned about Bobbex. I've been using it for 3 years now and I'm here to say "it works"!! I've had flowers return to the garden that I've never seen before because they were always being ate by deer. Thanks Bobbex, for making a quality product that actually does what it says. I'm a huge fan. I turn everyone I know on to this stuff!!

Bobbex is the only product I have used…

Bobbex is the only product I have used that stops the deer and small animals from eating my flowers and shrubs. I love that it is made from natural products that are not harmful. The product is delivered to your door quickly. I have referred many friends to their website.

It seems Bobbex always works better in…

It seems Bobbex always works better in spring but as summer goes on I find deer seem to become more tolerant and begin to attack the Hostas vigorously. I’m thinking I need to break down and put up a fence in addition to spraying plants that I can’t corral. Thanks

Didn't work for me

I received four quarts of concentrated Bobbex on Friday June 28th, sprayed my day lilies and by Sunday they had been decimated by deer. I sprayed them again Sunday evening and they were damaged even further by Wednesday morning. I mixed 1 pint of product with 1 gallon of water. How often should I be spraying? Thanks, Don Clark

Great service

Always quick service from purchase to delivery. And the deer repellent product always does a great job keeping the deer from chewing on our gardens.
