I worked with Bluelight again for Final Interview with Andrea as my coach. Her approach to supporting recruitment candidates is outstanding and far beyond even what the academy advertises. Increasing confidence and defining expectations - her experience is unmatched! Naturally, I passed my Final Interview and now onto the next stage!

My review is a five star review, despite the fact that it did not work out for me.

I've used Blue Light Consultancy for my promotion board. My initial thought was that it was very pricey, but with the money back guarantee, it provided some reassurance.

Sadly, I am one of the failures. I didn't pass my board, but this was my fault, not the fault of my coaches. I simply failed to put into practice what I had been taught. It was one of those "brain melt" days, where nothing clicked.

My second attempt was a promotion on transfer, and BLC helped me to hone my application. Sadly, this failed at paper-sift, but my suspicious mind thinks that this was due to my length of service and being so close to retirement. The receiving force would have to take responsibility for my pension, and to promote me into their ranks, for roughly 18 months was probably not financially viable. (The first question on the application form was pretty much akin to"When can you retire?", so I suspected that I was on a hiding to nothing). I genuinely believe that, with the help of BLC, my application was really strong, so I don't think it was their fault. It was the system.

Having had two failed cracks at it, I was entitled to my money back and this is indeed was refunded in full.

So in short:
The coaching was great. Really helpful and upskilled me.
The money back guarantee is real.

From my very first Discovery Call with Matt, it was clear why Bluelight Consultancy has such a strong reputation. They don’t just take anyone on - they genuinely care about your potential to succeed in the Police recruitment process and provide exceptional support from day one.

I signed up for the full OAC course and can confidently say I wouldn’t have achieved the high scores I did without the brilliant resources. My personal coach, Sarah, was incredible - she helped me refine my responses for the Competency Based Interview and gave detailed, constructive feedback that made all the difference.

The ability to join live webinars or catch up on previous ones was invaluable. Every part of the OAC is covered in depth, and the additional videos and learning materials provided clear structures and police-specific guidance that elevated my understanding and performance.

I also chose to sign up for the Final Interview course (the light version), feeling fairly confident but wanting that extra insight into what my chosen force was looking for. Again, Bluelight delivered - one of my interviewers even said “that was really really good” after just the first question!

Without Bluelight’s resources, I don’t believe I would’ve had the insider knowledge or confidence to perform at the level I did. If you’re serious about investing in your future in policing, I couldn’t recommend Bluelight Consultancy more highly.

If you’re thinking about joining blue light academy, don’t just think about it but DO it! I only had 3 weeks to prepare for my DCEP final interview and was so anxious about the whole process. At first, i was skeptical about joining due to financial reasons but now that I’ve passed I’ll never ever look back. The blue light coaches are such lovely people and really just want to support you as much as they can. Brendan in particular was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I was struggling a little with confidence and he really encouraged me to embrace my passion for the job and he really believed in my ability to pass.

I opted for the lite course so knew I had to work that extra bit harder but I wouldn’t have had a clue what to practice if it wasn’t for the blue light resources and coaches the programme offers. As long as you’re willing to dedicate much of your time and effort into your future career the coaches will go above and beyond to help you.

I feel like an entirely different person in terms of confidence and now know what I can achieve all thanks to blue light 💙💡

Having the guidance of the Bluelight team has been nothing short of amazing throughout the whole recruitment process. The coaches knowledge and insights are invaluable. Joining Blue Light Recruitment in 2024 has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The support I received through their materials, coaches and online groups has been invaluable, helping me navigate and pass all stages of the recruitment process with confidence.

I had just a few days more than a week to prepare for my final interview, so I decided to book a discovery call. I had the pleasure of speaking with Matt, who generously made time for a Zoom call on a Saturday morning. This really showcased how helpful and committed they are, as he was ready to assist even on the weekend. The call with Matt was incredibly positive, he offered encouragement and made me feel like a valued part of the team.

With only four days left to prepare for the interview, I was grateful that she was eager to work with me and provide the support I needed.

Her expert guidance on how to enhance my skills was spot on, and I can genuinely say her advice made a huge difference. Overall, I felt optimistic and well-guided throughout this process.

What sets this academy apart in the incredible atmosphere of positivity and encouragement. The motivation I felt pushed me to work harder, enabling me to reach the milestones I've achieved today.

For anyone out there who is unsure about joining. I wholeheartedly recommend becoming part of this amazing team. Their support is outstanding, and if you're ready to put in the effort and heed their advice, nothing can stand in the way of you realizing your dreams.

Going through the application process for the police is something I’ve struggled with for a while now, however thanks to the coaching sessions with Raj and the support which he provided me with I was able to pass the OAC and my final interview and I am now one step closer to my dream job

I had such a good experience! The team at Bluelight have helped me to start my career within the Police. Without the team at Bluelight this wouldn't have been possible. Before finding Bluelight i had failed my National Sift, thought that it was all over. Until i found Bluelight they have helped me achieve the things i never thought i could achieve. My Coach Raj! was amazing really took his time to explain things that i didn't understand. I have since joining this course passed my National Sift, My OAC, and my Final Interview. I couldn't be more happy with my outcome. Once again couldn't have done it without Bluelight.

