Good experience with exchange, and a free helmet by mistake!
I've just had a very good experience with Biltwell, they've done an excellent job with customer service, and as a result, my sister is extremely happy, having just bought her first motorbike, and the lovely new helmet being a gift from her siblings.
I ordered a helmet from the 'sale' section but in the wrong size. (After spending a fortune on a dud store locally with awful customer service, see my other TrustPilot review!)
Biltwell happily exchanged it, I just had to cover the shipping back to them in the US from New Zealand. They paid for the shipping costs back to my sister as well, by courier, which is not cheap from the US to NZ.
The wrong size helmet was returned, and as soon as they had the tracking information, they shipped out the replacement, and it was there within a week.
Unfortunately for them, when the wrong size helmet was returned to them, some internal process has fallen down, as they then sent out ANOTHER right size helmet! At this point, they have made zero dollars off me, and by all my accounting, probably lost money on shipping! Soz 😆
I emailed them to say make me an offer, or send me a return shipping label, and they have given us the second helmet for free due to the logistics headache. We are very grateful, that was very generous of them, it will not go to waste. The service provided has been really great, very communicative, very prompt, no arguing, no problems. Good customer service truly does trump everything. 🏆
I wasn't expecting to be able to exchange it due to it being on sale, but they were awesome and there were zero questions asked or issues encountered. I guess it's not to their benefit to NOT have people riding around in their helmets!
