The support I received from Bluelight was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, they offered advice, encouragement and practical guidance that made a real difference. I was recommended the consultancy before applying to the police and couldn't have asked for more. Their help was invaluable, especially when it came to preparing for the final interview. I'd never done an in-person interview before and was extremely nervous, but thanks to their coaching, I passed the first time. A special thank you to Sarah, who coached me throughout the process. She was incredibly flexible and always there when I needed support. If you're applying to the police, I couldn't recommend Bluelight enough!

I went through the Met Recruitment process, wanting to become a DC, last year: I failed miserably. I, then, enrolled with Bluelight Consultancy and had access to many videos from Brendan (very insightful and helpful) and 1-2-1 sessions with coach Raj Kohli who helped me in successfully passing the assessment. I wouldn't have made it without him! It's a very difficult assessment (4 exercises you have to tackle one after the other. In one word: challenging!) The advice Raj gave me during our sessions was top notch. We talked about each exercise and practiced together and it made all the difference. On the day, I was calm and focused because I knew exactly what I had to do and managed to perform at my best. Raj is an outstanding coach and anyone would be lucky to have him training them!

Having passed the national sift, I had very little time to prepare for the Online Assessment Centre, so utilised Bluelight's services. Jane, my coach was able to put me at ease explaining that there was time to prepare and explained where to focus. Due to work schedules Jane was able to accomodate easily.

Brendan and his team of coaches are brilliant. The knowledge and experience of policing that they are able to impart is worth the investment in the Academy. With a huge amount of videos to cover different forces, there is plenty for others to watch.
The videos available will only get you so far and the Academy will set you up for success, if you put in the work following advice from the team.

Without them, I wouldn't have passed all the stages and be in the position to join my local force in August.

My unbelievably supportive coach Darren enabled me to have not only the knowledge, but also the confidence that I could pass the final interview. The 1-1 coaching helped me to develop and practice my own answers, whilst the webinars added further value as I could hear from different coaches and other members’ own answers and ideas too, so it feels like a holistic approach to preparing, covering all angles and giving opportunities for different learning styles through webinars, 1:1 and online modules too. Aside from the knowledge and expertise, all the coaches I met were so incredibly supportive and have your back all the way - they want you to succeed as much as you do and having that support and belief in my ability really helped build my confidence.

I will say that if you are considering Bluelight, you have to be willing to put in the work and hours yourself too. Just going to the sessions and webinars isn’t enough - the coaches can provide you with all their years of expertise and advice, but you must practice and put the time in too. Don’t think you can just absorb all their knowledge without putting in hours of work yourself. The hardwork pays off when you work with Bluelight as I found this week when I successfully passed my final interview first time.

Incredible tutoring, got me through the OAC and final interview

I literally can’t recommend blue light enough. I was with them for OAC and final interview with Catherine as my coach for both; to say they go above and beyond to help is an understatement, I’ve had 1-1s, webinars, access to exclusive videos etc which all proved invaluable, there’s no way I’d have ever passed without blue light and now I’ve been accepted for the career of my dreams, best investment ever. Thank you to everyone especially Catherine for the invaluable help.

The coaches at Bluelight are brilliant, my coach was Andrea and she helped me every though every step of the recruitment process. The coaches throughout the webinars have been very insightful as well. Definitely would recommend! Worth every penny.

By far the best money I have ever invested, everyone at Bluelight makes you feel welcome, you have access to coaches with years and years of policing experience who know there stuff, they are not only preparing you for the assessments / interviews they are preparing you for a future in the force. Also having access to all the old webinars to go through is great, and pointing you in the direction of what you need to know about your force. Big shout out to Sarah M she worked hard with me and gave me additional time at no extra cost giving me the support and confidence I needed to pass the interview first time, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without you a big thank you to everyone

After a previous unsuccessful attempt at the SIFT, largely due to my dyslexia, I joined the academy hoping for a different outcome. I was incredibly fortunate to be paired with Sarah Morton as my coach – she was absolutely perfect for me.
Sarah truly listened and understood how I learn best. She not only tailored her approach to my needs but also consistently pushed me out of my comfort zone, always striving to get more from me. The skills I developed during our 1:1 sessions were invaluable. They not only helped me immensely with the recruitment process but will undoubtedly benefit me throughout my career. By the time I reached the interview stage, my confidence had improved dramatically.
I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough; working with her was a fantastic experience. I genuinely miss our sessions!