With blue light, I managed to pass my OAC and final interview. Raj, my mentor, not only gave me fantastic insight to the exams, he helped me prepare to become a police officer.

I found my experience of Bluelight to be first class from start to finish!
Raj was excellent in his approach and was able to tailor his mentoring and coaching to my specific needs, taking the time to identify where my gaps were.
I felt my one to ones with Raj were perfectly complimented by the weekly webinars provided by Bluelight which enabled me to practice my learning and to seek other perspectives and ideas from the other coaches/mentors who were also excellent. Ultimately, this has resulted in me being successful in my promotion board.

From start to finish blue light have been amazing! From all the final interview webinars to the individual coaching from Catherine, it’s been top notch! What can I say, I passed everything with high marks first time thanks to the support I received from Bluelight. Catherine was a fantastic coach who was my guiding light throughout the whole process. The amount of insight and experience Catherine and the other coaches possess is worthy of every penny. They really do know their stuff. The combination of one to one support and the small group webinars was the perfect mix for me. It was also very rewarding meeting and receiving support from other candidates. The price may put some people off but the money back guarantee was a game changer. It must be viewed as an investment into your future and if you're really serious about joining the police then I wouldn't entertain anything other that Bluelight. To prospective candidates I would say sign up for a discovery call to see if it's right for you and if you do join the academy- be prepared to work hard and enjoy an incredible journey!

I Cannot recommend Bluelight enough!! From start to finish I found the whole experience amazing. After having my initial discovery call with Matt, he put me at ease and made me believe I could do this. Jane my Tutor was absolutely outstanding and supported me through everything. Please do not think this is a magic wand to success, You 100% have to put the hard work in to get the results. Combine this with their support and you can do it. For anyone who is wanting to join the police service, I cannot recommend bluelight consultancy enough. The amount of you tube videos produced that offer free advice on joining the police as well as regular updates on services recruiting and giving up to date information on recruitment details and requirements. Former police officers with real world experience offer advice and help to put you on the right tracks. Due to the help from bluelight I have been able to successfully pass the recruitment process.

I found Bluelight just before I applied to the police and I was sceptical as it all sounded too good to be true. I was worried at first as it was a lot of money but after passing the OAC and final interview I couldn’t recommend it enough the support I’ve received has been amazing. It’s all about investing in your future and without the academy I would not have been able to pass the OAC and final interview. From the first call I had with Debbie to then receiving support from my coach Catherine and the webinars with all the other coaches I cannot recommend it enough. Don’t just think about it do it because as long as you put the work in it will really pay off.

I was introduced to the Bluelight Facebook group by a current serving police officer, I soon arranged a call and it all sounded amazing, I was nervous about the price but I can say after doing the OAC course and then the Final Interview course, that it is well worth it! I would not have gotten through both stages without all the webinars with the brilliant coaches, Brendan's guidance, and of course, the amazing Catherine! Who gave me all advice and support that I could've ever asked for, and more; always making sure I was comfortable and being completley transparent! I can't reccommend Bluelight more for anyobdy wanting to go into the police!

I found Brendan's YouTube videos to be a massive help in explaining the early stages of the process and breezed through the sift having just watched a few videos. Struggled a bit with the OAC but again the videos came in clutch! When it came to the final interview I wasn't sure of myself being able to pass, but after a discovery call with Bluelight I was put on track. In a very short timeframe I was given excellent coaching, with lots of honest feedback. I was given a mix of one-on-one sessions and opportunities to join group webinars which helped a great deal. Got the email from GMP with a conditional offer today!

This was one of the best investments in my own future I think I've ever made and I'm grateful to all the staff at Bluelight who made it possible with the resources they put out (but special thanks to my coach Catherine who was brilliant). You can try the videos they put out, join in the webinars that are available to all, but I cannot recommend enough joining the Academy and getting the full potential out of this service and the full potential out of yourself. Easiest 5 star review I've ever done!

I’ve have a year of hard knocks with redundancy and interviews. Although I had plenty of experience and was able to successfully make applications, I lacked the ability to translate my skills and knowledge into the interview. I would also research and overprepare, remembering very little of that on the actual day! My confidence was a bit shaky.
I hesitated before taking the plunge into the BlueLight Academy, but Brendan reached out with some words of wisdom and I decided to invest in myself. I’d been spinning my wheels for long enough and it was time to ask for support.
What I received was pure value from my coach Catherine. We didn’t have much time and she didn’t waste a moment. Her approach cut to the chase and that’s exactly what i needed to adapt and respond. By the time my interview came I felt calm and prepared to answer any question. Because I felt so prepared, I believe I was able to relax and show my true potential to the assessors.
As a result, I was offered the same day as I had my DC interview!
