Brilliant experience with customer support (Katie) after a matcha whisk I bought as a gift stopped working. Very easy to communicate with their team, they organised collection, testing, and then delivery of a replacement, plus a little gift for my hassle (there was no hassle).

I've been a customer of Bird&Blend since 2020. It started as a little treat here and there during the lockdown, but the orders became more and more frequent, as I wanted to try more teas.
I tried a subscription for a little while, which made me very happy. I cancelled a subscription when I was cutting down on my spending. It has always been very straightforward, easy and enjoyable with B&B.
My closest store is in Exeter, and I come down every few months, get some teas, buy a matcha to drink on the way home, and the staff is always super friendly, chatty and nice. Today, however, I had a particularly fantastic experience. The lovely girl in store (I'm so sorry I forgot to ask her name!) was just so kind and friendly, super funny, honest and just overall brilliant. I left with 8 teas, a tin of matcha, a tote bag and a cup of matcha in hand. I hadn't had the best day, but she completely turned it around for me; I left so happy, and she just made my day.
See, this is why I love B&B. Yes, it's more expensive than buying tea from a supermarket. Yes, it's a bit of a journey for me (can we have a store in Plymouth, please?). However, I just don't enjoy supermarket teas. I get all giddy and excited when I make myself a cup of tasty tea in the evening or have my flavoured AND sugar-free matcha at work. I love that B&B gives me this great experience, whether online or in store. Thank you for this guys, just keep doing you.

I have visited Bird and Blend Canterbury twice now. The first time was when I was walking past and a very nice lady offered me a sample of cream egg. I mentioned that I could only have dairy free and decafinated and when she said it was both and I tasted it, WOW I just had to buy a bag and take it home. But spending time with Roxy and trying some other teas out, I actually left with 4 large bags.

On visiting the second time and getting into more knowledge, it became very overwhelming with the hospitality of both Roxy the manager and Ciara. Their in-depth fascinating knowledge and contagious excitement grew on me as soon as I entered the shop.

What I was nervous about was how I struggle day to day with brain fog after having cancer 4 times, but yet again, Roxy spent loads of time with me explaining everything really slowly and waiting patiently whilst I took everything down in my notes.

I left with another 3 bags of various teas and can't wait to return to sample some Ice teas.

I purchased the 3-month Tea Tasting Club subscription along with the gravity steeper as a gift for my dad, who loves trying different teas, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The items arrived on time and were very well packaged, which is always reassuring when ordering gifts. The subscription itself is a great idea and I’m really looking forward to seeing him enjoy and explore the different teas over the next three months.

The gravity steeper is excellent as well, really easy to use and a great addition to the whole experience.

Overall, a smooth ordering process and a fantastic gift option. Very pleased and would definitely order again.

We booked last Sunday evening's tea workshop as a celebration for our 14 year old's birthday, and it couldn't have been more wonderful. Thank you so much, Flo and Hannah, for guiding our daughter and her friends (and us!) in tea tasting, tea blending and the matcha ceremony with Hot Cross Bun matcha! We learnt so much about tea, and loved trying all the different sorts. You were incredible in taking us on the journey for close to 3 hours, thank you for being so incredibly kind, patient and fun. We left with lots of tea to enjoy in the coming weeks and will definitely be back.....Nina & Andrew (parents of Darcy, birthday girl)

What an idiot I am!! Never going to get tea from here again, I used to think this was a treat. I paid £13.45 (that’s with a blue light discount) for 150g loose BBB. I never thought to look for loose tea in the supermarket. I have found an even better black tea from M&S, strong, flavourful, 250g for £2.80
Won’t be wasting money with bird and blend, I don’t know how they can justify those prices!!!

My family visited Bristol England in June of 2025. We stumbled into Bird & Blend Tea Co while exploring. We were shocked. My family lives in Kansas USA and we have never seen tea of this quality before. We purchased quite a bit of it while visiting Bristol, but since coming home I have ordered much more. I have sent many orders of this tea my friends and family. It’s been quite the experience to try the sheer volume and variety of this quality tea. America may not have the same kind of tea culture as England, but through these positive experiences it is growing. Your tea is not just a gift to England but to the whole world!

Very poor customer service. I requested to cancel a subscription service prior to it shipping, they still shipped it. Offered for me to send it back and still be charged shipping! Beware.

Fast delivery - even to my wee village in the EU, this only takes 2 days.
On the rare occasion that I needed the customer service (and never was it their own fault), I got treated with respect, the replies were fast, and Katie has been beyond helpful.
I started drinking B&B teas almost 2 years ago and still love discovering new flavours. A few cups a day are a must!

I wanted to purchase some limited edition Easter blend teas as gifts. Good thing I asked if they come in the tin depicted in the image - apparently not, here's the reply I received:

Unfortunately, all of the sizes of this particular blend come in pouches.
The silver tin pictured in the first image is the large 1kg one that features on our giant 'tea walls' in our stores. However, we completely understand that new customers or customers who haven't visited a store wouldn't have come across these before, and I am so sorry for the confusion!
The vast majority of our teas come in our blue eco-friendly pouches which are suitable for home compost.

I'm sure the tea is lovely, and I might still buy it for myself, but I do feel like it is false advertising to depict the beautifully decorated tin as the main image and NOT display any images of the actual packaging (blue pouch) it arrives in.

On Monday we were chuffed to bits when we spotted your shop in York. We’ve ordered from you online but loved being able to have a wander around your shop.

Your tea is top notch but what really made this the best visit was your amazing staff - what a team you have in this shop! I’m so sorry, I can’t remember names (an amazing gent with long hair, he/they pronouns and the BEST taste in clothes (epic Frankenstein t shirt and beetlejuice pins!) and a lovely lady with red hair and glasses, plus a gorgeous accent) but they were just so lovely!

We came into the shop with our two boys (7 and 12), and they were totally mesmerised. The team let them smell lots of different teas, spoke to them about what was in them, let them have some samples and involved them as much as they did us. I loved that and how it was so natural - it really was magical! My youngest likened it to a better version of Willy Wonka’s factory in tea form. I agree with him!

We’re from the Midlands so this visit was part of a little break in York. When the boys have been asked about their favourite bit of half term, both said the visit to the ‘Willy Wonka tea shop’ and the magic tea makers! It has really made me smile 😊

Please can you pass this on to the team and let them know that Monkey Chops, Chocolate Digestive and Coconut Chai are being drunk on repeat thanks to their introductions 😊

How lovely to be able to taste the tea before purchasing. Reasonably priced and interesting range of teas available. In store tea and matcha bar too. We were given time to browse without feeling pressured to buy. Overall a great experience

A wonderful change from a more well known brand name! The staff were lovely, treating us with kindness and respect. Lots of great choices and we could smell to our hearts delight. Even had a sample. A fab experience.

After getting a new teapot for Christmas, I’d been on the hunt for a well-stocked loose leaf tea shop in Cardiff, when I happened upon Bird & Blend in Royal Arcade. On my first visit yesterday, I was greeted by such friendly and helpful staff, which made the whole experience really lovely - nothing was too much trouble and I was able to take as much time as I liked whilst browsing. Being able to smell all the different teas before choosing was such a treat. The girls there are absolutely wonderful! I can’t wait to come back. Thank you x

Visited the Glasgow store today and was so impressed with Natasha’s customer service. We were in the shop for almost an hour and the time flew by. Natasha listened to us and asked what we like and gave us lots of ideas and we left very pleased with our new purchases.

I love drinking special teas and this site is the best ever I 100%recommend it