I joined the blue light academy after failing my first attempt at the final interview, I came across Brendan’s videos on u tube and found them really informative so decided to book that discovery call and I’m so glad I did !
From the first phone call with Debbie to discuss how they can help me to then the first 1-1 call with my awesome coach Catherine, I knew I had made the right decision with the investment, Catherine was an excellent coach so knowledgable, professional and excellent with her delivery on every 1-1 we had as a retired DCI I knew I was in safe hands, the weekly webinars with the other coaches who are also ex police were also a great help to see answers from others perspectives. I invested In myself and my future and it paid off I put in the work set by Catherine implemented everything I learnt and I nailed my final Interview and passed with flying colours.
Thank you so much I’m so glad I found the academy if you’re thinking about joining then don’t think do it, I promise you won’t regret it !

I was a bit late in finding blue light consultancy in my promotion process. I already had my board date which was fast approaching and I was looking for quick interview techniques and anything that could help in a structured interview when I stumbled across the YouTube videos that Brendan had put up. Well, after the first one I decided I would immediately try and sign up for the full thing. Problem was I was literally weeks away from boarding, and there is an onboarding process which I physically couldn’t fit in owing to my role and timescales. So I cracked on and I watched every video in their library. Things like how to answer a forward facing question, managing performance and a whole host of other topics had me jotting down notes like never before!
I actually used the “performance triangle” in my interview!! Albeit - I had already been on a police now frontline leadership programme - but that was more aimed at leadership styling and changing the course of policing culture rather than the actual interviews.
I used everything from the videos in my prep, my answers, the operational scenario and he’s not wrong - if you use them well and take it all in coupled with good examples you will pass the board. I had zero support from my upper managers and did this all on my own.

I wish I’d have found them sooner because it would’ve reduced the stress 10 fold!

Bottom line is - if you are serious about passing an interview whether that’s promotion or just joining the job - take it from me this team WILL get you through.

My other half is doing her promotion next year - she will be knocking on bluelight’s door - as will anyone that tells me from now on that they are interviewing for something. Honestly I cannot stress how good this was - and I only got a windows view so imagine what the whole programme is like.

Everyone in the Bluelight team works incredibly hard and it really shows. Raj and Debbie were the two who I had contact with the most and I can truly say I felt supported and cared for throughout the process by them.

Purchased the “Lite” interview package after failing my first attempt at final interview. The material you get is huge in detail and really makes you delve deep into thought. I found it easy to follow and Brendan’s advice is second to none. I was unable to attend any live webinars due to work commitments in the evenings but I watched them all and followed along as if I was in the call. I’m glad to say I passed my final interview this week and want to thank Brendan and blue light for their support and knowledge !

A few months ago, I reached out to Bluelight for assistance with the police Final Interview. This, most certainly, was one of the best decisions that I ever made.
From day one--the very day I contacted Bluelight for the first time--the support that I received was incredible and felt right away in safe hands: a clear and structured work plan tailored to my specific needs and timeline was crafted by Debbie (after taking ample time to understand to my situation) and a coach was allocated to me immediately for 1-2-1 sessions.
The help and expertise that I received from my coach, Andrea, went beyond all expectations. Not only did Andrea help me prepare for the interview thoroughly, breaking down everything in a way that made me fully prepared (through structured answers, real-time feedback... etc), she gave me the confidence that I needed. Andrea was most professional, yet approachable and friendly, and available almost all the time: every time that I had a question (and Andrea surely remembers that I had *many* questions...), she would reply to me straight away or would organise an online meeting to discuss it. As a Bluelight member, I was also lucky to benefit not only from online material but from weekly online group sessions where I was able to share my 'answers' with other candidates and listen to their own tips, under the guidance of a coach. Again, not only were these sessions most helpful, the environment was always relaxed, often thanks to the coach bringing his great sense of humour(!), making the experience far less stressful and more enjoyable.
And support did not stop here: the guidance that I received during the vetting period--a stressful time for all candidates--proved equally valuable. Bluelight's expertise and experience in such complex matters undeniably helped me go through vetting.
