Bills at Windsor was pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They bothered to ask about allergies and to ensure there were no cross contamination with the meal even with various dietary requirements on the same table. Well done to their staff and chef for checking!

Service was good, food ok.
Did not appreciate the automatic 12.5 percent service charge added to the bill. It was not pointed out to us so we had paid it before we were given the paper bill.

We went to Wimbledon Bills. I ordered Bills big brunch. It wasn’t, a portion of mushrooms was no more than 1 /2 mushrooms, a desert spoon of beans, two half size rock hard inedible sausages. Don’t bother, absolute waste of money.

Bills at Exeter 30.11.2024 work Christmas meal. Table booked for 6.00pm did not sit down until 6.40 as table occupied, asked to go and have a drink while waiting. Three members of the party to include myself had caramelised onion and cherry tomato tarte tatin. The tart tasted of vinegar, the vegetables were very crunchy. I spoke to a manager whom said they would talk to the chef. When I payed the bill I discussed the tart and vegetables again. The same manager came back and apologised, reported the chef had used too much balsamic vinegar. Asked me if I would be coming again. Won’t recommend Bills to anyone.
At 8.20 just receiving our puddings, waiter said we needed to vacate the table by 8.30.

Tried the new Bill’s in Milton Keynes with my boyfriend and was very excited about having one more local to us. I ordered the vegan burger and my boyfriend the beef burger. My boyfriend was given the vegan and I was given the beef burger and I didn’t realise until halfway through which made me feel sick. The manager was amazing and gave us our whole bill for free and offered me an extra drink and food. However, the waitress who made the mistake didn’t come over to apologise which upset me. I would suggest marking vegan burgers with a little flag in the future so servers actually know which is which. Thankfully I’m vegan and it’s not a huge deal as it’s a choice but this could be dangerous for someone with an allergy.

Our server, Pheebe was great. She was attentive without being obtrusive. Excellent service.

Never had a good experience with Bills, not only in one city but different cities, they just seem like a company that hire people with no respect nor manners, customer service is terrible, usually when you’re in the wrong you apologise to your customers, they are just rude and show no empathy. In Birmingham they completely forgot about us and didn’t even bring our drinks till we reminded them 40 mins later. In Nottingham they told us that our table would be ready for a set time, we double checked with them to make sure it would be ready at that time as we had other travel arrangements on the day. We went back at the agreed time and they told us our table would be ready in another 20-30 minutes, without apologising. terrible service!

I booked a party of 7 for Bill's Horsham on 17 November for the Xmas Set Menu lunch, however all did not go as smoothly as I'd hoped.

1 - We arrived at 12.30pm, but no food was brought out till approx. 2pm... an unacceptable time gap, especially given we'd pre-ordered our food.

2 - My wife ordered an £8.25 passion fruit mimosa, which arrived in a champagne glass that was only half full. We sent it back as it was only half a drink.

3 - On the whole, service was slow and not great. Despite that we did pay the added service charge, but did so reluctantly, more so as not to spoil the occasion.

4 - We were seated quite near to the front door, which meant it got very cold when people entered. I was surprised at the seating positions, given we had booked far in advance.

5 - The overall atmosphere was not very "Christmassy". Perhaps that's because we are still in November, but I think that could be improved.

6 - On the plus side, the food (when it came) was great, in particular the prawn cocktail starter and turkey main.

I brought all of these points up with Bill's Horsham by email on 18 November and reminded them on 25 November that they could at least have the good grace to answer me. To date, nobody has even bothered. I know they are busy, but failing to address customer concerns will, eventually, lead to a downturn in any business.

Very Friendly Staff. Very busy but so helpful with my disability. Very good menu, we ordered 2 main courses with extras, 3 coffees, 2 desserts, 1 cold drink. Very tasty food, haven’t been to Braintree for a while but given 20% discount off total bill. Well worth a visit, even though staff were busy still very attentive. Would recommend food and atmosphere.

we attended bills in lewes last night for a family set xmas menu.
the atmosphere was lovely and vibrant and the location and the decor is stunning.
the staff were very attentive and even though it was busy we were made to feel special. which was due to our waitress Nisha.
This location in particular is well worth the visit due to the decor which is not like any other bills location i have attended but then i believe this was the original bills.

Had a lunch with my mum today and had a truly great experience, Pedro our waiter was so helpful, the food was amazing, we would definitely return. Thank you Pedro

(vegan / veggie) Food was nice, although there could have been more options. Service wasn't fab, had to ask where our drinks were - which is very poor - and then had to ask twice for a condiment when our food came.
When it came to paying, the service was "optional", i.e. you had to ask to opt out, which might be a bit uncomfortable or embarrassing for some people. It should be an opt-in choice, clearly available. This annoys me. The whole system of tipping in the country is a bit of a nonsense. If you want your staff to have more money, then pay them more! And, yeah, I know this will raise the prices a bit, but don't ask me to make decisions when it comes to paying the bill and put me in a potentially awkward position.

Nice food and drink, quick service, and Rosie at the Southampton restaurant took very good care of us.

Visited Bill’s in Farnham. Staff were very polite and attentive, we had encounters with several staff on duty and all were very polite and friendly. It was fairly quiet but it was a Monday evening - however they do a Monday night super club which is 2 courses and a drink which works out very good value, especially as it includes cocktails. We all had different dishes and each of us enjoyed our food very much. Needed to ask for my sons burger to have several items removed this was no bother and came as instructed. Really lovely evening enjoyed by the 4 of us will definitely be going back again.

Reasonably good food, but the pre-issued 12.5% "optional" service tip is a bit naughty...

Not a pleasant visit this time at the Eastbourne Bills, not sure the waitress was properly listening. I ordered the buttermilk chicken burger and got a beef burger, I asked for no salt on the chips, they were so salty, inedible I should have sent it back but to be honest I lost the will by then. Manager offered two coffees as a gesture. Didn't want coffees and thought they might have at least removed the chips from the Bill as I had only eaten one. Unfortunately this visit was not the usual standard that we have had before, so would be reluctant to return.

Had an error with my bill, and there is literally no way to contact them. Phone number tells me to go website. Website hasnt responded in several days. Chat function is a bot which goes round in circles. Instagram says they cant help. Where is the customer service. What is the actual point.

Visited Tunbridge Wells branch today. Service was pretty slow with even the drinks so delayed the ice was melting on arrival. Fish goujons were dry and tasteless but hubby enjoyed his fish pie. Desserts were tasty.
Main objection was when we received the bill we were given no time to check the bill before the waitress arrived with the card machine. Consequently my husband asked her to add 10% to the total, not realising they had already added 12.5% service charge. She didn’t have the decency to point out the service charge like most restaurants do, they even point out that the charge is optional and can be removed if desired. In total therefore, we paid 30% tip for mediocre food and service. Very disappointing!
